Cohen's Lifestyle Shine On ReFeed

Prefix for Cohen's Lifestyle
Day 14 Cont:

Lunch: Chicken Salad, including carrot!

Dinner: Lamb Salad with Fruit Salad for dessert.

Day 15
Weight: 63.2kg (.2 above goal weight)

Breakfast: Yogurt with 1/2 mango 1/2 berries. Toast with Butter and a Coffee.

Lunch: Lamb and chicken with pan fried spinach, mushrooms and zucchini.

Dinner: Went out to Squires Loft for my brother's bday dinner. The BEST place to go on Cohens! They tell you how much your steak weighs, so I had the 200g Eye Fillet. The steak comes w either a jacket potato or fries, so I skipped those which they would have substituted for a basic green salad, but I went the grilled veggies instead ~ mushroom, onion, zucchini and a slice of pumpkin which fitted in well to my carbs allowance. I also had a slice of freshly baked bread.

We had our street Christmas party which was so much fun. We met all our neighbours which was great after only being here for 2 weeks. I drank mineral water and also munched on a beef meatball that someone brought.

Day 16
Weight: 63.2kg (stable, creeping, stable, creeping hmmm)
Breakfast: Yogurt and Blueberries, 1/2 a slice of toast w butter.
Lunch: lamb and chicken with spinach and tomato, pan fried.
Dinner: Chicken with Carrot and Broccoli, 50g pasta and corn.
Skipped on the coffee seeing it uses up my whole 50ml milk allowance, and split the milk over 3 cups of Rooibos Tea. Much more satisfying actually! I missed my favourite tea!

Went for an hour walk after dinner around the neighbourhood. So very different to our inner city home! I loved the peace and quiet, the scattering of Christmas lights, the local shops, even though they were closed, a few other after dinner walkers and joggers. My earphones kept falling out of my ears, must fix this it was really annoying.

Must of had over 3L of water which is unusual for me!

Day 17
Weight: 62.9kg!! HAPPY! Hopefully tomorrow I will be down again too. Less bread, more water, exercise and not the whole portion of veggies and protein, but the variety will be there.

Breakfast: Blackberries in Yogurt. Wow, the colour was amazing. I love Barmixing it all up to see what amazing colours will come out. 1 Rooibos Tea. 1 piece of toast with butter.

Today is ALCOHOL DAY. Oh the choices!!! I think it will be a glass of Chandon from the bottle bought for us to celebrate the new house!

Hi there Shine

Tomorrow is your last day of refeed! Yay! how exciting. It seems like you have made the most of it and tried out some really yummy things. Congratulations on making it through if I do not get a chance to drop by before Christmas and Merry Christmas to you and your family :)

I hope to see you around the forum still even though you'll be in maintenance land - it will be good to keep following your journey and hear from you on my diary too.

Take care of yourself and again, Congratulations for making it to maintenance land! Oh what a feeling!

Love
Kristy

Maintenance Land. I love the sound of this Kris! Thanks so much! Yes, here I am in M Land, and here I shall stay.

I finished ReFeed on Christmas Eve. I toasted Dr Cohen, my lovely online support network (you!), my husband for his support and waved good-bye to those 14ish kgs that I never want to see again!

I feel so good in my skin, in my clothes and moving in my body.

I am still looking forward very much to getting fit, fit, fit, and seeing the gym creche is closed until the 4th, it will be with my hand weights at home, skipping rope if I can find it, yoga mat, fit ball and punching bag if we can find a hook and gloves if I can buy some (I am very much looking forward to a box!!).

OK, off for a walk now. I have had my yoghurt for breakfast, cold meats and salad for lunch left over from yesterday and have been drinking plenty of water.

I did not weigh myself today! I am going back to weekly which feels good. I was curious, and tempted, but feel freedom for not doing it as well! Especially on the day after Christmas where there were no simple carbs, apart from christmas pudding, probably only 2 too many glasses of alcohol, and maybe a bite or two too much chocolate...but all in all a very healthy and mindful Christmas, I may have been the only one not nursing a bloated and full belly which felt really good.

I'll be checking in still! Maintenance is a whole new eating experience that I want to keep on top of and learn from constantly. I still need to make changes to my diet (want to see how I go with soy instead of milk, grainy bread instead of white, possibly flat bread instead of doughy bread, cut out all diet soft drinks, plus play around with legumes, nuts and grains in my experimenting with hunger, weight loss and gain, and a comfortable body).

I also want to get into a regular exercise regeme. My goal is to do Spin Class twice a week, and Pump once with a yoga or Pilates in there as well...and walking regularly. Irregularly there will be swimming and bike riding.

Anyway, taking Moon Boy out in the stroller for a walk to a park and back again.

Happy New Year Everyone!!

I hope you all have a fabulous celebration, with whatever you get up to, to bring in 2010, a year that we can make whatever we want to come true, we know we can, we are such powerful beings!!

I am off to a 70s Disco Party. I am taking the ingredients for a Mojito, but skipping the vodka, and will probably have a glass or two of bubbles too.

I am already looking forward until tomorrow, feeling tired, but not hung over.

Ohh the changes in me, it is quite astounding!
