I agree with you 110%! Why eat something if it's not great quality? I love Lindt dark chocolate.. And filter coffee.. You can only have a little bit and you're satisfied.
I tried to reply on your pm, but I don't know whether it sent. I feel so useless without my pc hehe

Today was day 10 and I felt a bit cranky and a bit hungry before lunch..dunno why. Could be because they're all eating donuts, ice cream and kfc around me constantly. haha. I've already went with my family to a restaurant 4 times without eating anything (I eat at home before or afterwards and I take crackers). I've been to a dance club last night and didn't have a sip of alcohol. I haven't (and will NEVER) deviate! :D

Today was our last day on holiday and we're going back home tomorrow morning. It's a 12 hour trip, so I've already packed my breakfast and lunch for the road. Yay! So then I post again regularly :)

I can't help but wonder whether I've lost weight yet.. I can't feel anything in my clothes yet. Oh well, sure something's happening! :)

Im glad to see that you are keeping strong and resisting temtation! Its hard sometimes and I can realy say that that is also one of the things that I have to fight against. Resisting a drink with friend-- shoe I struggle! BUT proud to say that I havnt deviated once and going strong-- can almost see the end of 2 weeks! Can you believe that! AND SO CAN YOU! you went through the hardest-- A HOLIDAY MAN!

I cant believe easter has come and come and back to work!

I'm awesome thanks and you?? I'm doing okay.. I haven't really lost anything yet, eventhough I follow it 110%. So this morning I reread my whole booklit...
And then it struck me - I've been eating the wrong cheese (every day).:blush5:
I haven't been eating Mozarella, but white Cheddar that only looked like Moz. *sigh* SOOO stupid! :willy_nilly:
That cost me about 2 weeks, but oh well!
Which brand Moz are you using?? I can't seem to find low fat Moz anywhere!
At the moment I'm using Ricotta and Cottage Cheese.

And how is it going with you?? :biggrinjester:

We've returned from holiday yesterday and I've come back to Jozi only today. Tomorrow the uni starts again :p

Yeah - we're almost 2 weeks on this awesome program! Can you believe how time flies? hehe

Not cool! I WISH holidays could last forever! But glad you are rested and ready for another semester!

I cant believe you havnt lost anything-- Im sure you have man, there is just no other way! Im not encouraging you to get on the scale now-- you have been donig so well staying of it, so wait and see! But Im sure you have!

OOPS about the cheese! Ya that can be a bit of a problem-- white cheddar has a higher fat percentage to Mozzerela, I found some good tasing Mozz at Woolies food. Its very good and form one block you get about 8 servings!

YUM! I also enjoy the cheese allot-- here is my snack tip-- on the day that you eat cheese add the most part of the allowance to you meal and then keep some left over and put it on provita with black pepper and Aromat!! Pop in the Mircowave and melt! YUM 100% oh and if you like it spicy like me-- use the peri pert aromat!!!

i wanted to ask-- are you in RES on campus or are you a Daily?

Today is day 14 and tomorrow we start a new week! whooo hoo WEEK 3 can you believe it! I hope you can come right with the cheese!

I have been going to gym-- I FEEL SO GOOD! :hurray:its fantastic! My next chalenge is getting my bf on the program too!

I am going to try and cut it a bit though, by maybe just eating it 3x a week or something. I've read somewhere on the forum that it could slow down weightloss.

I'm living in RES on campus, but I visit my boyfriend when I have a day off or so. hehe

I can't believe that it's almost the beginning of week 3! Good grief how time flies! I'd love to go to gym as well, but I'll keep it mostly to walking on the threadmill and light weights. I used to jog 40min a day, but I can feel that I don't have enough energy for jogging. Which exercises are you doing at the gym?

Good to hear from you! Ya go check out the cheese--- Woolies also got nice feta, they call it Slimmers choice-- its a bit more expensive than regular but I think its a better option to take the reduced fat one--and also IT TASTES GREAT! I LOVE WOOLIES! :drool5:

I asked about the Res cos I was in Benjimin when I was on campus-- My family doesnt live in Jhb so was a benje-baby in my first year! There after I lived in a commune just below UJ ( I liked the commune better than res)!

Im glad to have been able to put a face to the name! Facebook does have some advantages!

Im up for coffee anytime! LOL remember its black with no sugar! lol!

I sorta forgot about the strarch in Aromat- I should check-- but then again its not like you consume allot! sShot for the apple pie-- Im going to try!

Gymming-- ooh i love it! Puts me on such a HIGH! I am also a runner and enjoy a good session on the tredmill---My workout now consists of :
(i have scaled it down a bit, dont want to over do it, I use to do ALLOT MORE)

12min tredmill, 10min stepper, 20-30min weights where I alternate, like 1 day arms and shoulders, then legs and abs and sometimes I just try something new or do what I feel like!

Nothing to strick and In future Id like to try some Yoga and Pilates! I joined the Brightwater Commons Virgin Active In december 2008 and I have never been so pleased with a gym as with this one! I visit allot of different gyms whilst I travel for work but NO ONE beats the Commons-- Its so new and organised!

I'm in Benjemijn for my 4th year now! This is so cool - we're both Benjies hehe! Res life isn't reallyyyy for me, but it works for me. It's cheaper and I don't have a car, so transport won't be an issue.

I know how you feel!!! I can't wait for the weekend! :D I feel so lazy after all of these holidays, I just can't get back to working. :toetap05:

I'm glad that you like the snack! I love it tooo..it's so sweet and nummy and stuff! I LOVE cinnamon, so I always put some the crackers to make it taste nicer (I put cinnamon in most things lol). So the one day I just sliced the apple and put it on the cracker. The next day I put it into the microwave...and that's kinda how I came up with it lol :jump:
But I'll still try the cheese one ;)

Class was hectic today, but luckily done. Hope you're having a fantastic day!!! Enjoy it, it's almost weekend! :biggrinjester:

Feel like comfort food? Then try this! It's..amazing!! :D

Cheese Veggie bake

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 ricotta allowance
    1/2 mozzarella allowance
    2/3 cauliflower allowance
    1/3 spinach allowance
    salt
    pepper
    herbs/spices

Method:

Steam/cook the cauliflower to al dente. (I just pop them into the microwave for 2 minutes)
Mix the cheeses, adding spices to taste.
Spray a light coating of cooking spray in an oven safe dish.
Put 1/3 of the cheese/herb mixture on the bottom of the dish.
Layer all of the spinach on top of that.
Add the cauliflower.
Cover with remaining cheese.
Bake at 180C for 15 minutes.

Yeaaaaahh!! The public holidays rock!! And Wednesday is Voting Day -- I'm so excited, cause it's the first time that I'm allowed to vote LOL

Hehe, I bought my Ricotta at Pick 'n Pay. Just ask someone if you can't find it, cause they definately stock it.

I'm doing great, I think! I still get those random strikes of hunger..but then I just control myself and it passes fairly quickly. How about you? ;)

I'll just keep my weight a secret till the 4 week weigh-in day. I hope I can manage that! But alas, I think it's for the better.

I'm in the pc labs on campus and damn it's full. Who am I kidding, it's ALWAYS full. lol
I'd like to chat to you sometime about your job. My sister wants to study what you did here at RAU, but she's scared. She doesn't really know what's the pros and cons. If you could answer a few questions for her it would be awesome!
It's scary for a matric girl to suddenly decide on a career that's gonna last them the rest of their life!

Weekend was great, went to party on Saturday but left early-- It was getting to cold and I was hungry LOL! I struggled the weekend-- was so hungry on saturday and sunday and ended up eating more crackers than my allowance-- my bf also doesnt exactly make it very easier-- eating steers and kfc right under my nose! But I just stuck to the crackers-- I sure wish I didnt though-- the crabs cant be to great! :smash:

I might not be the best 'current' candidate to ask as I have been out of circulation for a while now-- Im not to clued up about the silybis and maybe somethings has changed with the subjects-- but if she wants to know where you end up after studying-- then sure-- I have info! I know that scary feeling-- I also didnt know what to study when I got to the decition time!

Bad night..

Good morning :D

Last night was a bit bad for me...

My boyfriend visited me and asked me how I was doing with the diet and whether I'm still positive. He says that he KNOWS that the diet will work and that he's so proud of me for sticking to it like this. But then I had a bit of a breakdown when we started to talk about the diet. I'm very motivated and feel very positive about it -- I just feel unsure whether it's working/I'm doing something wrong. I can't feel any weightloss yet..

I KNOW it's stupid, but all of us just need that initial "boost" when we see results. (no matter how small)
(Come on ladies, didn't you feel sceptical till you had that first meeting with the scale??? or felt it in your clothes???)
And it kinda feels like there's no results yet. *stops ranting* :rant: lol

I'm positive though, waiting for my 4 week weigh-in and I'll take it from there! :D
Maybe I'm just too blind to it yet.

We all have our little moments of weakness, I guess.
