It's all about the norms of society. Not too long ago, homosexuality was paired along side bestiality and pedophilia.

I have a lot of gay people in my family including my grandfather (left my grandmother after having 4 kids). I love for as family and don't think about what they do in private. I compare to morbidly obese people having sex. I know it happens but I don't think about it. I employ similar techniques when I'm with gay family members.

As for the dolls, why are people upset? It's no different than using a sex toy. I don't understand why it's basically fine for a woman to have a vibrator but a man would be called a perv for owning a plastic vagina. On that note, these dolls should be regarded as objects used for entertainment not actual partners.

I know a lot of gay people too that's not the issue. It's that some of these people DO regard the dolls as PARTNERS and that is what I think is wrong.

Lets say hypothetically, that in the next 50 years we have the technology to create smart robots.

What if a company made female androids, that look like human females and are programmed to love and please who ever they are sold to.

That would be cool.

That is a different story. You are talking about something that is AI and is interacting with you (to some extent) not just some giant rubberized version of a barbie doll.....

ok, well, I'm just saying there is some sort of interaction... with the rubber doll things, there is nothing. At least if it is animated and can react to you (verbal, touch, etc...) it is providing some response that is not soley based on a single persons discretion.

You can't interact with an inanimate object, but you can interact with AI.

As for right or wrong rules, I just think (and this is solely my feelings) that the AI would provide more than a rubber doll could :)

personally me too! but if someone is going to do something creepy like this, it might as well be with something that can talk back and "interact" rather than something dead like.... which offers more chance of promoting necrophilia....
