Lovely pictures of the hike & well done on the loss! I could have sworn it wasn't as sunny as that in the UK. It's such a good feeling seeing the house for a 2nd time. I'v got my 2nd viewing booked for this Saturday (even though we offered on it about a month ago...!)

Hey DA - it was gorgeous on the Isle of Wight! I swear that place has it's own climate. Ahh good luck for your 2nd viewing, it's all so exciting!

3rd May

Breakfast: carrots (70)
Lunch: 3 crackers, light cream cheese, salted popcorn (278)
Dinner: gnocci again! with a small pretzel (984)
Snacks: 375mls of wine (261)

Total: 1593
Steps: 12,000

Mutti is taking me shopping for new clothes today as a well done treat :) Wish me luck!

Food was tragic yesterday - Mutti took me to buy a new outfit (woo!) to say well done on my weight loss and ironically we got Italian food part way through the day. Went and got the girls measured again for a new bra and have gone up a cup size and down a back size which is odd! Off to my grandparents now on the 7am coach! Seeing a friend for dinner in Birmingham tonight and then got a weekend of relaxing and dog walking ahead :D

Both sizes are linked: going down a back size while going up a cup size means your torso got leaner while your boobs stayed the same. Which is what we all want when losing weight!

Ate too much over the weekend - ate out with a friend Friday night and again with my grandparents on Saturday. Had a salad both times but one had halloumi and loads of dressing and the other came with a ton of bread. Drinking was good - had about a bottle of wine over the whole weekend. Back home and in a routine again now - need to have a few VERY good days to try and get back on track.. Lost nothing this week after my 2lb loss last week but still weighing in the same so at least I've put nothing on! Slow and steady wins the race, I guess!

Thanks guys - just feels a bit deflating to not see much new progress. I know I need some lower cal days to boost things along again.

8th May

Breakfast: 2 satsumas (82)
Lunch: chickpea stew with pearl barley (319)
Dinner: gnocci with broccoli, carrots, parmesan and shallots, a soft pretzel (1017)

Ho hum - off to work now. Going to see the lady I volunteer for through the Salvation Army again tonight - she's been moved from hospital to a horrible nursing home.. She really smelt of wee yesterday and was quite confused. I gave the staff a bit of a telling off and told them to make sure she's being asked to go to the loo. She doesn't like normal tea but no ones bothered to find that out so she had about 4 full, cold cups in front of her. I'm taking her normal herbal teas around tonight so I'll get her to drink something. Nursing homes are really sad places..

24 lbs lost is great! I know how frustrating it can be to see your weight loss rate slowing down, it kind of feels like you are losing control. However, on the one hand, it's quite natural that is slows down, but on the other hand you do have the control to change this. Stay committed to your goals and keep experimenting with new lifestyle changes that could help you achieve your weight loss goals - and preferably also with other goals at the same time - I like a kind of holistic approach to weight loss, I think that's the most sustainable way to do it.

Thanks Tri - you're right, I know. Thanks for the reassurance and the motivation!

No curry today????
Feeling ok????

Look, Mr. I am a creature of habit! The chickpea stew was really just chickpea curry but I eat SO much of it that I will alternate between calling it stew and curry. THE SHAME ;)

I think you're doing amazing!! Do you have a goal weight in mind?

Hey Kristi - thanks for stopping by my diary :) I'm 5'10 and a big boobed, big hipped girl so 175lbs puts me at the high end of normal (BMI wise..) for my height. I'd like to get down to under 170lbs to see how that looks as my thighs are still quite chunky so I'm interested to see if a few more pounds will shift that! So I guess another 5-7lbs and I'll be pretty happy!

---------

So me and Yank made a bet tonight. He's put on a bit of weight and I need to get motivated so the first to 7lbs lost has to take the other out for a date! Bit of healthy competition.. I must win! Have had a low calorie but healthy day with lots of walking - time for an early night with my handsome chap. Night!

9th May

Breakfast: 2 satsumas (82)
Lunch: 2 carrots, 3 crackers, small amount of brie (268)
Dinner: chicken burger with no bun, roasted carrots/potato (652)
Snacks: 125mls wine, low-cal crisps (183)

Total: 1185
Steps: 13,000

It's good that you're both in it together. I guess not good for Yank if he's put on a few but good for you that he'll be interested in eating healthy meals with you. :)

Thanks Em :) Quick post - went to see my friends new kitten today. How cute is he!

10th May

Breakfast: skips (72)
Lunch: chickpea stew (yes, curry Rebel ;)) with pearl barley (266)
Dinner: roasted paprika potatoes and carrots, green beans, sweetcorn and a chicken burger with no bun (672)
Snacks: bit of chocolate, 250ml wine (404)

Total: 1418
Steps: 12,000

:D You shouldn't stand a chance against Yank (what with him being a dude and just starting out), which seems like a good thing considering the "reward". Hope the little old lady gets treated a bit better now that the nurses know someone comes to visit who's unafraid to cause trouble. It's heartbreaking but it IS necessary.

Hullo all :) Thanks for posting - I love our little diet bet. Both keeping on at each other which is really helpful.

Yesterday was fine - worked all day and then went to the soup kitchen. Worked inside instead of manning the door so got to serve people and sit and have a good chat with everyone which was lovely. Got home about 21:00 so had a quick dinner and then bed! Will weigh in when I'm back home on Sunday - off to take my dad to a concert (Hawkwind!) in Weymouth tonight and staying in a hotel. Then home to my mum's with my sister and her chap for EUROVISION! I love it. So will try and keep calories down, log everything and get some good walks in!

11th May

Breakfast: grapes, toast (340)
Lunch: low-fat noodles (304)
Dinner: chorizo and beans on toast (465)
Snacks: 125ml wine, packet of skips (163)

Total: 1272
Steps: 13,500

I also love Eurovision! It never fails to make me ridiculously happy.

Never heard of Hawkwind but enjoy!
