Weight-Loss Oktoberfest weight loss

Weight-Loss
Weekends are tough all around. This weekend I have a birthday party (costumed) then dinner at Mom's. I know I won't get any exercise in at all on Saturday because my wife is going out of state and the gym doesn't have babysitting on weekends. :( I'll have to make up for it on Sunday.

Good job on the burger. I made some seafood and rice noodles for dinner last night. Not that bad, health wise, but not that good either. I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast, so I was starving. Instead of chowing down I went to the gym, did a quick lift, then came home and ate less then I would have otherwise. I think tonight I'm making a steak. I've been thinking about it all week. Time to start grilling. :iagree:

Hey, that's great! I don't know if I could have made it to the gym if I were so hungry. Lol, knowing me I'd eat first then talk myself out of going. *sigh* Gotta change that way of thinking.

What about doing something active with the kiddos Saturday? Something is better than nothing (or so I'm learning.) You can jump rope just about any time.

And bring me some steak. Mmmmm . . . steak . . . :drool5:

I doubt I'll get anything in. Perhaps if their soccer games get rained out, but otherwise I'm on the sidelines cheering them on.

You be one of those really crazy sports dads . . . running up and down the sidelines, waving your hands, yelling. That'll burn calories. (lmao - just had an image of you in a kilt jumping rope on the side of the soccer field.)

 That would be really bad. There are kids around and jumping around in a kilt, well, you know..

I don't run up and down the sidelines. I want the kids to listen to the coach. I feel that's an important part of learning; learning who to listen to, and I don't want to confuse them. I go there and watch and hold the water bottles and cheer for the kids. Also, when one is playing the other is with me. Gotta keep an eye on them. :D

Not much going on, but I had a little more food than usual throughout this week, and a little more exercise as well, and what do you know? 314 lbs as of this morning....hmm....I must be doing something right! *lol*

Nice! Hope that plan works for me. I haven't been too good food wise, so hopefully it won't hurt too much.

Weigh in today. I had a good day yesterday up until night time. My family made chicken wings and fries and broccoli and unfortunately I couldnt resist. As a result:

October 1 - 143.0
October 8 - 144.0
October 16 - 146.6
October 22 - (144.6) 143.4 (-3.2lbs)
October 29 - (141.4) 144.0 lbs

I know this is false though because I ate fairly late last night. After seeing this today I'm going to really push hard the next 2 days and try to make a come back and at least be at a loss coming out of the month. I haven't set a goal for Friday because it's just 2 days away.

Wednesday weigh in

Oct 1 : 199.6
Oct 8 : 201.4
Oct 15 : 202.0
Oct 22 : 197.4
Oct 29 : 198.2

I guess it's pretty stagnant for the month. Not bad, I'll take it considering what I've been eating and the exercise I've been skipping. Still under 200, so that's good.

I was thinking about my weight this last month. I mostly ate well with only a couple times off without going crazy. I got in some good exercise running, jumping and lifting. The scale says basically the same as it did a month ago and the BF% machines all say it's up. Up and down, but mostly up a % or two. Right now they are reading between 23 and 25%, not that I trust them.

The kicker is that my 32" jeans that I bought last month, well, they are no longer snug. In fact, they fit perfectly. My belt that I wear at work is the same one that I used at the beginning of this all. Well, I'm past the last holes and started punching new ones in, this month that I'm stagnant I had to add a new hole. I know things are going in the right direction, so it's one more strike against the scale and numbers thing.

On a side note, I'm not going to start a November challenge. It seems like people are losing interest. If anyone else wants to start one up, I'll be glad to join in.

I noticed that Trops. A thread is started and 50 ppl are like yayayayayayayaaaaaa!!! and that's all you ever hear from them. No sense in having a challenge if it's just going to be Angela, you and I through the whole month.

But if you do see a challenge come up and you join it then please send me the link! :)

Hey, hey, hey! The three of us are good company. Why can't we have our own weight loss challenge thread?!?! People should be breaking down our doors for admission!

Okay, back to work now . . . lol

October Loss: 5!!

Oh, well. At least I hit the goal. Next month I will be working hard for another five pounds!

I was bummed this morning about the scale not moving. By looking at this I realize that I have accomplished something this month, unlike months past where I got nowhere. I need to go update my journal and I think I may start a surgery weight loss challenge, just to keep myself motivated.

Congrats to my fellow losers this month!

I wasn't even thinking about doing an end of the month weigh in, but here it is.
