Mrs Bear's Diary

Hey there Mrs B - good job making good food choices on a munchy day! I find that to be the hardest, when I'm really in a snacky mood. Granted, it's much better on days after I've gone grocery shopping - then after a week of a a food depleted house ;)

Oooo no, that's my worst time. Even if I avoid sugar, I tend to pick up something extra at the supermarket, like the fruit crisps, and end up wanting to snack all day. I think it is to do with seeing all the different foods while shopping .... makes me want it all!!

Oh that's so funny! I'm the complete opposite - when I come in from the store, there are so many good, healthy choices to choose from that I have no problems! It's when all that good stuff is gone by the end of the week that I'm struggling with scrounging for what's left. I really should shop 2x's a week. That might solve the problem!

Hey, Mrs. Bear. Hope you are having a great day. I have heard sugar affects a lot of people that way. Luckily I am not one of them. The other day when I had that fudge I got sort of a high off of it for a bit, but I didn't want anymore sweets after that. You might be best to stay away if it makes you feel like crap. Just checking. Be well.

Hey Mrs Bear how are you doing today? I've been attemping the same as you with regards to giving up salty crisps (they were my utter downfall). I think I've been having the equiv of 1 low fat packet a month and thankfully that's been ok.

Eirinn and Harris the slow worms have mites so it's going to be great fun trying to get rid of them.

Hey there Mrs Bear, just stopping by to say hello...haven't checked up on you in awhile! I miss you all in the FSD! Hope that the rest of your day is well!

Thanks for dropping by everyone, and I'm sorry to hear that Eirinn and Harris aren't well Crunchie :( I hope they get better soon ;)

I am having a good day today (despite my calorie counting website going down :( I had to use a pen and paper like in the dark ages!!! ). I have not craved sugar at all, unlike yesterday when I had to have fruit crisps because I wanted sweet stuff. I have done another 22 miles on my bike today (yay!! :D). It was really tough because it was incredibly windy, but luckily when I travelled away from my house it was with the wind, and against the wind on the way home, so when I got back to the junction, it was actually easier to turn around and go further away from my house again, then turn back and struggle again :p (that's my face when I got back :D )

Foodwise, I have had porridge for breaky, my lunch was my absolute favourite which is rice cakes with x light cream cheese and microwaved salmon fillet .... it is really rich and filling and tastes soooooo naughty but it is so good for me ;). I had some wafer thin ham and a babybel cheese as snacks and then veggie and bean stirfry with rice for dinner. I think I will be around 1800 today, but I will not know exactly until I get back on Weightloss Resources.

Thanks for dropping by guys :) Toodles peeps

22 miles!!??
That is phenomenal!!
Your salmon & cream cheese sounds really yummy! I'm definitely going to have to give that a try :D

20 miles was taking me 1hr 40mins, so probably 1hr 50mins for 22 miles ..... but yesterday was so windy that I practically stopped at some points, so it took me well over 2 hours. My legs were aching yesterday evening, but thats good because it was getting to the point where it wasn't working me hard enough ;)

wow your doing awsome and rock you go with your bad self girlfriend!!!!!!!!

Mrs. Bear that is quite the distance you travel on the bike. I know about the against the wind thing and I bet you burned more calories when you were against the wind! Knowing you can bike that far certainly means that I can get off me duff and take a walk today.

Oh Mrs. Bear I have a non weight related question for you. I know that the Brittish Dollar is called the pound like the dollar here in Canada and I was wondering what quid meant. Is quid a slang term for the pound like buck is a slang term for the dollar. My husaband and I were talking about this the other day and I just thougt since you are a Brit that perhaps you would be the one to ask. :D

Thanks Tina ..... I am baaaaadd!! ;)

Hey Jenn. Yep ..... a quid is slang for a pound. I have a joke to do with that actually, but you have to read it outloud to get the full effect ....

Two whales were at the bottom of the ocean, one turned to the other and said 'oh, before I forget, here's that sick squid I owe you ...'

:D :p Sorry ..... cheesy I know ;)

Thanks guys ;)

Crunchie, I do generally about 13 miles per hour. When it isn't too windy, I really do try to go flat out, I stay in a high gear for the little inclines (my bike is difficult to get into top gear, so when I get there I am reluctant to change down) plus I always peddle as hard as I can down hill (cheating I know ;) ). Once I got in the swing of cycling I realised that it wasn't working me as hard anymore, so I had to pick up pace. Mind you I still get overtaken by men in their little lycra numbers!! :D

20 miles in 1hr, 40 minutes?! Geez Mrs. Bear you're like an American Cyclist, but without the performance enhancing drugs.

Good Morning M2M!!

Hey Cannon ..... nope ... the only drug I'm on is adrenaline (LOL :D )

Couldn't be bothered to go out on my bike today (it takes too long) so I did some aerobics at home instead. Because I work out at a high intensity more consistently, I can get a good workout in half the time ;)

Food has been good .... 1955 calories, under 2000 is fine by me.

Hope everyone else is doing great. Toodles peeps
