Hi!! Yes, everyone is welcome to join in! We will just post here weekly with our weight loss "report" AND post here from time to time to support your fellow Challengers :)

What do you all think about keeping a ticker in our sig's So everyone can see how well your doing during the challenge???? What I mean is, not a general weight loss ticker, but one that is just for the weight we loose during this challenge. U know??

I'm all for starting this challenge on the 1st you guys (originally the 3rd) Is the 1st ok w/ you all?????

My measurements as of Dec 26 (I know this is early, but I don't want to waste this motivation that I have.)...i'm going to post my measurements weekly--as I'm more conserned with this than I am with my weight.

hey does anyone know if we are all gonna have a weigh in day or details?? We should prolly get details before it starts :)

No rules, this is gonna be a very laid back challenge (trying to give an optional challenge for people who do not want to join the biggest looser challenge) AND so its not a big deal for some new years newbies to join last minute or even after the challenge has started.

Ok, I know theres been alot of going back and forth on the starting day, I was a bit confused...I wanted to start on the 1st, but after looking at the calander and seeing that VDAY is on a thursday, it makes scence to wait to weigh in THURS JAN 3, THEN EVERY THURSDAY after that till we get to February 14th.

I'm not going to keep track of who is posting and who isn't. It would be nice if everyone kept a ticker (similar to mine) in their siggy's, but its not required. At the end of the challenge, I will mail a postcard of congrat's to the Winner and the RunnerUp.

Thats a good idea to keep track of your measurements, but i've heard that measurements should only be done once a month???

I am planning to be part of the both challenges. So count me in. My goal is to be 158 lbs or less by VDay. This will put me back in normal weight range according to the BMI. So it is really a milestone period for me.
 
Alrighty, thanks newbride, sounds good to me =) Lets see, im at 275 now, tomorrow is my weigh in day before the challenge, so lets say me goal for VDay is...265. I think thats reasonable :) Now i need to go make my ticker all V-Dayish. :D Can't wait to start! Good luck everybody~!!

I'm still totally in on this one.. just gotta get back into the swing of things.. haha.. man i hate the holidays sometimes with all the stress and then the food issues... oh well its almost over then i'll be crazy busy starting the 22nd of jan cause thats when i start school so hopefully my running around like a man woman will help to shed some much needed pounds. lol

Yeah, I know....but..I do this instead of weighing weekly b/c I can tend to become scale obsessive. I've had weeks where I've worked really hard and the scale didn't budge...but my measurements changed quite a bit. I'm just trying to stay motivated :) Maybe I should measure/weigh by-weekly..I have 10 pounds to lose and I know i'm going to have to work really hard to get that scale to move. I'm glad this challenge was started b/c it's all about motivation and being positive....this is exactly what I need...thanks.

Harmony~go to ticerfactory.com and then click on weight loss in the ticker section, then u can choose the design and after each step u click next, its pretty self explanitory once u get there i think. but after it is done, copy the bb code and then come back to this page, go to user CP, click edit signature, and then paste the code to your signature.....

thats the best way i know to explain it, hope it makes sense, maybe someone else can explain it better :) Try it out, its not hard.

As for the challenge, i am so excited, my weigh in was today, and i am down to 272 so i might change my goal, im gonna do some thinkin cause i want it to be realistic :) hope to talk more soon~
