It is going fine, if someone doesn't want to participate WHO GIVES A HOOT? I don't get why everyone is being so crappy and whiney!

I equate what has happened to when I'm in class and I pick certain people to make up teams for a certain game. Then suddenly everyone picks their own teams. I think it's frustrating to Tony (can't vouch for that as I'm not Tony) to set this up and have members go along with it and then suddenly do things on their own terms.

That's my view looking from the outside in.

But I don't think Tony's getting upset since internet life doesn't impact his real life. I think the only frustrating part would be actually taking the time to type everything out.

All the journals but mine right?

And mine:)
I don't want quitters in my thread

It's not a big deal, it's just a web forum, but why say you're going to do something, let Tony put the work into making it happen, and then pull out at the last second?

I am probably one of the crappy and whiny ones.

People who sign up for something and end up quitting/deviating/changing their minds about it is irritating and a huge waste of time to those who took the time to come up with this. WHO GIVES A HOOT, you say? I do, the people who made time to sign up participants do also.

I have hard time understanding this:

It is going fine, if someone doesn't want to participate WHO GIVES A HOOT?

...if they signed up, they are participants. Don't promote indecisiveness , please.

It doesn't change my mind though - like I said - let's do this.

I'll take swiss cheese with my whine.

"Comon, it's not a big deal, let's get it over with, it's the internet, please, zomg."

A clear statement that you are not serious about this.

:yelrotflmao:

I hope we get an update on this soon, I want a partner :D

Cheers,

Eric

oh come on skian. this isn't an argument. i was just willing to share my thoughts and gave an explanation. like i said it's not to argue or put down the draft. it's just not what i was looking for. u peeps asked a question and i answered. don't ask or read if u do not want a reply.

I know this isn't an argument.

I ALSO know that this isn't what you were looking for, and that you're not putting down the draft, as well as the answer to the question someone asked you... because you've repeated it all over and over again. (usually ending each post with a comment about whine, cheese, or something) So your points been made, quit whining about it.

I don't see why this draft is so different from the original idea. And every person who has now dropped out knew what the new draft system was before they signed up so that's no excuse.

After Chillen spend about a week telling just about every newbie on the site to sign up to this only to drop out at the last second after everyone else has made a commitment and spent time on it is pretty bad form

In the spirit of "common good", a regular member that is knowledgeable of diet and fitness (no trainers allowed), could (one on one, on the board, through PM's, and E-mail, etc) work with another member (new or a regular member) in training and dieting to achieve certain goal milestones. They would be paired with a person with simular goals, etc.

This "common member pair then would square off in a competition" with the other with a realistic time frame, with periodic updates, and an end date.

What do you think?

We could set some rules of engagement, and assist in sparking the fire in each other, and work together to help one another with our goals.

It is possible the "closeness" of the one on one assistance could "work" much spirit with the goal directed person.

I agree.

Besides, if we were really moving on, and since you (you collectively referring to whoever quit and sees the need to comment) have already quit, then there is no need to return to this thread to address each person who confronts you. If you say we should move on, lead by example. Stop marring this thread with unnecessary argumentative remarks. Each time you come back to justify yourself, you prevenet anyone from moving on. I mean, you are no longer participating in the thread correct? Why come back and keep arguments going?

I do not care to have a response from people who are quitting, but still bitching about how they quit, to the above paragraph remark. If you feel the need to perpetuate the situation, that's totally your call, it affects me very little. But for the sake of people actually doing the draft, I think it'd be best if you just stopped talking about how you quit and how it isn't a big deal in this thread. If you want to do that, make a thread in the lounge.

Are all dangerous Asians so blatantly honest?

whatever helps you feel better or rationalize your quitting the draft

whatever makes you feel better thinking you know me and what is good for me. i however do not need this draft to reach my fitness goals.

i suggest you end the negativity now and continue to focus on your draft motivation cuz to be honest w/ya it's getting old now. people disagree on lots of things and we've already proven that point. lets not ruin it for the others who are committed to this.

i wish everyone else great success for those it does suit b/c i have nothing against it helping anyone out.

wow! dude! not cool Tony! kinda like when the other guy had to quit, and gave you the whole story and you said - "good, that makes the number even"

just saying, if I was coming off this un-emotional, I hope someone would tell me. I realize you are doing a tuff thing. this is definately a hard thing to organize. and you are good at keping your posts real short. BUT, have soem feeling bro! this draft is sensitive, people are making promises and stuff.

THANKS FF!! i'm glad there are others that are noticing this. this is supposed to be a thread focusing on motivation not negativity.

Then why are you still posting here? You dropped out, leave it for the people who kept their word

because i was responding to his comment towards me. just as i am responding to your question. i don't see anything wrong with that.

Just like recess. :D
