Re-birth.

Hey there

BTW what a great thing you're doing :)

I had a question, what type of ab work ae you doing? I have sort of gotten to the stage where ab exercises don't make me 'hurt', if you know what I mean. So I can pretty much do the same exercise over and over and it has no effect on me. And it isn't momentum either. My PT gives me other exercises to do, and it seems like my body gets used to them easily

hey Eric, hows it going??? Happy Tuesday lol!!

post your nutrition man, come on haha xxxxx

I don't want to second guess your PT. But he should fix this for you and he should know how.

The body is an adaption machine. The best there is on the planet. The only way to see improvement is to fight this adaption process. What I mean is - you don't want your body to adapt too much or else you will not see your wanted level of adaptation.

Give me a list of all the different ab work you have done in the last year or as far back as you can remember and I will help you.

If you are seeing a plateau you need to switch it up. I am just starting up on my workouts but I am also studying in fitness at the moment and know what it is you are going through.

Change it up. Add small weights. Do cable crunches. Leg lifts. There are exercises you can do with a partner such as having a weighted medicine ball, taping each side of you as you twist then throwing it at your partner which has his legs interlaced with yours, then he does the same and throws it back at you. You can switch it up by doing the twist and a sit up then throwing it to him.

You can do decline sit ups. Medicine ball crunches/sit ups. Add some weight, there are limitless options for you. Supermans, planks, weighted planks, yoga, etc etc.

You could use those little weighted bracelets and put them on your wrist. When your are doing core work, cross your arms over your chest - this added weight should make the burn come.

Or use a plate...or what ever works for you.

Hope I helped!

The fast was ok. Kind of hard actually.

I must have drank 2 gallons of water.

I felt good after I did it- both physically and mentally. It showed me just how taxing the digestive system is on our body - not in a bad way, just that it requires a great deal of energy.

Going on a fast for one day is like having a day off of work.

Sure, you don't need it - but man does it ever feel awesome.

Also, I can see this as a useful tool to teach people to resist hunger urges. I can actually see this help people get over their binging.

I think I will be doing one of these once per month during my little project.

jackie, I have my calorie breakdowns and macronutrient breakdowns all ready and set - but I ran out of food, can't post a diet without food. Tomorrow, after work, I will buy food. :)

My diet will be posted shortly after.

I ate junk today btw. I know, I'm a slacker. I will do better or I will suffer your malevolence.

I've complained about my job in the past but I've grown to like it...but...

I have just found out that one of my clients has an opening and their own people spoke about hiring me as I have been serving them for the past 6-7 years and have good knowledge in the welding department and information technology as well. The are a manufacture of cement products. They are huge. They are rich.

I would potentially make 5000-10000 more per year with benefits and union as well apparently.

Should I negotiate with my current employer or just make the jump?

I think I want to make the jump.

Jackie, I'm very sorry- I will try and work on my nutrition this weekend but I need a good part of my weekend to think this through.

Substantial pay increase with benefits, more people to work around with (I am most of the time by my self.) and the fact that the company I would work for is a giant in the cement production market.

I'm a nerve wreck. Happy as **** yet worried that this could blow up in my face.

I didn't eat this morning and did not workout yesterday either. I'm not doing so good.

I need to go to the clinic tonight to get my knee look at...I banged it pretty hard and something is wrong with it - it hurts when ever I put pressure on it.

Anyhow, still working on my project - it is mostly done and I seriously can't wait to get started.

I am re-programming my sleeping patterns, I went to bed a good 3 hours earlier last night and woke up at 3:00AM fully rested - I guess I can go to sleep at 10:00PM without worries of not having enough sleep.

Good day everyone.

This morning:

2 packets oatmeal
1 banana
1 hard boiled egg
1 cup low fat milk
About a cup of water.

Took body measurements. Belly and waist circumference. Skin folds at the chest, belly and thigh.

Got up at 4AM, ate, etc...went to the gym about 30 minutes after it opened and did:

10 minute warm-up on bike

Deadlift
95#x20
95#x20
95#x16

Bench Press
45#x20
95#x15
95#x6

Lat Pulldown
60#x20
75#x16
75#x14

Alt. DB Curls.
10#x20
12#x15
15#x10

Cardio 5 minutes on cross trainer, 5 minutes on bike.

Had to cut it short - had to go to work early - skipped stretching routine and cut back on 10 minutes of cardio.

Feeling great right now.

As I got to work I rolled gas cylinders for about an hour. Rolling gas cylinders consists of holding 2 cylindrical shaped cylinders (vertically) made of steel at an angle and rolling them simultaneously to where they are stocked. These cylinders weigh about 100lbs or more each and are, on average, 4 to 5 feet tall - this burns more calories than the routine I did before it. It works all just about every muscle in the body as I use my feet to push the cylinders to give them momentum and use my grip to assist by twisting the caps. I use the shoulders and upper body to keep them balanced so that these 2000PSI containers don't fall to the ground and blow up in my face. I've been doing this once per week for the last 7 years.

:D

Hope everyone has a good day!

Aside from from full-body DOMS - I'm doing great thanks.

:yelrotflmao:

I wonder how skiing with full body DOMS will feel like...I'll let you know on Monday. :)

After much discouragement from many people and from my very own because of my ankle - I decided to go snowboarding for the first time.

This morning, I feel DOMS, once more, in my entire body. This snowboarding deal is pretty heavy.

It was Saturday, I got up at 10AM and we got there at 10:30AM ish. I rented a snowboard and started...my friend coached me a little and told me to learn to go all the way down by braking and learning to transfer my weight with a standard braking technique. First time I got off the lift, I didn't fall - but- I face planted several times while learning to break. I went down several times this way and my friend realized I was a quick learner. So I approached him and asked him: "Ok, I got it down now - how do I carve?" So he gave me a little trick where he told me to direct my leading shoulder into the desired direction I wanted to carve. Worked flawlessly. I went down the mountain about 6-7 times slowly to practice carving. I had it down, again. So now, I ask my friend what's next? Well he tells me his friend, the pro, should be getting here soon, all I had to do is keep up and I did.

I kept up...and found myself waiting for them at the bottom of the mountain most of the time by the end of the night...because they we're teaching someone who has been snowboarding for years how to carve! :sport2:

All in all, seems like snowboarding is for me - I am bruised and sore all over today though and will not expect much from myself in the gym for the next 3 days or so.

I need to sell my computer and buy me a snowboard, lol.

Is that **** ever fun or what...

My nutrition for my snowboarding day was decent and I cut back a good deal.

I snowboarded for 8 ****ing hours. This one time, my front edge caught the snow and it threw me in the air, like really - serious hang time, and I landed right on my ****ing chest and face. It was glorious yet so ****ing painful, I felt like my ribs we're going to explode and as if my guts we're about to fly out my Canadian ass.

Anyways, hope you all had a good weekend!

WOW, that sounds great!!! you will have to get us some photos of you snowboarding haha

Keep going man, your doing great!!

Jackie xxxx

lbs for now.

Just getting my tendons and muscles used to lifting again - I'll kick it up a notch in a couple weeks.

heck, I'm tryign to get my sexy back!! sounds like we are at the same spot. Well, except I haven't really started a program yet.

Yeah, I overdid myself. I totally feel like **** right now.

I didn't sleep much last night and woke up once more with full body DOMS. My appetite is similar to when I have a cold and I feel nauseous.

I have been having the hardest time sleeping lately. I think the thought of this hot young women I've met recently is keeping me up. I'm going to have to seduce her or something. :biggrinsanta:

I'll just make sure I recover before making such an attempt...cuz usually when I seduce a women stuff happens. :)
