Perfecting my plan, now to implement!

Here is my fitday link for today.

Total right around 2200 calories with 44% carbs, 33% fat and 23% protein. I experimented with incorporating some different foods today. Overall a success and I wasn't hungry at all. I would have been right in line if I would have refrained from the sunflower seeds at the kiddos football practice. Live and learn. Will adjust accordingly.

Cardio: 30 minutes on stationary bike

Workout: 4 supersets of legs: leg extensions, leg presses, leg curls and calf presses

Off to do yard work now. Will post fitday link tonight.

Here is the fitday log for yesterday. My wife and I ate dinner at some friends house so it wasn't a great day but still a deficit. I also got caught away from the house at lunch and ended up eating 2 McDonalds little hamburgers but no fries or anything. My "mindset" is finally coming back a little. Progress is progress and I'll take it

Here it is:

No workout yesterday so I've already used my day off this week.

Today:

30 minutes on recumbent bike. Heart rate up to 150 range.

Workout: 4 supersets of chest/back/bi's/tri's, total of 16 sets in 20 minutes.

I'm trying to get things finished up around the house before I go back to work Monday. So, I've had to increase the intensity to shorten my workout time.

Off to tear up carpet so I can get floors put in later this week and over the weekend. Depending on location of my workout machine (outdoors/indoors) I may have to stick with cardio on road bike or mountain bike to get my workouts in along with some bodyweight exercises.

Will post fitday later this evening.

Laminate wood floors are down, YES!!!! I've got a few more baseboards to put in later tonight but all it going great.

I started my new job yesterday which is great. The even better part is they have a pretty nice gym that I used today. 30 minutes on the bike followed by 6 sets bench and 6 sets triceps. I'm going to alter my workouts to 3 days per week: 30 minutes cardio each workout day, chest/tri's one day, back/bi's one day then legs/shoulders/calves one day. This will allow me to work harder and heavier on each bodypart and make better gains.

Thoughts: It is great to be in a work environment where many are "health minded". Many are consistent trainers. I am already more motivated than I have been recently and expect to continue to progress. Will post more later, Greg

GT, I'm glad you're back with us! And I'm glad the job situation worked out for you. Things tend to work out okay.

Thanks FOCUS. I needs to love myself too (that didn't sound right). And, I'm getting back into the swing of things. I've got to take care of ME first or I have a hard time successfully taking care of those around me.

20 minutes on bike

5 on stairmaster (GOAL - 10 minutes by 8/15/08)

5 more on bike to finish up 30 minutes of cardio

3 sets seated rows, 3 sets lat pulldowns, 3 sets barbell curls w/straight bar, 2 sets concentration curls.

That wraps it up for the day. Check out the G8R/GT team journal log for my more in-depth feelings on working out, needing fitness in my life and needing to be part of the fitness crowd as part of my identity. I just kind of let it all hang out but that's how I feel and it's partly my journal so.... I WROTE IT!! Will post results of Fridays workout then. Cya, Greg

Friday: 23 minutes on bike then over to stairmaster for 7. Felt good at the end of 7 so I went 8 minutes on the stairmaster. My short term goal is 10 minutes by the 15 th of the month. Anyway, good cardio workout.

Weights, not much. It was a leg day and my legs were toast from the bike, stairmaster and taking the stairs. So, I opted to do some light shoulder work. 3 supersets of front raises, side raises and rear laterals (? name ?).

As I was walking to my car I thought Wow, I should have done some traps. So, next week I'll combine shoulders and traps and maybe legs depending.

Have a good weekend you all. Talk to you probably on Tuesday!

Not much of an intense workout today. The wife and I painted the kitchen and den. A lot of getting up and down but nothing too sever.

I'll have the dubious task of replacing the baseboards tomorrow. It's amazing the difference a new coat of paint makes.

It's not about rocking hard and fast and burning out, as Jim Morrison would say, man barely knew jack about ****! Lizard king... what does that even mean. Err, anyway, it's about rocking long. Hence, rock on, and not rock fiercely. You are doing great. Kick it! :D

I'm so excited. Sounds like a lot of work/fun, all this. But, I think I prefer my minimalist pad.

Also, pix or renovations didn't happen.

Let me get baseboards put down tomorrow and I'll post the pics tomorrow night I hope. Things are looking up all around!!!

Forgot shoes yesterday so no gym. Got 'em today so I'll have to fit in 2 bodyparts instead of 1. No biggie. It will be done!

House finished! Still gotta caulk a little but other than that I'm done.

Weight 234, down 7 pounds overall.

GOAL ATTAINED!!! Yeah, not a huge goal but I not only met it, I did my 10 minutes on the stairmaster and then 5 more, and, 2 days early. Now that's some sheat.

Goal 2 - 22 minutes on stairmaster by the end of the month.

Finished up with 6 sets chest and 5 sets tri's.

Off to the store for bread and milk. Take care, Greg

Dang, my shoulder has been giving me fits the last few days. I don't know if I slept on it wrong or what. But, it hurts!

I ran down to the gym after work. It was a chest/tri day but with the shoulder I changed it up to a back/bicep day. Good workout! For some reason my shoulder is fine with pulling exercises but it hurts when I lower the bar to my chest when doing bench.

I finished off with 30 minutes on the treadmill. I was just going to walk but felt pretty good so I mixed in some short 2-3 minute bursts of running.

I'll try chest/tri's tomorrow depending on how my shoulder feels. Either way I'll find something to do along with some more cardio. Life is good!
