Senior needs help with my work outs.

The bad weather has moved through & it’s sunny with mid day temps at 10C.
Bella &I did 2km together, then I did another 2 km at a brisk walk.

Fantastic day sunny, light breezes & 18C. Today’s workout = raking twigs & acorn shells from the back half of our acre lot.

6 km/h is a very decent walking speed. How's Bella doing?
Bella is still doing very well (for her age) . Other than slowing down a little she still jumps at the chance to go for a walk. & she still chases the squirrels & rabbits out of our yard everyday. ( she has never caught one though).

Two more walks this morning. First with Bella, then solo.
Tried to get the pace up, but in hindsight it wasn’t going to happen. Later in morning (10:00am) full sunshine & no breezes (temp 25C)

The way to get better is train with someone who is better!(than you) I learned this a long time ago in Judo. So I asked my wife Sharon (she runs 5km at 6:30/km regularly. We went out together and she set the pace, my job:keep up. (I did) the results speak for themselves.

Not to mention company being fun! I'm trying your strat while hiking with a friend next week: morituri salutant...
We’re headed to Newfoundland next week for 14 days. Planning to hike in Gros Morne National park on east side, hopefully see ice burgs, whales & puffins on Atlantic side
No need to salute, we worked for a living.

We’re back from our 2 week trip to Newfoundland. Weather on the east coast was terrible cold, foggy and rainy so we barely saw an iceberg or puffins.
East side of the island much better. Saw a GBF Moose (great big female) running on side of highway on our way to Deer Lake
Twillingate was extremely foggy & windy, (iceberg) and Bonavista was same, we could barely see the puffins out on the rocks

Große Mourn Provincial park was incredible. It’s a 16 km Fjord card by the glacier 10k year ago. We hiked in 3km to the lake and took the tour boat into the fjord.

Getting back into our morning walks with Bella this week. This morning we took Bella north from our house for a walk around the subdivision, then dropped Bella back at the house & picked the pace as we headed out on River Rd.
