I don't really believe in reincarnation, but I do sometimes think that you carry a lot of the memories of your ancestors in your genes, and that could explain the fear of spiders, even if you personally have never experienced one. I do this weird pinching thing that my grandmother used to do. I think it's a self-soothing motion that seems to be genetic, as opposed to one of watching and mimicking. I obviously can't say for sure, but it's interesting.

Sounds like a good day ahead. Just one baby carrot? Haha. Also, 'the Hemsworth boys' being your neighbours did intrigue me, not gonna lie, haha.

They live in Noosa (a little to the south where a lot of celebs live) but hang out at the coffee shop in Rainbow Beach where they don't get mobbed by people looking for selfies etc. and locals just leave them alone to relax.

It has been an ok day today. I had stomach cramps and the runs last night after having some yoghurt, It has been a quite a while since I have had it. Did not feel like eating this morning after the gut problem and little miss having a bad night. Little miss went to childcare as normal but hubby had to pick her up later when she developed a mild fever and I was already on my way to Uni.

Completed my 2 hours in the Uni gym fur tute today, looking at more tests for evaluating an measuring movement, my dorsiflexion is great as expected but my training partner has almost no dorsiflexion, so gives me something to focus on in the week 4 practical coaching exam looking at RAMP and corrective exercises based on our individual results. It also touched on studies showing adverse ECG results on subjects that do strenuous exercise without doing an adequate warm-up. My hip mobility was adequate but I have not done the full calculation yet, just the raw date.

It is almost 5pm and have yet to eat today, could not eat at uni as the food on offer is not allergy friendly. Time to slice a couple of steaks off the whole topside in the fridge otherwise I may be tempted to eat junk.

my body definitely needed that steak lol.

after doing the maths, my YBT-LQ composite score was 80%, not so great but the injury risk cut off depends on the individual sport but I would have liked to have been closer to the 95% mark

For the record my weighted dorsiflexion was 55.8 on my dominant right and 53.8 on the left well above the 35% target.

I'm by nature very inflexible but thankfully I practice regularly with patients. Will never be average but I can at least keep my mobility in a healthy range.

feeling sick, dreadful cough and sore throat, at least I got this weeks photography tasks done yesterday, still need to write a training program for my assessment partner for Uni using the correct corrective exercises based on their FMS, Y test and ankle mobility testing. It may have to wait for tonight, I am going back to bed and hope to be better for uni tomorrow.

I hope you feel better soon, Tru. Getting a cold when the weather is warm seems worse than a Winter one. Take care xo

I have a time slot locked in for practical exam next week, tutor looked over the program I have written with positive feedback and the comment that I will nail this exam as it is the same tutor I had for the pre-rec subject who has a good feel for the abilities of students he is familiar with. The students most likely to struggle are those who had to do the pre-rec subject online rather than face to face.

Also spoke to student admin today to see what process I needed to go through to enroll in the next stage of my study, If all goes to plan I will finish my Diploma this semester so I can go on with the rest of the bachelors next semester.

Feeling better this afternoon than I did this morning, hopefully I will feel well enough to tackle the new trail tomorrow and hopefully get some good photographs for my photography assignment (composition).

Not even crossing my fingers for your exam; you're going to crush it. Glad to hear you're feeling a little better though.

grrr, I seem to have bruised a knee today, I have no idea how I did it but it is rather painful to the touch without any pain when weight bearing or moving. Took some pain relief knowing it usually knocks me out but here I am after midnight and wide awake.

Grrr indeed. Hope you bounce back quickly, Tru. Take it a little bit easy over the weekend if you can :)

Knee seems ok today, weird aches and pains that come and go seem to be part of getting older lol. Opted not to do the walk in the pouring rain, I went to the historic rail station in town to take pics for Uni assignment instead where I at least had some cover during downpours. Timing was not great for getting the best pics of the steam train as I arrived just as it was about to leave but did scope out some spots to set up next week to get some frontal shots from above.

still raining but not anywhere near as much as down south.

Just cooked up a couple of small pieces of wagyu and it made for a wonderful tender lunch, first time I have seen it for a reasonable price at the supermarket.

I have been working towards my assessments this week and next week and looking at ways to incorporate more RNT into my coaching. My consult with the photography co-ordinator went well earlier, lots of positive feedback, but I still need to find a couple more locations to cover all of the photographic composition types, specifically triangles, frame within frame, golden ratio and probably another symmetry pic. all of the other composition types I have got covered.

I don't know what the rain has been like in the catchment but there remains a possibility that flooding could be a problem getting to my face to face assessment on Friday for coaching.

It’s awful. Stay safe, Tru xo

These extremes in weather must be frustrating; if only that rain would spread out over the year a bit...
