Here's how it works: Every Friday you will weigh-in. Please edit your original post with your weight instead of posting a new chart each week. This will make it easier for me to find. This will not only be the weigh-in thread, but this will be the thread that you can discuss things, and cheer each other on! Every Saturday after weigh-ins I will post who got eliminated. Eliminations work like this: Every week the 3 teams will weigh-in. The team with the highest weight loss percentage will keep all of their members. The other 2 teams will each lose 1 member. There will be a few non-elimination weeks throughout the challenge, but I will not announce them until the day eliminations will have been posted. Good Luck to everyone.

I haven't been in a challenge before! I've been here over a year and the last few months I've been bobbing around up and down without getting to a new weight - so I'm hoping this will add a bit of extra interest and help me get down to where I really want to be!

I hope it's ok if I weigh-in Saturday morning my time (which will still be Friday evening Brandy's time) cos I can get a more consistent weight that way.

Happy Saturday, Blue team!!!

So it's been a long while since I did a challenge on here, but I thought it might be fun to introduce ourselves and just give a little info. Just to kinda kick start the team thread. (Albeit it is a wee bit cheesy, so forgive the lameness. ;) )

I'm Heather, I'm 26 and as of two weeks ago I was 215lbs. This is definitely the heaviest I've ever been, not to mention the most unhealthy in general. I've had multiple issues with food in the past, and am currently working with a therapist (started for other reasons) and talking to her about the issues. Hopefully I'll be seeing a nutritionist soon as well, insurance coverage permitting. I'm now down to 208.5 according to the scale, but my weigh-in days are on Sundays. I pop on the scale every other day or so to check. But I'm definitely happy with this progress! I'm incorporating a 5 meal a day plan with plenty of fruits and veggies. Much of my motivation also comes from the fact that I'm getting married in a little over a year - gotta look svelte for that white dress!!!

So how bout everyone else? What kind of things have worked for you?

Thanks for the intro Heather.

I was around 204 - 211 (depending which scales you use), when I joined here. I lost 57 lb very steadily, before I went on a 3 week holiday last September. I gained 10 lbs. Since then my weight has bounced around between that 10 lb gain and the lowest number. I still have 4 lb to relose to get back to my lowest weight. I have a binge eating problem and it resurfaced during the holiday. Lately I've been working big time on dealing with that, and I'm hoping that I will be back to getting more consistently downwardly leading results!!

I try to eat balanced meals and have lots of veges and some fruit. I eat a lot of yummy stuff, even when I'm losing weight. I try to get some sort of exercise most days. It isn't always intense, but I get a kick out of the things I do - bushwalking my dog, swimming in the pool and at the beach, dancing. I belong to a gym but mostly use it to swim and sometimes for the elliptical.

I can be a bit out of wack with most of the people here re: weather and times because I live in Western Australia.
 
Hey Felici! Thanks for the intro. :) I'm super impressed with the progress that you have made - that's just awesome! It's always nice to see someone who had a similar start weight as myself who was able to lose the weight they wanted to lose. You rock :)

Hello teammates! long end of the week at work but i managed some personal time today. After my spin class on Fri morning I hit the scale so my weight is accurate. Let's turn it on!

Heather--I started at 277.5 and am currently fluctuating between 219-223lbs. I basically eat between 1400-1800 cals a day and exercise 3-5hrs per week, doing cardio and strength training. It has taken me about 14months to do this. Rather slow, but my body seems to enjoy plateauing. :ack2:

Well, I was down a half pound this morning, and expect to be down at least another pound by tomorrow to give me a 1.5lb loss for the week. If all goes to plan. :smash:

Ooops! Almost forgot to post for Friday! Sorry for the delay. Hope everyone else is doing well! Here I thought my progress had slowed, and I realized I had a 2lb loss from last week! Whee!
