Weights are as of first testing

I can see why the program was designed this way. Using the FT is supposed to help build up balance - a skill I'm sorely lacking in. And it works the muscles in a different way from free weights. It's also nice because there's something new every set, so I don't have to go through knocking out a second set of the same exercise.

On a side note, I felt good after today's workout - I can really tell the difference mentally and physically before and after any of my sessions. Will see how the cardio goes tonight.

Session II

Glad u liked it:)

Couldn't take it any longer, I had to make them. They turned out delicious. OMG, I think they are better than the ones you buy at the store. They taste like the ones you get at the Mexican Restaurant. I didn't put any spices on them. I'm going to use them w/dips. 10 minutes seem to be a good time to cook them. They come out crispy.

Make this hummus to go with it... The recipe is from the Barefoot Contessa cookbook. Have made it many times with great result.

2 cups canned chick-peas, drained, liquid reserved
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/3 cup tahini (sesame paste)
6 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
2 tablespoons water
8 dashes Tabasco sauce

Place all the ingredients in the bowl of a food processor fitted with a steel blade.
Process until the hummus is coarsely puréed.
Taste for seasoning and serve chilled or at room temperature. Yields 2 cups.

P.S., I think someone's on their way to getting a recipezaar membership :)

All I can say is wow! I just read your diary start to end and you have really made tremendous progress. Definately inspiring to read, thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate them. A timely reminder to look back at where I was compared to where I am now, rather than being fixated on where I am now, and where I want to be.

I've never had hummus, so when I make it or buy it from the store, it'll be the first time I've ever had it. What does it taste like? Does it have a certain taste?

Umm well, it tastes like... hummus :) If you like chick peas, imagine them flavored with garlic (lots of garlic lol), sesame paste, lemon juice and some kosher salt.

Ok, so hummus really doesn't have a certain taste. Either you like it or you don't, right?

P.S., I think someone's on their way to getting a recipezaar membership

Stingo you're doing awesome! I hadn't read your diary for some time. You have made tremendous progress. I was reading your post about the not feeling like working out. I find that on those days I also have my best workouts. Thats funny. Keep up the fantastic work!

Hummus is nasty. BLAH!

*gasp* what? an unbeliever!!! lol I've always liked it myself. But then again I had it made from the recipe shown (a person at work brought it in for a party one time - have been making it myself ever since).

Thank you sparrow - coming from someone who trains as hard as you do that's quite the compliment.

Got that thanks sheri:)
