Prefix for Cohen's Lifestyle
Hey jen

good going with the weight loss. That must have improved your day for sure.

Sam:)

Hi Jen

You are doing very well. Try not to set your goals to high, as you will be less likely to get disappointed. Well that is what I am trying to do anyway. I was quite upset however with the week that I only lost 0.8kg, but I made up for it this week and lost 2.5kg. I am just trying to look at the big picture if I have a slow week. But it is so hard when you just want to get there already!!

I am having a fancy dress party and have started looking at some skinnt outfits that I might wear for my 30th for some motivation.

Anyway you are doing really well. And it feels great doesn't it when you can resist the yummy food you make for others :) I have not caved yet!! But have been tempted on a few occasions.

Hi Jen,

Congrats on the weight loss!! I agree with Sal about keeping your expectations on the low side. Otherwise you'll just be dissappointed and that is never good when you're trying to stay in the zone. Good luck!

Jen, I just wanted to introduce myself as I am from Geelong too, started 22nd Feb and around the same starting weight. How is it going?

Thanks everyone!

Sorry I have been MIA but things are so crazy here I am finding it hard to keep track of everything!

So WEEK 4 I lost my smallest weight so far of 1.5kg to bring my loss to 10.4kg in 4 weeks. :) Thrilled. I also lost 45.5cm so that is really awesome.

I am fitting (snuggly) in to some size 16 jeans I haven't worn in a LONG time. Very good feeling I must say.

I have been facing some negative feedback from friends which has knocked me a bit but I have come to realize their attitude is more about themselves than it is about me.

Hoping for a goo loss on Monday. 2kg would be good.

I am SO sick and tired of the food at the moment. Last night I had to force my dinner down. I am going to have tp try to be creative cos if I eat another chicken salad any time soon there will be trouble! :ack2:

Anyway, thanks again everyone for your support. XXX

Jenn, I have had negative comments laos because everyone knows someone that did the program and put the weight back on....blah blah blah I say.
You have had great results so far also.
Have you tried these things:
Mango/Chilli Chicken
Chicken Laksa
Crumbed Fish, veal or chicken
Prawn Salad
Curried egg on crackers with tomatoe, onion and lettuce
Soup using just vegies or meat and vegies
Mozerella melted on tomatoe on crackers
My Fav....Mango smoothie. I have this nearly everyday for breakfast.

Hi Jen

Glad to see you are still touching base with us here as well. Moi seems to be a genius when it comes preparing Cohens food.....so maybe check in with her for ideas.
Cohens is a tough one but think of the results in the long term.....and 10.4kg in 4 weeks
you should be doing cartwheels!!!!!!.
Keep true to the program and after awhile it just becomes secondary....I had to tackle this program through xmas which was my own choice and also during a house move and all the unsettling issues that go with this.....but I did....I had the odd deviation but that was due to the circumstances of the move. Like I've said before I found the program great it the post weighloss that is the challenge but I am still in there
......I never want to go back to my original weight.
Keep well.
Sam:)

Congratulations for the 4wk result that is fantastic. You should be over the moon.

I totally understand getting sick of the food. I have no problems however with meal 2 and 3, it is breakfast that I really struggle with. The only thing i can get down is mango smoothie, but that is becoming a struggle, I have to force every swallow down. I started out having egg and veggies in the morning but after 2 weeks I just could not eat another egg. I have tried since but I just brought it back up again. I don't like the cheese for breaky just to much and same with veggies and salad for breaky just to much for me to take. So I am stuck with mango smoothies. I usually love mangos but I am seeing myself slowing getting sick of them. I don't know how I am going to last through the program on this for breaky for another 40+ kg's. I could live on a piece of Vegemite on toast everyday and never get sick of it. I soooooo look forward to that again. I am taking everyday as it comes and persevering with breaky and hope I can keep it up to my goal, but somedays I am just not sure if I am going to make it.

Did you get the recipe book when you got your program, I cannot eat everything in the book, but I tend to change the recipes a bit to suit my tastes.

Have you checked out this website, it has some yummy recipes. I really like the first one with the chicken with rosemary and spinach. Tastes a little like a mini roast. I put different things in chicken to change it up a bit, like tomato, muchrooms or any vegie from the cohens menu.

Also with the mince patties with either chicken of beef, I mix different thing in with the mince. Like tomato, zucchinis, squash, spring onions, red onion or any vegies I feel like and then change the flavor by adding a different spice each time, Mix it up between, garlic powder, or fresh garlic, or a very small amount of curry powder or mustard powder. This is a very quick and easy meal to prepare and I have a salada cracker on the side.

Let me know how you go if you try any of these meals.

Thanks Sam, Ez & Sal. I will try some of those recipes. :)

Well, Week 5 and I lost 1.8kg and another 4.5cm. I am happy with that (would have liked more ;) ) and feel a little more positive at the moment. I hear you Sal, sometimes I wonder how I am ever going to make it to the end! My breakfast are my favorite. I have been having a few omelette's a week and on the other days I cook my apple in Sprite till its all mashy, add cinnamon and mix it through the yogurt. It's really yummy. I too over-did the mango smoothies so I am having a break! I find once I am eating the food for the other meals I enjoy it but its while I am cooking I feel un-interested. I am going to buy some chicken breast mince from Leonard's this week and try some things with that.

Going away tonight to see my Nana but wont have any trouble with the plan cos mum's coming too and she is also on Cohen's.

Well better get going. I'll try pop in to everyones diary's and see how your all going some time today... XXX
