Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

How long have you been in that place Vee? I seem to remember when you moved there. Good luck with the apartment searching!

When you set your mind to doing something, there's no stopping you really. The weight is coming off fast!

No, I've been here the whole time I was on here. When I moved in I was at 375 (or close), because I remember not wanting to live on the third floor because of all the stairs and having to move up them.

My how things have changed. Wouldn't mind being somewhere with no one above me now, even if it means stairs.

174.5 this morning.

Got my final lifting session of the week in. One of the next two days is cardio day. Probably go hiking on Sunday.

Friday night = must behave myself...

You don't have to behave yourself - not by a long stretch - but it WOULD be nice to not drink too many calories :p

Yeah, if there's one lesson I'd like to pass along to everyone trying to lose weight: if you screw up and go on a binge for a couple days, your weight may spike by like 5 pounds or even more. DO NOT PANIC and then chuck in the towel. There's essentially no way to gain that much "real" weight in that short of time frame. It's mostly gonna be water and it comes off just as fast if you hop back on track. 182 became 174.5 in less than a week. It gets a little harder from here obviously.

A slipup/binge doesn't really sabotage your progress as much as it actually just stalls it for a bit. Not great, obviously, but not the end of the world.

Didn't do so well on Friday night, and had to go over calories a bit yesterday for recovery purposes. But been on point today, and was 176 this morning, so still well down for the week. Suspect it will be lower tomorrow.

My microwave, however, is broken. So stove top meals all weekend. Will inform the front desk tomorrow. Will make on omelet tomorrow morning. I usually microwave my oats in the morning and my veggies with dinner, so it'd be nice to have it back.

Thanks for the good advice. I usually feel really hopeless when I slip-up:(

Okay, back to 174 this morning. Got the heaviest of the upper body workouts of the 4 week cycle in, and all reps and sets complete! Yay, I'm getting stronger!!! Can't wait to kick sand in guys' faces at the beach.

Still no microwave. Made overnight cold oats to compensate. If still no microwave tomorrow, will bacon and eggs it. Maybe I'll just do that regardless.

Need to be diligent today and tomorrow, because Thursday is every American's diet Armageddon: Thanksgiving.

The good news, 172.5 this morning! :coolgleamA:

The bad news, had a miserable time trying to sleep last night. Maybe got a few hours, and only because I slept in. So I skipped the morning workout and got some work done. Gonna go work out now (around 1 pm), hopefully it won't be too busy. Also have to check tomorrow's hours. Would like to get a workout in before heading to the parents for the foodpocalypse.

Back up to 329.5 today as water weight giveth and water weight taketh away. Golfing today. Golf is a strange sport in that the worse you are at it, the more exercise you get from it. I expect a lot of exercise today.

Really enjoying reading your diary buddy. You have a wonderful sense of humour! I'm only on the first page of your diary but i hope youre still hanging in there!

Well I've been away for too long, so I need to come back. Anyhow, the picture is from about 10 minutes ago.

The weight is up to 190 this morning, which is bad. The good news is that I've continued to work out heavily, even if my eating has been abysmal (box of pop tarts in less than an hour is not something to be proud of). So because of the workouts, a decent amount of the weight is muscle, and I look better than I did last time at 190.

Today I did three sets of five deadlifts at 255 pounds. Which isn't world record breaking by any means, but it's WAY more than anything I could've hoped to have done a year ago. My hands hurt from it more than anything else.

So if I can get the calories cut back, stay away from a newly acquired sweet tooth (ironically I never really had one, even at 375 pounds) and shed some of this weight, I may actually wind up better off at 170 than I was at 170 6 months ago.

So to that end, I'm gonna stick around on here, and post when I have the time to. Take care!
