My Diary

That chickpea salad looks SO GOOD!

Thank you <3
I tried baked sweet potato today and I liked it. xD

Breakfast: Banana and some mixed nuts
Lunch: Nuts + baked sweet potato + a tangerine
Dinner: Green tea + Leftover meat curry with rice

10ish mins of light cardio

How do you guys deal with cravings btw? Sometimes I crave chips and chocolates or soft drinks. x.x It has not been easy to get rid of all that this suddenly.

Eating a lot of protein helps for me. Fiber/veggies. Drinking plenty of water. Distraction. Keeping the stuff I have trouble stopping eating once I start out of sight and out of reach. Keeping my deficit small enough that my body can accept it.

I second @LaMaria , especially when it comes to the part about the caloric deficit small enough. Losing weight slowly with a small daily deficit is much more sustainable and won't make you plateau as badly.

My best tip for dealing with cravings is to eat/drink something else, like fruit or veg, and then wait for a bit to see if the craving goes away. Often this can help by itself. Sometimes the cravings are more psychological in nature - for example, if you are used to soothing yourself with some type of food or drink, getting a diet version of it, or a smaller portion of it, can be a good alternative. (As I'm writing this, I'm sipping on a non alcoholic beer! :D It gives me the same energy boost and a feeling of fullness as a regular beer, but with none of the harmful alcohol, and with way less calories.)

Thank you both! I am thinking of getting dark chocolate or dates for my sweet tooth.
And I will add lemon to my water.. I hope it helps some.
I worry I am being too strict too soon and I hope I don't fail. I really need this to work this time

When I crave something sweet I have some of my favourite fresh fruit. If I feel desperate I have 2 squares of dark chocolate :)

Today was better, I didn't crave junk food as much. I listened to you guys' advice and snacked on fruits and stuff.
Also, I do feel really proud of myself for not overeating today and not snacking on junk. Working out today was not easy though, my muscles are kinda sore so I have been trying to stretch more. Also, I went for a walk, it wasn't much but it felt good.

Breakfast: Banana and green tea
Lunch: Grapes and a handful of nuts
Dinner: Black lentils, mixed salad and 2 chicken strips. + green tea
Water: 1.2Litres

I really do wanna stop eating fried stuff though, but ill focus on that when I am completely over my other unhealthy habits. >.< I am already limiting it, but it'd be nice to stop altogether.

10ish mins of light cardio

...Tbh, I only eat chicken. Fish is expensive here so I don't buy it and I dislike the smell. ...

it's sad that many people have this view of fish. fresh seafood is odorless.

i have both lost and maintained a healthy BMI through intermittent fasting.

Awesome on the healthier snacks! If you're too sore to exercise a break is absolutely not a luxury; rest is just as important as exercise. A walk is a great alternative, so well done there as well.

Well done :)

Water: 1.2Litres

No workout today T_T but I did go for a walk. 4kish steps

Seconding @LaMaria here. If you feel yourself getting very hungry towards the evening, try to eat something rich in protein. I don't know your portion sizes here of course, but is sounds like very little and adding in proteins would help you feeling more satiated.

Even if it's something simple like something yogurt-based and chickpeas, eating more today might help you avoid feeling starved and bingeing later.

:iagree: with LaMa & Floater. I have protein with every meal. This morning it was Greek-style yoghurt with berries, almond meal(more protein) & a sprinkle of a light cereal mix. Well done on the walk, Missie :)

Thank you guys! I'll try to add more protein in my diet, the pasta was with boneless chicken and broccoli, both chopped into tiny pieces.
I can add yogurt in my meals but idk what else to do for protein xD
I don't eat chickpeas or lentils everyday

Breakfast: Green tea + Banana
Lunch: 1 cup White sauce pasta +green tea
Snack: cucumber and carrot sticks
Dinner: 1 piece BBQ chicken with garlic mayo and a handful of french fries + green tea
Water: 1.2Litres

10 mins of light cardio and got 3.3k steps
I've been trying really hard to control the portion sizes, so I don't over eat. I am getting at least 1k calories daily though, I never go under 1k
