And speaking of beer... Saranac makes a Pumpkin Ale that is really good. I had some last night and was very happy.
 
My official October weigh in is 199.6. I don't have a specific weight goal this month, but if I can get around 190 I'll be doing the happy dance.
 
I'm in... been too lax lately myself! My goal is to be at 170 by month end.

My MAIN goal is to ease the exercise and healthy habits back in, for the increased energy it gives me.
 
Bring It on October I am ready

I am ready for a new month and a new challenge.
#1 Loose 10 pounds this month
#2 Walk or some cardio every day at lunch
#3 Weight train at one of the 2 gyms I belong to at least 3 times a week
#4 Watch bad carbs and potatoes
#5 To loose at least a combo of 8 inches

Today my weigh-in was 187.2. I will take my measurements tonight. I am ready and motivated for the month of October.

In about an hour my first walk of today will begin I will do 30-40 at lunch and tonight I will be hitting the gym hard. I am just trying to figure out my strategy for the gym. If I want to do 3 different workouts a week or just do circuits to get started. I will figure it out before I hit the gym tonight.
 
Ok i done some cardio yesterday and will hit the cross trainer after class this morning if i can keep on target and not get distracted by the big weights :)

I must do this if i am going to drop a weight division !
 
Off to a bad start. Had the usual birthday celebration for my kids yesterday. Cake and barbecue. Not turning down cake that the kids made for anything, but I should have had less.

Today I was jumping rope at lunch time and got 2000 jumps in and my jump rope exploded. Must have wore the poor thing out. :D Oh, well. I'll have to do something later, but probably won't be able to.
 
It's quiet here. How is everyone doing with the goals? Miss D? Tru? Maimai? Anyone?

I'm having a hard time getting to work out, but this weekend I know I'll get a good run in Saturday and a good jump rope on Sunday. Food I'll have to plan out a bit better.

I am in this month.
I do not know my true weight right now because I am trying something this week that ends today. an experiment if you will.
Suffice to say I am curremtly at my lowest weight ever but I do not think it is real.
I will post my weight and goals Monday- that should be the real deal.
 
Hmmm. Got me interested. I guess you'll tell us Monday?
It is nothing greatly special. Just a real monitored VLC diet making sure to get all the nutrients in and regular exercise.
not something I condone or want to keep up for any longer than today but I am seeing great results.

It is not entirely healthy but I felt i needed to jumpstart things here and I today is the last day of it for me.
 
I am also having a hard time finding motivation to workout. It seems that when I get motivated to really concentrate on school work I loose motivation for everything else and vise verse... Any suggestions? I'm off work today at 2 and I plan to both study and workout this evening... hopefully that goes as planned!
 
Hi everyone. I am here still. Sorry I vanished.

I have been going through a lot lately with some pretty major anxiety issues.

The upside of all this is I've been losing weight at a pretty rapid clip, although certainly not in a healthy or truly sustainable fashion. I do not recommend it.

I weighed in at 198.6 today. That is almost 27 pounds less than when i started which to me is fantastic. But I just wish I was doing it through healthy eating and exercise.

At the moment I am doing it by eating whatever the heck I want when i can choke it down. Calories are no longer my focus. Getting nutrients and water into my body and keeping it there are the bigger picture right now.

It's been rough. But I'm still here. Have to go buy some new pants this weekend because I only have one pair that still fits me that I can wear to work.

Good luck everyone. I'm sorry I decided to write a book.
