Cause that makes sense.
What are you talking about? Black men sleeping with white women? Man, are you stoned?
Alcohol and tobacco are very deadly, and very addicting; pot isn't. That doesn't make sense to you?
Oh and to I_L_M the reason why I said it wasnt all about having self respect was because sometimes addicts have plenty of self respect but dont have the will power to get out of a viscous (sp) cycle. Addicts often start drugs as a release from life in a pressure cooker.
Yeah ok, pot maybe not be as addicting as LSD or Ecstasy maybe but it still is
Why would you even want to do this? I don't understand the mindset of people who willingly put toxins into their bodies. It's extremely counterproductive. I believe that if a person actually had any degree of self-respect, they wouldn't feel any need to "self-medicate".
you're assuming the marijuana IS a toxin. drugs do not equate to 'toxin'.
otherwise by your logic, someone who's bi-polar or depressed shouldn't introduce paxil, prozac, lithium, etc into their body because its a 'toxin'.
A better example is comparing ritalin and marijuana. I have a friend with ADD and anxiety problems. he can't afford insurance so he can't afford his meds.
but if he blows a blunt he gets the same end result. it doesn't make him lethargic like a 'normal pothead'...rather it makes him able to slow down and focus on 1 task without being easily distracted by any little thing.
weed grows naturally...ritalin is a heavily processed prescription drug. I think weed is less of a 'toxin' than ritalin...cheaper too.
I used to take St. John's Wort for mild depression, rather than prozac or something 'harsher'.
Don't let the 'morality' of the 'war on drugs' fool you into thinking marijuana is just as bad as crack, heroin, etc. Its not black and white.
I've just recently started smoking marijuana again, and I'm wondering if it'll hurt my exercise progress. I mean the actual smoking part, not the additional food consumption.
I know smoking and working out seems pretty counter productive, but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. So far it's not hurt my motivation any, which was my biggest concern. I'm still working out every day.
:cool2: <-- couldn't resist. XD
I would think it would take away from your workout routine. I can't imagine working out after smoking a doobie. I'd be to tired.
And if it is true that it takes away from your lung capacity, then it will (in some manner) have a negative effect on performance.
I just don't think the two mix.....
Oh, and for the record, I don't smoke.......anymore
tats and bikes just screams hawtness.
