Mrs Bear's Diary

Well I guess you could always contract your ab muscles the whole time you're riding your bike. Ha- right. Like I could do that.

I was just typing my post and my internet provider decided to update .... and I lost it all :p Lets see if I can remember what I wrote

Val, LOL!! I think I would probably snap something :D

Another 20 miles today ... yay!!! I had achy shoulders and calves after my aerobics yesterday, but I am feeling very determined at the moment, like if there is one thing that I am going to do right, it is going to be the exercise. I just hope that I don't burn out before my body gets used to the 6 days a week working out

1800 calories today, which I am really pleased with. I am having a bit of trouble eating fruit and salad at the moment. I find it too acidic, and this afternoon I spent in agony with a terrible burning pain in my stomach. I have had antacids and pepto bismol and it still isn't 100%!! I think the next couple of days I will have to eat porridge, potato, rice, cheese ..... lots of plain, non-acidic stuff. I just worry that it will be harder to stick to my calories without filling my plate with fruit and veg, plus I do find that I feel less energetic without all the vitamins.

Oh, and I got my TOTM today :p Not pregnant again, and I am going to have to bite the bullet now and do what I said I was going to do if I wasn't this month ..... Hubby and I are going to have to get checked out ..... Eeek!!

Ah, well, a good day despite feeling lousy for most of it

Toodles peeps

Oh I didn't reallize you were trying to get pregers. It probably is a good idea to get that checked out. Here's hoping you do gain some weight--the good kind with a baby attached.

Thanks Cannon ;)

I did have a lie in today as it was my day off (no overtime this week ... yay!!), so I was weighing later which I know can affect it. I was 12st 1lb!!! That is another 2lbs off. I was surprised because I have been a bit hit and miss this week, but I have been exercising like crazy. If it is a bit of an over estimate of what I have lost because of weighing later, I will just have to remember to take this into account next week. I am really pleased though, especially as I am still mid TOTM!!

I'm having my brekky at the moment ... porridge as usual. I have the same thing every day, and I still really enjoy it .... a creature of habit I suppose.

Hubby and I are going to try to deliver all of our phone books today, to get them all out of the way. I'm sick of having them stacked up in our utility room!!

Laters peeps

No, neither of us were posties when we met. After a few years working in offices I realised it wasn't for me, and became a postie. Then a year later, the stress of owning a non-thriving photo developing shop got too much for hubby, and I suggested he got rid of it and became a postie. We haven't looked back since and hubby is like a new man now he's got no stress in his job ;) And we are actually putting money aside, instead of just watching debt mount.

All 500 phone books done ...... it was easier than I thought because they went through most letterboxes. Now I am having rice cakes with light cream cheese and turkey ham .... mmmmmm .....

I wonder how much postal workers get paid here in the states... I'm pretty sick of my office job and I would sure like the exercise - lol :)

If its anything like the UK then its pretty good. I earn more doing this than I did as a clerk in an office. Of course lots of office jobs do pay more, but I find this job flexible, I never, ever work my full hours (its job and finish), there is often a lot of overtime up for grabs plus you are done by 12-1pm so if you wanted to do another part-time job you could. And like you say, its all exercise and people pay good money to go to the gym while I am being paid to go for a walk ;) Of course there is bad weather, dogs, early mornings, etc but I feel the pros out weigh the cons.

A postal carrier does sound like such a wonderful job. Get out in the fresh air and the sun. Well I guess you would have to deliver in all kinds of weather but having to walk everyday is certainly a great way to spend every day!

Val: might be worth looking into!

PS - I was working in an office when a woman mentioned the fact that before she had her kids she had been a postie and really enjoyed it .... if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't even have thought of doing it, and now it has made such a difference to my life, I am really grateful to her :)

wow, your current weight is my goal weight...I'm so happy for you and jealous of you at the same time!!!!

500 phone books!!!! That's alot of footsteps. And I see you've biked 220 now....you're flying girl!!!

Have a superb weekend!!!

Thanks for the encouragement Scarlett :)

I have had 1700 cals today, which I am pleased with. It was my day off today, so I am not as active as normal, on my feet at the office all day, but the phone books were like my usual delivery. No additional exercise today. I was going to do aerobics today, bike ride tomorrow and rest on Sunday, but I decided to rest today, bike ride tomorrow and aerobics on Sunday, as my arms were still achy today.

I really wanted something cool and sweet so I had a fruit smoothie, hoping I wouldn't have the same acidic result. It wasn't as bad as yesterday, but I still reacted. It annoys me because I can't have naughty food, but I can't have a lot of the healthy foods either :p REALLY frustrating!!!

Hey, Mrs Bear! Just popping in to wish you a terrific weekend! You are doing so great! You really rock with all that exercise you get! Keep up the awesome work!

Hey, Mrs Bear. Glad to hear your doing well, if not a bit grizzly over the bad food that is tempting you right now. I get a little crabby too when I want to snack and I can't because I really don't want to. Funny how we fight with ourselves isn't it?

You are way up on your miles I see. I expect to see you riding by my house some day. Have a wonderful weekend.

Postie! Awww you Brits have such a way of making words your own. Postie, mosies. I love it! Have a great weekend!

Hey There Mrs B!
You are doing amazing! I couldn't imagine walking the postal route and even contemplating anything else ;)

As for the term postie - well, I keep reading that pRostie, and that just conjures up another profession in my mind LOL! I have to keep telling myself, "no, it's POSTie, she's excercising on her FEET"

No one ever said I was quick ;)

And look at the miles you're racking up! Good Job :D

Hey Mrs Bear sorry I've not had time to post in diaries much this week. My uncle works for the post office and he has a good time too I think (ironic as I think he hated walking as a kid heh). Him and his boyfriend (yes I did say boyfriend) can afford to go to new York for Xmas shopping every November (though I think his boyfriend has a great job too), they always get me the most fantastic presents. :D They moved house recently and did all their own decorating and stuff and their house is really beautiful, maybe I should consider a job as a postie too.

My little cousin was here last week wanting to see all the animals (she's 5 but she loves the crawly things). Her mum and dad are terrified of snakes and spiders so it's up to me to hammer it home that reptiles and inverts aren't scary. In saying this Eirinn did bite me quite hard today, it's the first time she's ever drawn blood. I suppose that's what happens when you wave a wax worm in front of a hungry slow worm... she got the worm but she got my finger too.

You're doing really great with your weight loss so far and especially your cycling! The hot weather we've had recently must have made it a bit hard though?
