Thank you :D what's your strategy to loose weight? are you on a specific diet/exercise program or are you just trying to eat less?
 
am here to lose the final 10lbs it is eluding me! where do I go for motivation? Once you're slimmish people start saying "oh you are so slim you don't need to lose weight, well I don't need to but I do want to get to healthy goal weight. I am 5ft 3ins and weigh 91/2 stone would like to weigh in at 8st 10lbs- i look better that way! I enjoy it that way, so any ideas? I'm sure just writing on here helps XX:seeya:

And to answer your question -- no, nothing specific, but I am following the old adage of "breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper" -- ie start the day with a good, filling, nourishing meal, and eat very lightly at night. I also don't eat late at night, hardly ever after seven, and go for a good walk every day (at least a mile). But I'm not an expert here -- I recommend reading some of the "Weight Loss Diary" section to get a good idea of the systems thta are working for people.

About the post, it's fine! :) I havent officially started my diet i am waiting for July to officially strt but ive been making healthier choices. I should just eat more vegetables and fruits but one day per week im allowed to eat anything i want. I am one of those who have started dieting since im 12 y-o :( and everytime there's a big change in my life: going to college, finding a job, changing jobs I start eating crazy amounts of food to "forget" it's like I try to numb my brain. The fuller my stomach is the less i think about my problems so i shift my attention from the issue to my tummy which usually would hurt by that time. BUT the good news is that I have realized that I have this issue and I have started working on it that plus i love food lol :p
How about you? What do you think your problem wih food is? Good luck for the rest of June only 2 days left :) You've already beaten 28 days so the rest will be a piece of cake :D
 
I just joined the challenge, wish I had earlier :( ,But I am looking forward to the July challenge. Overall I have lost 1.2 kilos this month, just by eating right.

I found the June Challenge a real... errr... challenge! But it did help to keep me on-track through the month, and though I didn't quite make my goal, I'm very pleased with the progress I did make.


2 June - 91.7kg

9 June - 90.8 kg

16 June - 90.3 kg

23 June - 90.0 kg

30 June - 88.9 kg!!!!

Well I didn't reach my goal for the last week of getting to 260, but there is always next month. I can't wait for the July Challenge, this helped me keep on track for the most part and I lost 17 pounds. If I can lose 20 more lbs in july I'll be close to my summer goal. So who's making next monthes challenge?
 
Sorry for not checking in recently.. Been mega hectic! Only a few more days before I jet off!

Personally, I didn't do so well with June, haha! I still lost - but 58.4 to 57.9kg isn't exactly great for an entire month, lol. But a loss is a loss, and I'm pretty much at the weight I want to be.. just maintenance for me now!


Everyone else - great job, glad to see everyone lost weight! Special shoutout to Noparsnips for both their sucess and lovely support of others! I'll go make the July challenge now!

I have great news! I am now down to 133.5 lbs! so just half a pound to go. I hope you managed to keep your weight loss up too!
 
Whoops! I was aiming this reply at kreatchit but it has not posted under his/her comment. Anyway I hope you have kept up the 2 lbs a week loss like you were doing. When I get down to my target I will need to focus on keeping healthy. I may get down to 127 since I seem to be doing well though! but I am so happy with my results. Slow and steady was what I was aiming for so I just cut down a bit to stop me feeling the need for a binge! and it worked mostly although I had one binge but it was only some crisps so nothing terrible :) and that was last week.
