Cohen's Lifestyle Luvbug's Journey

Prefix for Cohen's Lifestyle
:waving: Hey hey girly!
OH Im feeling like giving you a little hug:grouphug:!

Sorry that you are feeling a bit down! Girly, there is no way that Cohen's isnt working for you! I cant believe how strong you are- not weighting AT ALL!

And if you were wondering whether you have determination to stick to something- that alone- must show you that you can and you doing it! For sticking to Cohen's 100% for the past 3 weeks needs a reward on its own!

ITS WORKING I PROMISE YOU! Believe it also in your mind! I know it sound crazy but just keep going! Remember that small things make up a whole and every day is a small piece to the end! YOU'LL GET THERE! THATS FOR SURE!

Seeing that you dont weight--(and dont start) maybe look for a pair of pants in your cubboard that you havnt worn for a while, and see how that fits now? (i have loads of those) Its like rediscovering your stuff!

I also have my fat days-- still get them and I also look for some reasurance every now and then! Thats what our support system is there for!

You over the bulk of the first 4 weeks and in 2 days we can celebrate the fourth week! AND ALSO YOUR WEIGHT-IN!

Stay strong Luvbug! I know you can!

Huggs again and again!
Starfish1 :)

Hi Starfishy

Awwww, thank you girl! I really needed that hug and support :):grouphug:
You are a little angel!

I know it must sounds stupid, but I'm fine again now :D
I'll go and fish out those pants tonight hehehe ;)

I can't believe how time flies! In 2 days we start week 4 -- it's crazy.
I'm only gonna weight after 4 weeks (start of week 5) to see the "real" results. So I'll just stick it through. hehe
But it's sooo close, I can almost taste sweet victory.. lol!

Damn, I'm sooo cold today. I'm thinking of treating myself after the weigh-in with a nice coat at Woolies :D
And maybe I should get size 8 jeans? To measure my weightloss with that! So that I can see how it fits better each week.. Sounds like a plan! Whoop whoop!

What are you up to Starfish? :p

Ya those coats at Woolies are also one of my 'goals'!! They are soooooo nice!

Was just out for lunch : My boss is getting married on the weekend and we took him out for a last single lunch! (I only had tea) But hell its cold outside! :(

I dont mind if they think that Im being weird by not eating-- I know what Im up to and couldn't be happier! Plane tea is actually not that bad and Im getting the hang of it! Im looking forward to gym tonight!

You right, time did fly and I cant believe that we've been on the program for so 3 weeks! Whats does your measuring tape say-- do you do your measures every week?

My weight-in is on the 5th May! YAY! Its a little over the 4 week mark!

The day that I fit into a size 8 is the day that I do a cartwheel naked in the middle if the street! LOL! nNaaah only joking but I will have to do something extreme if i ever do fit in a 8! lol! For now I keep my sights set in a 10 first!

Im also voting for the first time tomorrow-- not that I have any idea what to do with my vote!
Going to go visit my parents on the long weekend! Looking forward to that-- but wil have to stay clear of mother dearest cooking! She always cooks up a storm!

Hope you having a nice chill day! Not to much varsity!

Keep up the good work girly! Its going to pay off BIG TIME!

MWAH!

I Knoww!! So hot ;P

Shame girl, but I totally agree with you -- I don't care what people think -- I'm doing this for myself and the results will speak for itself!

I'm also getting the hang of the tea thing now, it's actually quite nice. My bf only drink black tea and I always thought "yuck", and now's he's like "told you so!" lol
Speaking of tea..I bought myself the nicest tea! It's Twinings Indian Chai Tea. It's has only natural ingredients (Cohen's friendly, I think!)
chai.png

It's a rich black tea with cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and ginger.
It's quite expensive, but it's so worth it! MMmmmmmm!

I did measure myself after the first week..well, my sister did it. But I think she did it wrong, cause some of the measurements that she wrote down are smaller than what I am at the moment! lol
So I can't really go with them yet hehe

The 5th of May! Cool! I should also book myself a date with my consultant.. I'll email her now :D

Hehehe, maybe we'll even surprise ourselves with the size we finish with ;)

I love visiting my parents! You must enjoy it and good luck with your mom's cooking.

I'm just gonna vote for the party that I've always believed could make a change in our country. Hope it can make a difference :gnorsi:

Hope the rest of your day is smooooth sailing!
Thanks for being here and good for sticking even though the crackers are attacking you! ;)

mwah!

Luvbug, just believe, believe, believe, believe, believe!

Honestly, I've been on this diet twice now (very long story so won't bore you). BOTH TIMES I have dropped significantly over the first month - a couple of dress sizes.

But stop worrying if you can't "feel" it, and remember that end of month is a time when our minds play tricks on us and make us doubt and feel sorry for ourselves. If you are having a bad day or two, ask yourself where in the cycle you are - I nearly always find I'm coming up for last week of the month, I retain a bit of fluid etc, so feel lousy. BUT... the measurements will keep going down I promise you!

There are tons of other stories better than me - I haven't been a super-fast loser, but I'm very happy anyway.

Hi Luvbug, thanks for popping in on my diary :waving:

All I can say is :iagree:100% with Niyah's comments. You will be blown away by the first month. I'm not going to say anymore, except you just wait and see, and we'll be here congratulating you.

:grouphug: That's from all of us Luvbug!
:iagree: With all of the above.
First month I don't think I believed that Cohen's would work or was working. When I got on the scales after my first 4 weeks & saw that I had lost 10kg I thought they must be wrong. I think I got on & off them about 5 times! Mind you, I did have 36kg to lose, so still had a long way to go but it was so exciting. After that I had faith & so will you. I have never felt so confident or so sure about anything. Stick to Cohen's & you will get to your goal weight. That I am sure about. You are doing very well and you should take pride that you are being so strong.
Check with your consultant re the Twinings Chai just to make sure. I love peppermint tea.
BTW. I froze while I was on Cohen's. I was always cold. You just reminded me.
Cheers for now, Cate

Hi L-Jay

You will be blown away by the first month. I'm not going to say anymore, except you just wait and see, and we'll be here congratulating you.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words :)
I will just suck it up and wait it out hehe.

How is Cohen's still treating you?
Keep well
xxx

Hi Cate

Thank you so much -- I really needed that :) :grouphug:

I'm believing and taking every day as it comes. The big day is next week Thursday, so it's not that far away...
I don't even care about losing much - if I lose 3kgs I will be happy :D
At least I know it's working!

Thanks for the tip, I'll email my consultant re the tea.

BTW. I froze while I was on Cohen's. I was always cold. You just reminded me.
Cheers for now, Cate

I couldn't agree with you more! Even since the first week on the diet.. When other people are warm, I am cold hehe
So the tea helps a lot and I warm my apple in the oven, topped with cinnamon, for a warm snack :D
Or I eat the "apple pie" thingy.
It's getting more tricky to drink all of the water in this cold, but I'll just force it down.

Good luck for your YS and everything that you have to do!

Keep well
Greetings, Luvbug

Start to Week 4!

Hi everyone :)

Today is the start of week 4 for me and Starfish! Yay! How awesome is that?! :D
I feel wonderful on this diet. It's truely a fantastic program.. Who knew that our bodies only needed this smallish amount of food? No wonder our people are overweight - just look at the portion sizes of restaurants! It's really an eye-opener for me.

I can definately feel today that my waist is smaller.. :D and I know that it's only the beginning! I feel healthy, energized and happy!

Just a warning: my consultant says that the Chai is a no no.. Oh well, i deviated a little then - but I don't think that a daily cup of tea can be the end of the world. I'll get myself the peppermint tea again - I love it too, Cate! ;)

Hope u all have a stunning day!

Keep well, Luvbug :seeya:

Luvbug- I'm loving hearing about how good you two are feeling. Being on Cohen's is an absolute eye-opener. Cohen's is much more than a diet. It changes how you look at food, the people around you, what they eat, what you used to eat. It's a great learning experience. Re whether something is ok on Cohens -"If in doubt, leave it out was" one of my mantras until you ask your consultant. Little harm done though I'm sure. I accidentally used Chinese Five Spice not knowing it had a gluten filler in it. Cheers, Cate

Hey Luvbug! You such a sweetie!

:cheers2: Here IS TO 4 WEEKS LADY! :cheers2:

Oh im sorry to hear about the Chai tea! I get very attached to like drinks and specific water and apples (cos when you eat/drink its gotta be good) that its tough to drop something that you really really like-- like your chai-tea! Sorry man!

Im having a irritated day-- Im getting forced into going out for dinner tonight! Its my bf sisters graduation and they family in law is celebrating with dinner! No I dont want to go-- bottom line! Not because of them or that I dont want to celebrate-- but I just dont feel like fighting of the 'no thank u's' the 'no I cant' and the' Ive already eaten' better yet-- no thanks Im not realy hungry! With all of the above 100% True and I am ACTUALLY not hungry and I dont feel like eating! I dont want to spoil my progress-- Thats it!

i dont know what Im going to do-- i dont want to come accross as insensitve or uncaring! JUST NOT HUNGRY! LOL im freeking out!

Im glad to hear that you are doing well and STILL HAVING WEIGHED! You deserve a medal for that! But yes I aggree with Cate-- You are going to be blown away ( and we all cant wait) yay!

Have a fantastic evening-- I was a bit quiet today-- went out of forced fieldwork- we had a power outage!

MWAH!

Hi Luvbug, that's a bummer about the tea. I wish I loved peppermint tea. I'm sure if I made myself, I eventually would. I absolutely love chai latte's. So it's a real pain if I'm out with friends who want to go to a cafe and I have to order a black coffee or tea. I sit there thinking to myself "I could be drinking this at home for nothing, and I had to come here and pay for it", and try not to feel really deprived lol.

:iagree: 100% with you, Cate! Couldn't have said it better myself :D
I am soooo proud of myself for doing Cohen's. I'm just so glad that I've discovered it! It's not advertised in SA at all..so I've heard of it through word of mouth. Kind of ironic, since dr. Cohen is originally from SA lol

I've bought myself the peppermint tea -- it's so good, I don't even miss the Chai tea :biggrinjester:

Keep well,
Luvbug xxx

Haha, L-Jay -- that's exactly what I feel like! I usually order herbal tea, like chamomile, while my friends order their latte's. It did bother me in the beginning, but I guess that I'm used to it. It is my own decision to follow Cohen's anyway ;)

And Chai latte's... I won't even start on that.. hehe
I absolutely LOVE cinnamon- so it's to die for! :D

Keep well, Luvbug xxx :seeya:

:bigear: Im listening in!

ya its very weird that we here in S.A dont know about Dr. Cohen! If I knew about it sooner I wouldve done it sooner! I read about it in a magazine-- the next week I signed on! The thing about the program thats great is the fact that there is no pills or injections-- Ive seen my friends on a diet where you get a vitamin B12 injection every 2 weeks or something, but the diet they give is very protein orientated and almost no fruit&veg! YUCK! i wont be able to do that and where in the world is something health if you need injections! eeewww! Well, for me, I was getting rather desperate and was about to try another set of supplements and diet pills! How I hate them! Never realy worked anyways but it was more a thing of ' im dong something' to loose weight, however, I was always disapointed! LOL NOT ANYMORE" YAY! So im so happy that I found the program, just aswell before I wasted my money on some crap pills!

So here I am - no pills and no injections-- and WAIT--LOOSING WEIGHT! hurray!

LOL.. the Sarie, right?? ;)

That's also how I saw it -- after I heard about it from other people. That's so random. All I can say is: THANK U, EMMA! haha

I bought myself a size 8 pencil skirt Wednesday, but I'm confused, cause it's fitting perfectly. Nooooo! Now I must get a 6 if I want it to fit me when I'm at goal. *grumble* That is NOT a size 8, it's a 10 givin the name 8. So frustrating lol
I can't even get the size 8 jeans that I bought, over my hips yet lol...

Anyyway, I bought a fabulous red coat! It's stunning :D

:biggrinjester: Ya the old lady's magazine! SARIE! lol!

Freek- Size 8 nogal Wow! I think that I will deffinitely suffer from bomb-shock if I EVER fit into a single digit! LOL! Im still aiming for a 10!

I just want to buy buy buy buy- but I know its a bad idea--esp pants! I should just wait until I can fit into a few things I have then I will be sorta sorted for winter-- There are however a few things that I 'eye'!

Here is a funny thing-- I dont even own ONE skirt or ONE dress! NOT EVEN ONE! To me, I look rediculous in a dress-- or acually anything thats not pants! LOL! :hat: I am going to try and change my opinion(about skirts and dresses) a bit later-- maybe next summer! Maybe I should consult like a stylist or something-- when Im at my GW. Just to try new things-- its so easy to become stuck in your own world and opinions!

I wish this day would just end already so that the weekend can begin YAY!

Hehe, I have a very small bone structure and I'm very short! So a size 10 isn't that flattering on me..

You should really try dresses and skirts - I love them. It's so feminine and fun :D

And I know what you mean about the shopping, I'm also 'eyeing' everything lol
But it's wise to wait it out till you've lost a bit more. If you buy something now, it'll probably drown you next month! hehe Which is always a good thing! ;)

It's almost weekend, girl. Enjoy it and good luck for all the temptations out there!

Keep well,
mwahh!

Hope your weigh day goes really well Luv Bug. You don't have a huge amount to lose, so it might not go as quickly as someone who started as big as me, but I bet you will be pleased anyway - you've stuck to it, so good luck on those scales!
