My Weight Diary

today was an interesting day i started off goin to a counsler im starting to see cause of depression and she is a nice woman and giving me more support about my weight loss. Im sure she laughed me seeing me walk in there in my PJs cause it was just too early to get dressed for there. Thank you again for everyone helping me stay on track you all are great ppl cant wait til i get to step on the scale to see how much i lost :)
 
Just keep at it rose and don't give up. Remember, healthy food can taste good too!
 
hey hun your doing great. after abit it wont really seem like a diet. youll just be eating a different way. oh by the way im out of red beet eggs and birch beer. Time for another shipment.ummm make that diet birch beer this time....

I'm glad to hear you are going to be talking to someone about your depression. Just remember we all have good days and bad days and the great thing is there is always another one tomorrow. Good Luck to you. I'll be checking in on you.
 
:D hey yall just wanted to give ya and update i weighed myself for the first time since changing eating habits and i am now down to 284 i am so excited to see that much progress cant wait to see how much it gets better and feeling great!! computer is down til atleast thrusday so took the time at my brothers while babysitting to let yall know i havent given up yet and i feel great!! thanks again for the encouragement!! much love yall

that's a big ole 10 pound bag of potatoes you got rid of - that's pretty heavy to lug around - don't you feel great for getting rid of it? :D

Rose, you remind me of my sister Mary--She's 5 foot even and weighs about 300 pounds...oops weighed about 300 pounds. She's taken off 92 pounds in the past year. She's taken 16.1 off her BMI and she's happier and healthier than I've seen her since the early 80s. Getting counseling was a huge key for her as was working out with a trainer, but she changed some real bad eating habbits by sheer willpower. She just got a new job yesterday. I'm extremely proud of her. You can do it too.
 
Figured Id jump in to drop a line finally got cable modem back up and running so can be on more woot! Had to have our outside line replaced which took forever to get. but now thats off my mind. I feel great weight is still coming off and energy level is thru the roof. I started a hobby about a month ago and think that also contributes to the way i feel plus having a few great supports to lean on. not to much more to report til the next time i get brave enough to weigh myself. Still fighting with myself to buy a scale for my home but think someday ill buy one maybe next week if i dont chicken out haha. But anyhow think everything is starting to look up for me and i have to say its mostly from a great friend and this forum! much love
 
hoping the counseling will help me too and thinking about joining a fitness club thats local here but dropped 11 lbs so far so hoping i just stay on the up and up and congrats to your sister cannon :)

OK today marks the second straight week on my diet wont weigh in til friday though since its only the beginning of the week. I have to admitt i strayed one or 2 times but ive cut down a lot of what i used to intake. I go to see my counsler on thrusday and hoping that goes well which i think it should. I have a bad habit of clamming up and holding things in so since this will be the first offical meeting of her trying to get deep in my head im alil nervous. I have cut out a lot of junk food and found i really like sun chips they are good but hard to find anywhere but a lil mini market. But shopping at the nutrisional section of the store isnt to bad but in my opinion they should have a bigger section. My big thing to eat is salads i love them and could live off of them if had too but i do make sure to get some red meats in there and chicken. I like Seafood too but dont eat to much of that. I have cut down on my bread and sugar intake. But was warned about drinking alot of milk for that reason. I do drink some juices and an occassional Coke I know that i wont be able to cut it totally out but i am cutting down as much as i can. I also think the start of losing weight is adding to my stress level being a single mom of 3 but think thats where the counsler will come in as well ( Im Hoping) but thats the update for now I am anxious for my next weigh in and cant wait to let yall know :) Wish me luck!!!:p
 
You sound like your hanging in there, Rose. A few words of advice from someone who has been to counseling and got a lot out of it. It only works if you open up and tell the truth about things. Jump right in. Every minute you sit there and guard yourself is a waste of time and money. Good Luck. I think your going to do great on Friday when you weigh in.
 
OK I KNOW ITS BEEN AWHILE SINCE I POSTED GOT ALIL CAUGHT UP BEING WITH FAMILY LAST WEEK. SO HAVENT BEEN ONLINE MUCH BETWEEN BEING WITH MY NEICE AND HER BABY AND BABYSITTING FOR MY BROTHER BUT FINALLY AT HOME AND ABLE TO RELAX BUT FINDING THAT IN THE LAST WEEK I HAVE HAD A MINOR (SOMEWHAT MAJOR) SETBACK AND IM ALIL FRUSTRATED. AND STARTED MY COUNSELING AND HAVING ALL SORTS OF CAR TROUBLES ITS JUST OVERWHELMING BUT ENUFF OF REASONS IM FRUSTRATED.
SOMEONE SMART INFORMED ME THAT WHEN THINGS ARE GOING GOOD AND YOU JUST LOOK AWAY JUST ONE TIME YOU WILL GAIN BACK WHAT YA LOST. SO KNOW REALIZING HES RIGHT LIKE HE IS A LOT BUT WONT ADMITT THAT TO HIS FACE BUT ANYWAY. IVE BEEN STICKING TO MY DIET FOR THE MOST PART NOW IM BACK ON TRACK AND REALIZE THAT THOSE DAMN ICE COFFEES WITH VANILLA FLAVORING CAN GET YA QUICKLY. BUT MY CHALLENGE NOW AND ITS GONNA BE HARD FOR ME BUT GONNA HAVE TO DO IT ANYHOW IF I WANNA LOSE ANY MORE WEIGHT IS TO STOP THE SUGARS AND THE COKES AND STUFF LIKE THAT. I DONT DRINK COKES A LOT BUT GUESS THE LIL THAT I DO IS ENUFF TO IMPACT MY DIET SO WISH ME LUCK IM GONNA NEED IT.
ANOTHER ISSUE IM HAVING IS WHEN I DO EAT ITS NOT A LOT ITS HARD FOR ME TO GET 3 MEALS A DAY. IM ALWAYS ON THE GO TO WHERE I DONT THINK OR WANT FOOD AND I KNOW ITS NOT HEALTHY AND I NEED TO START GETTING GOOD FOODS IN ME IN SMALLER PORTIONS AND MORE OFTEN I KNOW THATS A KEY TO LOSING WEIGHT AS WELL. WELL GONNA TRY HARDER TO GET THIS WEIGHT OFF AND MAKE SURE IM WATCHING EVERYTHING NOT JUST WHAT I THINK IS AN ISSUE.

I find that if I always keep food on me it helps. I always have fruit or a Luna bar or something in my purse or in my car. That way if I am late to have a meal I don't starve myself and then over-eat when I finally do get to sit down and eat. This has been very helpful to me. Get back on track as soon as you can and drink lots of water. They say you can lose weight by just switching to diet soda or quitting reg soda if you drink it regulary. Every small thing you do will add up.

P.S. Some of the thinest people I know skip meals all the time and they eat all day. They just eat a little at a time of healthy food, so don't stress on when you eat, focus on what you eat and how much. Welcome back!
 
ty and youre right im gonna start doing that. it will help with my kids too.
