*awkward wave* So, Sunflower is back - after 5 or so years on this bloody website, I am still here, still chunky and still drinking far too much lovely wine. I've made a new account as I couldn't remember the password to my old one - it was also depressing looking through old threads and seeing my 4 thousand odd posts as I struggled through my previous attempts at weight loss. Nice to start again and look to the future instead of looking through old threads seeking motivation!

So a bit about me now - I just turned 27 (ohhhh lord, so close to 3o I can feel it) and I just got married! We got back from our honeymoon last month and I've lost the weight I put on during that. I'm around 204lbs but I am 5'10 and curvy so I carry it off okay and am a size 14/16 in UK sizes. I am a social worker and just started year two of my second University degree that I am doing around my full-time work hours. I volunteer for the Salvation Army and I don't have a great deal of free time due to the very high stress nature of my job which means long working hours and lots of comfort eating! I have a gym membership and three free personal training sessions I can book in next month and I tend to go 2/3 times a week. I used to swim a lot but it's getting colder now so I'm back to my treadmill running at the gym. I can run a 5k pretty easily now (I can run for a chunky girl!) but lack confidence on any of the other machines so I tend to lurk on a treadmill and avoid eye contact.. I was on here about 6 years ago and I lost over 40lbs using weight watchers and calorie counting. I'm intending to go back to group when I'm back in town but am currently up North lurking at my grandparents in the hope they will feed me and care for me whilst I get over a truly wank week at work last week.

So, looking forward to making some new friends - can still see some old friends around here (looking at you, Q and Cate!) and to making some changes. I'm Hana by the way :)

Also, if any one wants to see how fucking adorable my wedding day was... (really the only reason I've come back is because I've run out of people to show these too. MAAAAAH WEDDING)

Haaaaaana! Omg... You guys are adorable!!! Congrats!!!

Also... I'm psychic. I shit you not, it was just yesterday that I thought...."I wonder where Sunflower is?!" haha!

Hello sweetpea - thanks for the lovely welcome. I show people wedding photos at any opportunity - literally spent 30 minutes on the bus on to the way to work showing a load of old men last week. Anyone who shows an interest - I'm there with these damn photos. Was lovely. And now I want a BABY. But I need to graduate and all that fun shit first. My poor sad baby making bits. So glad you're still around my chick - I will be making an effort to actually be here from now on and get down to a less whale-like-state.

SUNFLOWER!! Welcome back! How are you? It has been a while since you were on here. You look fantastic! Wedding pictures are beautiful. I had been gone for a while too. Nice to see a fellow runner too. It is nice to see you back here again!

Hello lovely Cowboy! Ahh I've missed you guys and your enthusiasm. I'm good, just getting fat and married and sitting on my ass too much watching too many episodes of Rick and Morty & spending any time outside of work drinking and watching netflix. I need to get my butt into gear!

How are you? Looks like you're kicking butt. I'm so glad I got into running, surprised myself that I could do it. Even at 200lbs it's pretty okat for me now (just cant do much over 5k without needing to die).

I am doing good. I hit goal and then gained about 30 pounds again over a year or so. I have since lost it again and feel back to my old self.
If you can run 5K then you can run further if you want? I never thought I could ever do a 5K and I have done 3- 1/2 marathons ( 21.1K) a 10 miler and multiple 10 and 5Ks. I just did a 5K Insane Inflatable run which was a lot of fun. I am looking at maybe doing a Spartan or Tough Mudder next year. Some days I think I am CRAZY!!

It really is good to have you back again!

Hey Hana, congratulations on getting married you two look amazing! Keep those pictures coming; there´s not such thing as too many pictures of happy brides.

Hana!!! Hey, gorgeous. Your photos are sensational! I have missed your wonderful humour & happy face :D :D :D
Welcome back honeybuns xoxoxoxo
I'm in a hurry this morning- off to golf Mwah!

Congratulations! Your photos are stunning, and that DRESS !!! So beautiful!!!

I'm new to this site, I was often on 3FatChicks, but not many people my age use that forum anymore.
After a huge fall off the bandwagon, I am doing a PiYo / T25 hybrid calendar, along with 21-day fix eating. I'd highly recommend it, I've lost 4 lbs in two weeks. (A healthy start)

I'd love to make this forum part of my every-day routine. Hope to hear more from you!

Cowboy: Ahh you're doing so well with the running - I'm really struggling to do over 5k - I think I'm carrying too much chunk. I used the couch 2 5k app to get to 5k so maybe I need to find one for 10k! The 5k I just did was an inflatable one! Was absolutely hilarious. View attachment 24010

LaMaria: Thank you, lovely lady! I was a very happy bride - and now a very happy wife!

Cate: Hiii wonderful woman, I've missed you :) Will pop over to your diary to see what's shakin' <3

Emily: Hello *waves* Welcome to the forum! I will find your diary and find out a bit more about your diet - sounds interesting and congrats on the first 4lbs!

Trus: Thanks sweets - feels good to be baaaack.

Brawny: Nice to see you're still here! Thanks for the lovely welcome :)

Hello my lovelies - so yesterday was a good day. Met a friend in Birmingham and went for Pizza but had a under 600 cal option and only 2 glasses of wine instead of my usual bottle ;) I will be calorie counting using my fitness pal but this week is a bit of a right off as I'm up North at my grandparents so not getting much say about food. My husband and sister are joining us tomorrow & we are going to a cottage for a weekend break for my grandparents diamond wedding anniversary...60 years is insane!
I'm going to do a healthy food shop online to be delivered the day we get back - We're at the tail end of our vegetarian month (we've done the whole of October) and both of us haven't really missed meat (apart from bacon, dear fucking christ I miss bacon) so we are gonna carry on for the most part I think - maybe veggie food 6/7 days a week or something. It's been good to try some new recipes so interested to see what other benefits come with it! I'll be calorie counting once I'm home and doing a ton of meal prep (we do this every sunday, usually whilst chanting meal prep meal prep meal prep) and dancing around the kitchen) and hitting the gym. I purposefully left my kit at work so I have no excuses about forgetting it in the morning when I go back on Tuesday. I have some PT sessions to book but I'm really anxious about having any...hopefully I'll feel better about it next week.

I'm off to see my God-daughter today for some home-made pizza fun (I'll be good, I promise!) and then going out for dinner tonight but due to the veggieism I'll likely be having salad as the pub we are going to has shit all choice for veggies.

Fatty outtt <3

Sunflower - I am also a sucker for wine (I like the super sweet kind, shame on me)

Have you tried turkey bacon? I'ts much lower in fat.
Have bacon a couple times a week, just press it with paper towels to get all the oil :)

Oh yum, homemade pizza...
Thursday is my last day of class for the week and I'm visiting my boyfriend and we are making chicken broccoli alfredo (With homemade, light alfredo sauce)
He doesn't eat as healthy as I do really, so I'm really going to have to try to not eat too much pasta. Gonna try to make half of my plate broccoli! I do love broccoli so I should be alright. haha!

Hey Emily, we don't really have much turkey bacon over here - think it's more popular in the states. I will have a hunt though when I do my food shop this week! Ohh chicken alfredo sounds lovely - how do you make the light sauce? I love pasta but I'm shit with portion sizes and always make (and eat) far too much.. same with rice! I love broccoli too, especially the tenderstem stuff. Lovely little green trees. The wine is a real issue for me - I've had a borderline issue for quite a few years but have started to get a handle on it.. Still not finding cutting down easy though! Thanks for checking in with me lovely xx

Hi Hana!

I'm also newly wed and also a social worker! You've got a year on me, though. How about that. I stopped attempting weight loss when I met my wife. I focused on maintenance and losing the same 4-5 pounds each month. It's much tougher to plan my diet and weight loss when I've gotta consider another person in the home.

Ohhh you're a social worker! That's awesome. Most other social workers I know are miserable old people who hate kids. I've lived with the Yank since I was 19 and still in school so I have no excuse with the diet.. He eats what I feed him and is good as gold. I'm the greedy, wine drinking, workoholic who does all the cooking. The shameeee. Turning 27 has ruined my life.. It was only September and I swear I've been in crisis since my birthday. 27 feels like such a dirty number. I'm looking forward to 28 (kind of..) Congrats on your wedding! I'm still getting used to being a Mrs..
Are you in child protection or adults orrr? Awesome to meet you, lovely. Thanks for posting :)

Think it's nearly bed time for me...decided to drink gin tonight to avoid my old friend wine so took a glass upstairs to have in the bath and just tripped over my feet on the stairs and I'm now wearing it. Gonna have a beautiful bruise in the morning! However I now have a (half a) gin and am listening to an old Fats Waller vinyl and feeling good about food choices today so all is not lost. Glad to be back folks x
