I told my consultant this morn I was struggling a bit with the lb up and down . She will probably talk to me later in week if I want to . I know I can do this . It’s just a struggle .

work pressure eased a bit today ! Bit of extra time awarded for a project. I might be able to get some time off for a day or so now .
 
That's great that the workload has eased a little bit. It is hard to keep going when it is non-stop.
 
Just diving in at the end of the book - so it may well be that everyone else has discussed this - but it looks like you are saying that you have hit a road-block...

If that is the case - have you counted sodium and checked your water consumption?

I glanced but couldn't see whether you listed current intake... (Probably me having a senior moment and trying to remember how to search postings)...

On my big project - I hung around for ages in the last half stone and then dropped it in a few weeks when I went back to basics.
 
Yes Em and Cate feel happier and I have more time now to do a better job. Omega I need to drink more water for sure and just really as you say get back to basics. Have my virtual class tonight and consultant is doing a reset and refocus talk. Seems like I'm not the only one struggling.

It's a new month so new start
 
Looking forward to hearing about the talk. Part of the whole thing for me is that restrictions and rules (not to mention the job situation) kept changing and so I haven´t been able to find a new normal, or a new rhythm. And when circumstances are exceptional I feel like I´m allowed to eat exceptional things/amounts. That should be over as of today though...
 
Reset and refocus is always good. In this endeavor of ours I think doing it regularly is the only way to succeed long term, and for the past year plus you have been succeeding pretty well! For me the only times I am not struggling is when I give up, maybe similar for you? I see no signs of Petal giving up!
 
Hey all. Well the reset and refocus talk really help me . I made a list of how I felt last year when I decided to start losing weight ,the relief that I had made a decision and the looking forward to being slimmer and healthier . Revisited my food diaries of when I was losing lots of weight too for ideas and started a new one for this week. I do feel in a good place . Managed some good hikes last week and have been busy and also relaxing a bit.
Had to go away Friday for a few hours which was good the first long journey out of lockdown .
 
Hi Petal. Delighted that the talk helped you find your mojo again. You've come a long way but I know it's frustrating when you want to keep going but you feel like everything is stalled. Best of luck with the new plan.
 
Hi Petal, it's nice to see that you got re-inspired by that talk. It's a great idea to review where you started from and how far you've come and what you did to get there. That has to be motivating.

That seems to me to be a particularly good idea, I may do the same. I have come to believe that maintenance is an ongoing process that requires lots of "reset and refocus ". I know that neither of us like to think we are in maintenance, and would like to loose a little more weight, but isn't that how it will always feel? Do you really ever think you will just decide that enough is enough and set a goal of no more weight loss? I suspect I will not.

That reset & refocus talk sounds good, Petal. Maybe I'll go back & read some of my diary from 2007 when I was so focussed & so determined.
 
Hi all hope the reset and refocus helps some more people.
i had a good loss this week of 2lb although stupidly checked my weight coup,e of days later and it was gone but I definitely have been good so not stressing . It wil, happen . I might weigh today and see .
I'm eating really well.
Kids had friends last night and they stayed over but I never heard a thing .
I made my sons friend some vegan burgers and apparently they were INSANE ! that was a compliment .
Work has been so busy . I have not had time off really since February. Really starting to feel it. But I do have more time as no school but seem to have filled it with other stuff . Lol . Had some garden work going on and I provide meals to the worker so it's been busy .

Exercise has been bad last week or so but for some reason just not in the zone . It's probably because the weather has been absolutely horrible .
 
Well done on the 2 pounds! Who cares what another, unoffical weigh-in says. Did you buy the burger patties or make them yourself? I´m always interested in vegan burgers.
 
If the 2 lbs are a new low they are real, we all know how much weight varies, but seeing a new low is a clear sign of loss. I know a woman who only reports her lows, and so long as they keep coming that is as good a way to report weight as any. You are doing great, congrats on the 2 lbs!
 
Well done on the 2 lbs lost, Petal. You must be a really good cook! Insane, hey? That’s a great compliment:)
