Hey MJ, fish oil and omega-3 should do the trick! :D Because ideally that's what you are getting from the fish. Plus.. personally I hate the taste of anything remotely "fishy" :D

So you all sound like you are doing so well. Even with studying MJ! :) I am so proud of my team!!!

I have to confess, that when I've snuck on the scales early, they've gone up a bit. :( but I am HOPING that is just because its STILL that TOM for me and I'm having a bad cycle this month, so I hope its just water. Because I have been SO good. Or maybe the scale just tricked me by saying 156 last week! :( Grr... Wish me luck guys.

On a happy note, these dress slacks, from coming out of the dryer, feel really lose today!! That has to account for somethin!

i'm sure taking the omega three would be good..i've just bought some multivitamins with omega 3 (got them for my daughter, but figured i might as well take them too). i LOVE fish though, especially salmon (drool). shame its too expensive!

don't like fish? that's a shame! how about shellfish? darn, i love it all..

i would completely IGNORE your stupid scales and go with the feeling of the loose dress slacks. focus on the positive, i say :D

had a fairly good day yesterday. unfortunately caved to a couple of wholemeal (homemade) chocolate chip cookies, but drank heaps of water and went to the gym.

i can barely move after bodypump class! i am getting tired these days - think its time for another vitamin b shot. i can't get vb from food or pills, i have to get sore injections in my butt :(

what will today bring - i think i'll go to the gym and do the treadmill, no classes i want to do are on today..

go team :)

oh, do we weigh in tomorrow? is that the end of the challenge?
 
looks like everybody is doing great,

I went to the gym this morning, and spoke to the trainers about doing the powerlifting, and aranged to have the gym owner to spot for me to work out what my 1 rep max is for the squat and working out a more powerlifting focused weights program rather than general strength.

the trainers said i have the strength and the perfect build :D now i just have to get rid of this fat.
 
ooh, powerlifting! gonna be fun to watch the progress on that :D

question: after you have a weight session (i did bodypump yesterday and owwww) and you are in large pain the next day, how should you tackle it? should i go to the gym and do the treadmill? i don't want it to stop me from exercising, but i don't want to increase my pain!

if i am sore after a heavy workout the next day i will do some light cardio or spend some time stretching or hitting the punch bag to get the blood flowing which speeds up recovery also known as active recovery

thanks tru - that's just what i needed, great info :) i couldn't get to the gym today, too hot and i ended up sleeping this arvo - very unlike me, but i need that shot! i've done some stretches and i'll do more tomorrow before tackling another step class :)

Hey Gals! Just popping in to say I'm doing good! I have a bunch of stuff to do today, but I'll be back on later. So far today is going good. Lot's of grapefruit. haha

i was wondering if you'd gone to a step class yet? or maybe one of the others at your gym? how's the karate going? my son was a yellow belt, but when we moved here a year ago he had to go to a no belt (apparently its a different type of karate). so he's now on a white belt, poor fella. hope he goes up a couple this year!

i'm so sore from pump class, didn't think i'd manage my step, but then i thought about tru's advice and off i went !

g'day newleaf - two workouts a day still? i'll go and check your diary in a sec!

had a good day today, its still really hot but i managed to go to the gym twice - i did a step class for an hour in the morning and then went back this evening for a bodypump class. figured i needed to make up for not doing anything yesterday :D now to figure out how to convince my son to come tomorrow and wait for me - might need to bribe him with an xbox magazine :D

so, i guess we weigh in tomorrow then. let's go ahead and post our (hopefully) losses - good luck to everyone :)
 
i forgot - today my doctor, who hadn't seen me since last october when i sobbed over my weight being its highest ever, said that i looked like i'd lost heaps of weight :) i still don't feel it though, its 8 kilos but i feel just the same as before (ie gross). do you feel that way too? until i fit back into my old clothes i'll feel fat, i reckon :/
 
Sheidi, well it is tough to feel great about the weight loss when you still think you have a ways to go. Somedays I'm elated at what the scale reveals again and other days I am frustrated that its not more, or I still have 30lbs to go! But the point is.. its steps, to get where I need to be. :) I'm not taking any backwards and that's better than nothing. So try and focus on what you HAVE accomplished, rather than where you're going, or the distance left to get there :D

Made it to the gym today. I guess our official weigh in for the end of the challenge is Friday 2-3-2006. I weighed in this morning, and changed my ticker because I thought it was today. That's ok, gives me tomorrow to uh.. maybe lose another half pound or somethin?? lol!! I can only wish :D
