Well I am trying to accumulate all the ingredients for the CSIRO diet.I have brought a heap of the ingredients for the cupboard/fridge(condiments).I have to wait till next week to get all the meat/fruit/veg.Once all the basics are brought,it will only be the fresh stuff every week.Luckily my husband has a lot of friends in the meat industry,we can get our meat pretty cheap most of the time.
Its not a diet at all,just eating a wide variety of foods in moderation.By weighing how much you eat at each meal you can get an idea what your portions should be!
I like that its going to get me to eat more fish.I like fish,but usually only eat it occasionally.I also only ever cook it in foil with lemon pepper and lemon juice!
A few good recipes on cooking fish in other ways will be good.I would love to start it now,but too many bills to go out and buy it all in one pay!
I havent had time to exercise,my excuse,had kids everywhere for the holidays!The other day I had my 2 little ones(2/4)my two step kids(13/16)and my niece(10)and her two brothers,my nephews(6/8).
AAAAHHHH had to go shopping,was I getting some looks,they probly thought they were all mine!!!
It was a bit kaotic,brought an 8ltr tub of icecream for the kids.By the afternoon over half of it was gone,in one day!
Oh well school holidays will be over soon,peace will be restored!:rolleyes: ;)

Yeah I did,it was hard because it didnt have Australia as a country of choice.So I had to make up some details to register!But YES I have registered!:)
 
Herb and chilli fish

1 tbs chopped chives
2 tbs chopped parsley
Pinch of red chilli flakes
½ clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp olive oil
1 x 200g white fish cutlet or fillet

Combine the herbs, chilli, garlic and oil. Pat mixture on top of fish and place on a tray lined with baking paper. Bake at 200c for 12 min or until cooked.
I have had this on the bbq as well and everyone loved it.


Brown butter pan-fried fish

1x200g white fish fillet, cut into 3 pieces
2 tsp low fat marg
2tsp chopped parsley
1 tsp capers

Heat non-stick fry pan. Coat fish pieces lightly with cooking spray and add to pan. Cook for 2 min each side or until cooked. Remove pan from heat, place fish on a plate and keep warm.

Wipe pan out with kitchen towel, reheat and add marg to pan. Cook until it turns a golden brown, remove from heat. Add parsley and capers and drizzle over the fish. Serve with vegetables and white wine this one = 6 ½ points with the wine.


Fish with lime and chilli sauce

200g white fish cutlet
1 tbs chilli sauce
¼ tbs grated lime zest

Place fish on a sheet of foil and smear with chilli sauce and lime zest. Loosely wrap with the foil making sure the edges are well sealed. Place on a tray and bake at 200c for 15 min or until cooked.
 
Thanks Rhonda,they sound great!I will try them when I go to the fish market and buy some.I will get a wide variety of fish to eat,cant wait!I will post in here later,got to get to the shops before they close!:)

So many kids around here lately!My 2 step kids are going home on sunday night.Whew,me and my washing machine will be breathing a sigh of relief!
I am so kidded out!Its been a lot of hard work!
My little ones are totally running a muk and have no bed time or routine in their day at all!They have been going to bed at 10pm,and getting up at 8 or 9am in the morning!It always happens when their older brother/sister stay for the holidays.
I have been staying up til 1 or 2 in the morning to read/go online in here/to have time to myself!
I have been a taxi driver,clothes washer/folder putawayer,cook,referee over the computer/foxtel(cable TV),cleaner!
So when they go home,its back to just my 2 little ones!I am going to go for long walks with the jogger pram and let my son ride his bike!
I am going to try and gather all the ingredients for the CSIRO diet,but that wont be likely to happen til his new job kicks in properly.Its another truck driving job,just down the road from his old job.
They were not paying overtime/holiday money and he was not getting along with one of the bosses!
Oh well thats life I guess,BYE!:D
 
Well, if they're not paying him the way they should that's definitely a reason to leave!!! Glad you're finally getting some peace and quiet. I don't think I could stand it. When my older girls were here I always had at least 6 or 7 teenagers around. Now, I find myself irritated when Demitresse is just on the phone! She doesn't have people over because she knows how cranky John gets. He even gets mad because the phone rings. Oh well, she keeps talking about how unfair it is. I tell her just wait. When you get older it gets even MORE unfair!!!
 
Hi Magenta, I got my package today. Thank you soooo much! It's great. There are actually alot of songs on that one that I hadn't heard before. I can't wait for my mom to see it. I was planning to copy it before giving it to my mom but the case says it's programmed with some kind of copy protect? Do you know anything about what that is?
 
Woh I didnt see that,I didnt have time to copy it before I sent it off!!
I will ask my brother (computer expert) how to get around that!Im glad it got there un-broken!

Well I almost have all the stuff to start the CSIRO diet!I was babysitting at my brothers house and his wife has a fat percentage scales.Well I bit the bullet and jumped on!!!!!!
I have put on soooo much weight over this holidays!I weighed 117.6KG/259lbs!!!!!!
I nearly died,I am so ashamed that I have got this heavy.This is the heaviest I have ever been accept when I was pregnant!!!!

Its time to get my butt into gear and start exercising again!I will never eat chocolate again!!!(SURE)Well as much,cut it back to once a week!Girls I need a good kick in the proverbial with motivation!HHHEEELLLPPP!!!!!!!

Hey mate just dropped in to see how you were doing, that’s bad news about ya hubbies job. Can you believe these things always happen around Christmas time, maybe it’s a chance for him to get a new start himself this year. You don’t need to start any diet to get yourself off to a good start hun I bet you have most of what you need in the pantry. Just cut off the fat on any of your meat before you cook it, eat plenty of fruit veg and salad and dink more water then you eva thought you possibly could lol. A little bit of exercise with that and your well on your way. Don’t need no book mate you will do good.
 
Thanks girls,I have been coasting along a lot and not getting serious!I will really get my ass into gear this year!I lots a heap on the diet pills,but I know that I have to do this all myself!!!!!
I like exercising,but been slack lately!Its the chocolate I have to stay away from,and take away.I really like Fruit/Veg,I dont have a food type that I dont like.I just eat too much of everything!
I really think the CSIRO diet will teach me portion control!

Im sure the book will be a great help mate, portion control was one of my things I had to learn as well.
