Hi Everyone:

Things seem to be picking up and some days I will not be online so feel free to greet anyone who might come along and want to join. September FOCUS Challenge Club is open to men and women.

You all totally Rock. I am so happy that I found this forum. :)

LOL, well, I guess for right now we will have to hold off on the chat idea. Until, we can narrow down a schedule we can all do. Hopefully, we can get it together by next week.

I hope that it could be on a Saturday if possible. It would be great if we can meet on Saturday at noon.
 
Ready.... Get Set.... FOCUS

Hi Everyone,

Well, tomorrow is the first day of our Challenge. I just want to encourage all of you and myself with these words. All we can do is to do all we can do. And, then after that, do all we can do. I heard Les Brown say this on television a few months ago..LOL. It makes a lot of sense to check ourselves and make sure we are doing our best. Anyway, I know we will all do great.

Also, remember to Follow One Course Until Successful. Then we will reap the reward of 2lbs down. If you do not lose the weight try not to beat yourself up emotionally. Because, the truth is you know you have done your best.

Also, Monday is a holiday so enjoy the holiday and just keep going the day after. Don't beat yourself up for anything. It won't hurt your plan, as long as, you keep focus and exercise the next day. Here's a saying that I found in a fortune cookie:

Take the right action and your future will bring your heart's desire.

And, that is what we are all doing. Taking the right action. We can do it.. We will make it happen in our lives.

Saturday Sept. 1st - FOCUS CHALLENGE STARTER!!
Weight: 239

Weight loss approach: Adding fruit and veges to my every meal.. one or the other. for snacks Fruit salad or small salads. Only meat is at Dinner, eatting before 6pm everynight. 8 hours of sleep! Water Water Water 120oz every day!! (Halloween Challenge Bonus)

Exercise: Bringing back the Wii! Morning workout (abs, jog, jumping rope) Lunch work out (so many stairs.. so little time!), and evening workout (running, abs and Wii) Tuesday and Thursday evening also includes weights, for the legs.

Weight Goal for Sept. 7: 235
 
Well...it's September 1st.

My weight today is 6lbs up due to that time of the month. But, that's okay because I know this is not my true weight. Nevertheless, I will change my ticker.

Weight 275lbs.

Today, I will have healthy low fat small meals, exercise on the treadmill, drink plenty of water, and take my vitamins.

My weight loss approach: hmm... do I really have one? Just trying to avoid binges because my diet is naturally healthy otherwise. Also, keep up with my exercise. After my half-marathon on the 16th I'll have a few days rest and then get back on track as soon as possible. Yeah, that's my plan :angel:

Hi there...

How is going for you this week?

Things went well yesterday, Labor Day. I had one big meal that I split into 3 meals. I also exercise for 30+ minutes on the treadmill. Today, I exercise for32.31 minutes on the treadmill. I had watermelon for breakfast. And, will have salad, garlic bread, and Salmon sauted in a little olive oil, lemon, and onion seasoned with a blend of herbs. :) That's for lunch and am not sure what I will have for dinner. Snacks with be fruit, or celery sticks. I am drinking plenty of water as well. I don't know if I will lose weight this week but that is fine. I will just keep focus and see what happens in the long run. :newbie:

Hey there vicky!! I'd love to join in for Sept. Focus I think this is going to be a great challenge because not only willit should us the weight loss.. but how we are doing ir and keeps us on track!! this is an awesome idea.. even to those not joining just watching!!!

Weight loss approach: 1000 Calories per day

Exercise: Treadmill, elliptical, swimming, aerobic DVD's

Weight Goal for 3rd September: 165 lbs.

So far so good inspite of everything. I am focusing on eating less starchy foods and more fruit, veggies, and lean meats. I love my treadmill so that is a plus..:rotflmao: I am working on drinking more water and remembering to take my vitamins.. :beating:

Even though it seems like most (if not all) of the posters so far have been women, I would still love to do this challenge. I need some more motivation to keep me going :)

Well, I have a had a good but also irritating weekend. My fridge is on the boom. The freezer freezes food but the fridge part keeps everything hot. So of course all of my produce and diary spoiled. I had to get rid of everything.

I fail off track with my eating. And, I did not weigh in on Satuday. I will weigh in tomorrow morning for things. I hope that I lost some weight but I am not sure. I hope that everyone is doing fine. I haven't heard from anyone this pass week.

The guy is suppose to come and fix the fridge tomorrow. I hope everything goes as planned. Well, on to the second week of the challenge.

Well, it looks like I have been abandoned and have to go this journey alone. It's been two weeks almost since anyone has posted to encourage each others. So, I will end the challenge online and continue on with my own personal challenge offline. In which, I am doing quite well. :)

If anyone comes and read this... LOL!!! If you are reading this I wish everyone well on their journey. I know it is hard to stay motivated but you all can do it. I still say Follow One Course Until Successful.

2 pounds down so far. I've been running every weekday. I'm trying to keep it anywhere between 3 and 4 miles a day.

Hopefully I get another loss this week!

I didn't know if everyone had given up already. I have had that to happen before. I know how hard it is to get started less alone stay consistent. I am fighting to keep myself on the right path. I haven't lost anything, mostly because I keep eating salty foods. But, I have continued my exercises.

I have had a hard day today, so I logged on to check the thread one last time, and.... waaaa...laahhhh.. You guys were here.... That was encouraging. I went to visit my lawyer regarding my mother's wrongful death. I cried my eyes out this evening. Then thought, I must get my weight off and continue working on my life. I didn't not follow my plan at all today or yesterday after the phone call from my lawyer. Between yesterday and today I ate 3 candy bars, JJ fried catfish with french fries, sunflower southwestern chips, sugar free low fat popsicles, 4 fried mozzeralla cheese sticks, 1 small veggie sandwich, and sugar free orange soda. Boy o Boy did I binge.

I know that I have to write out what I am trying to accomplish and stay FOCUS or I will never make it. I am glad that you guys have not thrown in the towel. You will make it and I will too, I must believe that. I just have to push past some of the pain that I am feeling in my heart so that I might gone on with life. :(

Vicky, I'm so sorry you're going through this :( That's a lot of stress... But you know what we keep getting told: about finding other ways to deal with trouble than by eating. You can get through this, without jeopardising your diet too.

My week's been ok. As usual, it started well, but I started to run out of steam by the end. Overate a lot yesterday and the day before, but my weight has pleasantly surprised me by going up only 1 lb. I'm getting back on track today, though.
