My Story

I've heard apples are calorie negative fruit (ie: it takes more calories to chew it and swallow it then what you actually gain from it.)

I've heard that too - at one time, I'd come across a whole list of supposedly "negative calorie" foods. I wonder if that's actually true? It sounds a little too good to be true to me!

SBD, TOM is a bugger no matter what way ya call it! LOL I've found even if you're "good" you can gain for that time  Don't let it git ya, just keep on the right track.

I hear ya there - I was good, was down a pound mid week then back to my last weigh in date because of TOM. No ticker changing for me this week.

But it passes, 'tis a good thing!

And you know, I was just remembering just HOW much snacking I *used* to do during this time. The fact that there isn't any weight gain is truly amazing ;)

SBTD, I hope you had a good weekend!

hey smaller, do you always weight after you've been up for a while and worked out? You might try weighing the minute you wake up in the morning and with no clothes on. That's the weight I always go by. I can sometimes be a pound or two heavier during the day than I am at my first morning weight. Try it and see if you notice a difference.

Have a great one!!!

well this was a loooong weekend for me four days off.... and just like I knew it would weighing myself took me for a loop, I didn't exercise at all sat or sun, I only did once a day for mon and tues, plus, I probably only had mabye 16 oz of water all weekend. didn't have much to drink at all, well I did have a lot of tea which is water, but the sugar and calories well I don't want to think about it.

Going back to work makes things much easier for me. I over slept to I couldn't get in the 25 mins in the morning but I will before I go to bed, I had my yoplait light for snack and I will have my apple before i head off to the other job, Oh and I had my low fat soup for lunch.

I do feel alot better today, and Im not expecting much on my weigh in on Friday, but I just need to get it into my head that it's going to take time, all this weight is not going to magically come off,

I say it, I know it, now I just need to live it.

Stay Positive!!!! Just keep doing what your doing and keep your head up and your legs moving;) Have a GREAT Day and had you had any WATER yet??:D

smaller, it's not going to come off magically but it WILL COME OFF. You just keep up your focus. And sometimes it takes weeks or months of conditioning your body to eating healthy and exercising before you see actual results on the scale. But don't let that discourage you, because that scale will move!!!

You can do it, sweetie!!!!

yeah, I won't give up, I know it's hard now but eventually my good days will far out weigh my bad ones

I gotta say thanks to everyone who's posted in my diary and posted here for me to read, I know I'm having a rough time but you guys really are supportive and keep me motivated. I'm on my way home to get some exercise!!! 25 mins on my gazelle!!!

You may just surprise yourself this week, it is possible that you could still lose, you've had Wed and thurs to be extra good, and if you didn't do too badly over the weekend .... well you never know ;)

Read the first couple pages of my diary. I'm damn near 100 lbs. lighter based on this food group.

The group is called Catabolics. I'll stand by their affects in the diet world providing you diet smartly.

last night I did 30 mins of cardio, I'm feelin a bit better. Dinner was good a south beach diet frozen dinner, I don't remember the calories, but since I had last night off of the second job I was able to eat before 7 pm.

Then it hit an overwhelming urge, chocolate I had to have chocolate!!!!, so I ate half of half of my son's twix candy bar :(

I think it was the guilt of the twix that kept me on the gazelle those 30 mins, but I'm glad I did it all the same.

When I woke up this morning, my "friend" had arrived.

I did over sleep again so no morning exercise, I had a hand full of cheerios (no milk) for breakfast, just had my yogurt for snack, and will have another low fat soup for lunch.

I will weigh in tomorrow, even though I probably weigh more than 227, but hey by next friday I have to be down at least 3 - 5 pounds right?

Oh and last but not least, I almost have my first 32 oz of water down today:)

Hey, smaller! Thanks for the words of encouragement that you posted to my diary today! Some days I need all the help I can get! :) You're the best!

Hey, at least you only ate half of half of the candy bar! I think that's great! I don't think I could have been so good ... not with Twix anyway. :D I love 'em ... but then I haven't met a candy bar I didn't like!

Good going on the exercise. Keep it up and you will be to your goal in no time! Hope your day is going great!

Hey Smaller, you definitely burned off that small bit of chocolate bar with your exercise. And a little snack like that once in a while will do you no harm ..... better than munching through a big multipack!! ;)

Your doing great, and I know that you will get a big drop next week when your 'friend' end its visit. 3-5 lbs sounds about right (plus the couple of pounds that you would have dropped during the week aswell!!)

Half of a candy bar is a good urge. Some diets even encourage it. It's not a binge, just a snack. People who are their ideal weight do it all the time. The trick is to move on, make better choices, and don't eat the rest today.

Hey Smaller,

Sorry you are having such ups and downs. It is to be expected. Just do the best you can everyday, stay focused and you will see the weight come off.

Come on, if you can eat 1/2 of a 1/2 of a Twix, you can do anything!

It sounds like you are doing well. I wouldn't feel to guilty about the 1/2 of a 1/2 of twix that couldn't possibly a whole lot of calories. I'm sure that you burned off the twix during your 30 mins on the gazelle.

Very wise words from our dear Cannon!!!!
