Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

Anyhow 191 this morning. I should be on one of those clickbait sites: "How to lose six pounds in one day with this one simple trick!"

The "simple trick" of course being that you gain six pounds in one day the day before.

Upper body workout done.
 
Alright 189.5 this morning. Woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep, so I had time to make an omelet and a few slices of bacon. Now getting ready for my workout.

Weather has taken a turn for the better around here with a predicted high of 84 degrees today. So I've been doing a lot of walking to enjoy it.
 
Forgot to weigh myself this morning, but I did really well yesterday, so I'm assuming it was fine. Also, haven't had a haircut in a few months and I'm getting one today, so I should lose a few pounds from that.

Friday night: my main weakness at this point. Gonna really have to try hard.
 
Sorry for not checking in. A lot of things will get settled by tomorrow (for good or bad) and I'll check back in then.
 
A seemingly endless source of stress has been lifted off my shoulders, as I got word that I will be employed for another year. I was extremely worried. But now I can relax a little.

My diet has been abysmal lately and I 'm definitely considerably fatter than I need to be. Tonight I hopped on the scale and was 199.5 pounds, so tomorrow morning it should be 196 to 197. The first 6 or 7 will come off quickly. So I'm hoping to get down to around 170 by June 1.

If I can do that while at least maintaining my current strength levels, that would be great, and if I can add some strength in the process that would be even better. At 170 I'll re-evaluate how i look and go from there.

Target calories for now will be 2000. I'll do that for a few weeks and see how it's going.
 
Hey Vee, I'm glad to see that you're still around! Great news about your job. Ambiguity about your employment status is hugely stressful. I know you can hit your goal, given how well you've done overall.
 
No kale today but otherwise I've nailed the diet. Was 197 this morning but I suspect i'll be down quite a bit tomorrow as I've gotten rid of a lot of fluid today.

Nailed my morning leg workout, PRs in Squat and Deadlift. Tomorrow bench press is the big one.

Weather has been crappy today and supposed to be crappy tomorrow as well. Considering this is supposed to be the best time of year for weather here, that's no fun. If the forecast is right, things get real nice by Thursday, though. Maybe I can go hiking this weekend.
 
I wish you luck on the hiking this weekend. Weather is generally crappy where I'm at this time of year and I feel like I haven't really been outside in weeks.

I too am in process of re- losing a few pounds (8) but at least its not the whole load.
Better get out in that spring weather before that AZ heat arrives.

193 this morning. Trying to undo some bad eating habits I've picked up (eg, eating "dessert" at 3 pm).
 
It's so hard to break those random habits you pick up. I had to break myself of eating a spoon of peanut butter before bed every night. Why was I doing that? :confused:
 
192? Excellent Vee. Breaking those weird little habits is not easy. I was snacking on dry biscuits late at night, so have bought some boring, tasteless ones, instead of the delicious sea salt/vinegar ones.
