Ryan's Journal

Thanks :) I'm still waiting on videos; the downsides to not being your own camera man. First session back today. It's worth noting that I started feeling tired on Saturday night, and haven't really stopped since then, so despite this being a workload comparable to just warming up a week or two ago, this session still felt hard.

^ There is a picture many, many pages back of some lovely, frilly, pink socks that seemed like the perfect fit for deadlifting in. No pretty pink socks with my high heels (although I've totally got my sleek black socks which could double over for a mildly gothic hipster chick on heat), but I might get some footage of my sexy shoes today, if I remember/can be bothered.

Squats video
The shoes are designed to make a competition standard squat easier, more comfortable and predictable.
Depth required for competition is parellel to the floor which was exactly what you got so they are working perfectly. You have been used to more depth but there is no requirement for it so the shoes are saving you valuable energy, nice shoes, disappointing socks.

To be explained in a language very dear to my heart SQL

Remember this one.

I do remember using an old gym buddy of mine to embarrass a work colleague who raved about wanting to meet up with a big-chested blond. When I introduced him to one he seemed reluctant, should have specified gender.

The reason I'm unimpressed with my squat depth is that it actually looks above parallel to me. People around the internets keep telling me that it's just the camera angle. I'm not convinced, but they may be right. I plan on taking more videos from other angles (in particular from side-on) to see what's really going on there.

I get coached by a big-chested blond. I'm sure he gets the same problem all the time.

Care factor was non-existent after squats, so I had some fun.
