Hey Buddy! I found your diary! I read the whole thing and I do want to say (which I'm sure the dietician mentioned) that 1200 cal is way too low for someone our height. We're both over 6 feet tall and proportionately we just can't survive on the same amount of food as someone a foot shorter! I'm sure you know this already, and I was doing 1800 cal and seeing very slooooooooww progress - but some progress anyway (not working out that much though) and I went down as low as I think is safe for my height & muscle build at 1500 cal (thanks to the girls visiting my diary for suggesting it). The weight is definitely coming off fast now, but if it slows down I'd go for more exercise NOT cutting additional calories (unless I'm literally in bed all day, like when I'm sick or something). I just wanted to say that because it's important not to damage your metabolism. You need to build muscle to offset the calorie restriction too. If you don't actively work to increase muscle you'll lose muscle because it's more "expensive" for your body to maintain than fat. Muscle is the fuel of choice when you're not using it. So use those muscles girl!

Anyway sorry for the lengthy discussion, but you're my diet buddy now so you get to pick my brains if you like. Nutrition & exercise have become my very serious hobby over the past 3 years, I read extensively about it, and try little experiments on my own. I could tell you a few things that definitely DON'T work for sure! If I ever manage to fight off the "last 20" I'm writing a book! I've done everything wrong at least once and l'm just figuring it out as I go now! Have a wonderful day!

I have tried three different kinds of contacts...and I really only need them to read but I wore them all the time b/c it made me feel better...but Im getting by with just the glasses so its cool...but thanks...
This is a short entry today...I went out to eat tonight and since my birthday is sunday they sang to me and gave me fried ice cream :( but i had to eat it hehe...then tom. my co-worker are doing a carry in for me so that will be bad too and then sunday i work back to back nights so it iwll be bad too...so not a good weekend..
i start school again monday and my life is going to suck, and my husband doesnt seem to show any concern that i wont see him as much if at all...but life goes on right? yeah right...anyways..not in good spirits tonight and I think Ill just go to bed :( nite all

Sorry to hear you are feeling down. Hopefully you and hubby will get to see each other more than it seems you will right now. Happy Birthday too! I have never had fried ice cream....was it yummy? Good luck with school. Hope everything seems better soon! :)

Im still alive guys...I have just been super duper busy with this first week of school and figuring out where and when I am supposed to be somewhere. Its crazy...i have had 9 hours of sleep in the last 55 I think...so im sleepy. I just wanted to pop in and say hey to you all...im still alive and still doing pretty good just sleepy....aight im off to get some zzzzz'ss

I am not going to drop off the planet...this just wont be first in my life for a while...im still trying to keep up with the diet as much as possible and so far im doing good....its just hard to fit in the three meals every day but im working on it...well gotta go get some zzzz's for another long day tomorrow :)
 
You sound super busy! Good luck with everything! Sometimes its hard to stick with a diet when we feel like we dont have much time, but it can be done! Keep up the great work. Hope you get the chance to catch up on your sleep. :)
 
Aight guys...sorry i havent had time to be on here and encourage everyone...i am super super busy and it sucks let me tell you! I havent even seen my husband all week and I get up today and he is gone...dont know where he is and he finally comes home for about 20 mintues and is gone again...i called him to see if he was coming home and he got mad because he was at his cousin soccer game and he scored while he was on the phone with me and he missed it. so i guess i put a burden in his day or something iono. but im sorry but you woul dthink of not seeing your wife all week you would want to spend time with her...i wont see him tomorrow either...whatever...im going to get through my school and start a new life and if it is with him so be it and if not o well...life goes on.
I did managet o loose five pounds the last two weeks...i havent weighed myself since then so that was good. im trying witht his diet..its hard coming home to no food (husband wont go to the grocery either...so i gotta fit that in there sometime...he hasnt touched the dishes,laundry or house cleaning all week either!). so anyways...im off to work just thought i would dro in and let everyone know im still alive....9 weeks to go and ill be done with this crap. aight ...talk to u all later.

Hi buddy! I feel for you completely. I hope it gets better soon. Have you asked him if everything is allright? Sometimes they're just oblivious to how they're acting (and sometimes they're not). Sounds like you've got your chin up anyway, good attitude. You're doing positive things in your life, and that's what's important. Good job on the 5 pounds too! Take care this week, OK?
 
sorry i havent updated lately guys...i have been super busy and when i do have spare time i try to study instead of getting on the internet bc then ill never get anything done. im still doing good with my diet...i have had people telling me that they have started to notice that i have lost weight....and my work clothes are getting too big. also...i put on a sweater mom bought me for xmas last year and it looked awful bc ti was so big...anyways...im keeping up wtih it as much as possible. anyways..im off tom night ...my one night off a week...ill write a long entry and catch u all up on my life...talk to u lata
 
Hi Sara! Glad to hear you're doing well, I was worried! I know what you mean about not getting anything done on the internet, I'm not getting anything done right now! How much have you lost so far? You should set a little goal and go buy yourself a new top or something pretty that fits so that shopping for new clothes is a reward (instead of something fattening as the reward). Plus it's fun to show off the newer, slimmer you!

Aight guys...im still alive....this is my schedule...mon, wed, fri clinicals from 2-10, tues, thurs class 8-4, and i work sat, sun, and thurs night 6p-6a...so now you k now why i havent been on much lately. school is kicking my butt...i havent even had time to make it to the gym lately...i am going to go tonite..im about to eat din din and then go there....then come home and watch american idol and go to bed and get up early tomrorow to study. my weight loss is another story...i havent been eating bad except on easter...but im not losing much either...i know its prolly cause im stressed and not working out either.....o well....after the next two weeks ill have one class over so ill have a little more free time on tues and thurs. hopefully...im pooped...anyways...sorry i havent been updating much but ill try when i can...lata everyone

Hi Sara, I've been gone a lot too. Missed ya though. How's the weight loss progress? Have you been trying to watch your eating & possibly squeeze in a little exercise? How's the rest of life (the home part, even though it seems like you're not home much)? I hope you're doing OK, thanks for checking in my diary while I was gone. Keep your chin up, there's not much left before summer for you!
