Sadakie's Diary

Losing weight by yourself is really different from having people doing the same thing even if it's "just" online. It's different when you know someone is watching this stuff.
Brilliant! And true, too. :)
About the toast - the nut-and-seed "butter" sounds a great idea to me. I've used hummous in the past, and olive oil, to try to overcome my butter frailty, but Cate's suggestion sounds better still. I'm chalking it up as one to try out. :)

I'll just ignore this week happened and try to get back on track within the next days :leaving:

Some weeks just suck. But if you do better today than you did yesterday you´re going in the right direction.

I'm starting a new plan on Monday. Care to join me? It's easy. Devise your own plan & start Monday. June can be a really good month for us.

Well. It went into the right direction around breakfast... but then :leaving:

You think? June it is, then!:boxing:

Well. It went into the right direction around breakfast... but then :leaving:
New day, new way. I´m often tempted to have a "last supper" (and lunch, and snacks...) before planning to start an overly strict new plan and it always backfires: best make sure your June plan is realistic and start right away instead of waiting another day.

I cringe to think how many thousands of days I have had like that. Sticking to a diet has usually been easy for me, through breakfast.
I´m often tempted to have a "last supper"
And I have had thousands of those too.

In my experience the only good time to start a diet is right now.

Sadie, you are working at this, I am sure you will find a way. And as LaMa says what you did yesterday or even a few minutes ago doesn't matter. What matters is what you do today.

Hang in here with us.

I agree. "Just today I'll eat like garbage, but tomorrow, everything will be better!" :willy_nilly:
Still have to figure out my plan for tomorrow :leaving:

That's so true x.x

I'll try! Although... today is tomorrow >_> I'll really just ignore this whole week.

Weight myself today because I'm not at home tomorrow morning and the scale showed me lovely 88.8kg, so almost 196lbs. Off to a good start here... also my planner is telling me that on June 5th I wanted to have reached 70kg so... that's nice. Everything's fine. :svengo:

We´ve all been there. It´s makes you feel like crap but that doesn´t mean you ARE crap. Things are all weird and stressful right now and it´s making it harder where it was already hard. So chin up and just try again.

I know. Just a little annoyed of myself and some not-diet related choices and people atm, too *sighs

Thanks for the encouraging nice words! :beating:

Ok. I think I know what I'll try to do now.

So I peeked at your plan, Cate, and I'll try to go for at least 5000 steps a day, too.:hurray: I'm going to count my steps as soon as I recharged my band again - misplaced the charger.
Also I want to try aiming for 1500cal for june. I know that's a little low, but I feel like I... need that somehow. And if I eat more it won't be that bad... even though that's the wrong mindset right before the beginning of june but... aaaanyway, I want to jog again, too, so I'll try 2 times in week 1
and add a day per week with each week after that. Although I would be happy if I just manage to put on my workout clothes and go for a walk just for the feeling.
I mainly want to stick to water and tea for the month. But I may 'need' (I know there's no need for soda) to make 1 or 2 exceptions. :leaving:
And I like to try starting my day with a tea and some yoga or rather just drink a bottle of water (~600ml) before breakfast.
Also no eating after 8pm because everything after is normally just crap or unnecessary cooking of way too big meals.
Oh and... I want to try to get beans/tofu/sth like that every day. Also I'll try being consistent with my supplements. Just iron and b12 atm but I think I'll get a multi for june again.

31 days. I know the 'changes' may be a little too much, but... let's see if I'll make it through the first week. Hope tomorrow won't be too off. :svengo:

If you can do it that will work, you will lose weight. I don't think it is too low to be healthy, if you eat right. I have been below 1,500 calories for over a year now and it has been good for me, hope it works for you!

I don't and have not thought about how low, I just try to do right today. Do that and the days will soon add up.

Good luck with it!

I think your plan sounds perfectly doable, Sadie. Write down your plan & have a look each morning. If one day you don't achieve it just keep on going with your plan. If we stick to it, even with a slipup here & there we will lose weight in June. I might start a June thread......

I like you're plans, even if it's a lot. The jogging part may be too ambitious though: if you haven't done it in a while doing 4 times a week by week 3 sounds hard on your body. I'd say stick with at least one rest day after each jogging day for a while and maybe go for gentle walks on your rest days if you want to do more.

I'll try! :blush5:

I'll definitely listen to my body. I know that this could be a little too much but I just want to try. I mean... I'm not going to run the half marathon this year due to everything that is happening, but I'd like to get into the habit of jogging again for next year and I'm so freaking impatient because I know how long it took me to be able to jog 30min without a break. Longest I've ever - let's still call it running and not dying for a grade - ran without a break was an hour in school. x___x
But I still can adjust my plan after week 1 or 2 :hurray:

___

Sooooo... today's food wasn't that good but it wasn't totally bad either.
I have to say that I just guessed how much I had because I had no scale and.. I really can't estimate noodles.

Breakfast:
Some watermelon
Some strawberries
2 bread rolls with a roasted hazelnut spread
~730cal

Snack:
5 chocolate cookies
~120cal

Dinner:
noodles with a plain tomato sauce
~something between 600 and 800 cal

After dinner:
More watermelon
~80cal

So it's something between 1530 and 1730 calories I assume.

I wasn't preparing dinner so no protein with that for me.

I attempted some morning routine yoga but after 7min I decided to stop because my knees were missing something like a yoga mat :smilielol5:
But I drank water before breakfast, got at least 5000 steps and took my supplements!

Really have to stick to smaller portions though because I 'had' to stop eating at around 5pm :svengo:

Well done on a pretty good day. Try to be patient with your running, Sadie & "stay away from the cookies" unless you can stop at one :D

:) Or two, if they're that tiny. You're right about the protein though: not a lot of it today unless you hat a crap ton of that nut spread :p

Luckily I haven't had a crap ton of it :'D

And.. I stopped at five, that was a 'victory' somehow :leaving: I'm really bad at not-eating stuff someone bought for me x.x

___

No yoga attempts in the morning because getting up earlier than I have to is not really my forté and I had to get to work :svengo:
But I drank the water before breakfast, took my supplements and I may have reached my steps but I'm unsure. I felt like I was melting when I got outside for a walk.
Managed to have my last meal just before 8pm today but I'm hungry now so I think I'll just go to bed. :willy_nilly:

Breakfast:

one pear, a banana, 3 little peaches and some strawberries
~260cal

Lunch:

Funny thing happened. I wanted to add a block of smoked tofu to my meal but I somehow managed to eat it while I was cooking the rice... but I got my protein source!

Some rice mix with quinoa
vegetables mix with corn, green beans, carrots and peas
tomatoes
tomato paste
~730cal

Snack:

After I got back from the sunny outside world I had a popsicle
~120cal

Dinner:
Multigrain rings with vanilla soy milk and some strawberries
~390cal

Total: ~1500cal

I was so unmotivated today after grocery shopping... but I put on my workout clothes and at least jogged 3x3min with 2min breaks. Got my steps, took my supplements, drank water and tea before jogging.
But I've hit around 3500cal :leaving:
