If you can work treats into your plan an still stick to your calories that's great!

You also have to watch your fat count as much as calories. I try not to succeed 20 grams of fat in a day.

I don't, but it depends on your plan. Fat helps keep me satiated for a long time between meals.

I guess I can relate. I listen to my body during the dieting. If my body needs carbs, I eat carbs, if I need something sweet then I eat dark chocolate or if I'm craving for something salty and crunchy then I eat tostitos. For breakfast I had an everything bagel with eggs, cheese, avocados and tomatoes. It's not the best diet but I'm going to the dentist and then the gym so I need something that's going to keep me fueled.

Eating is very important!! I want to share with everyone that I used to undereat and it did a lot of damage to my mind!

Breakfast sounds delicious! I'm glad you got over the undereating; you are too important to be treated with anything less than care and respect.

Breakfast sounded delicious to me too. I'm glad you recovered from the undereating. Your body deserves good nutritious food & enough of it to be nourished. :grouphug:

I really appreciate all the kind words. I'm depressed and I started working out and eating healthy at 160. My doctor said it was a really good weight considering my medications and now I'm at 149. It's easy to loose the first 5 pounds since your body is retaining so much water. I went to the gym and I pushed myself to sweat. it's a slow progress but as I'm working out, I'm leaving my phone at home and trying to focus on my own well being.

Finding balance in life is hard for most of us. Focussing on being healthy, both mentally & physically is very important & it seems to me that you are doing really well.

It doesn't feel like I am though. I can only do a little bit a day. I'm making dinner right now but I can't put a full day in yet

I had some curry chicken and rice for dinner. I'm cutting off for night now since I always have a cut off time around 6 and 7 for eating. I'll break the fast with a nutritious breakfast and hit the gym again tomorrow. The only thing I forgot to do at the gym was my inner thighs so i am doing those at home! I'm getting better at cardio and back up to 4.0 on the treadmill. A month ago, I couldn't do more than 3.6 without my calves hurting. I finally have time to check out some other threads and see what you all have to say.

I think this is a real clue to success - to be aware of what your body actually wants and is calling for (as opposed to what a tired, ad-swamped brain might think it wants). Good for you on having that well sorted!
Eating early at night works best for me as well. It doesn't quite work out (for me) as fasting in the IF sense, since there's usually only about fourteen or fifteen hours max. in between meals, but... like I said, it works for me. :D
What are you doing for your inner thighs at home? Going regularly to a gym isn't really feasible for me right now, so I'm interested in home exercise.
Is
4.0 on the treadmill
a distance or a speed? Or something else entirely?

What are you doing for your inner thighs at home?

Take a wide stance for squatting will target the adductor muscles

I went to the gym and I pushed myself to sweat.

This is good, but remember the quantity of sweat is not a good indicator of the quality of the training session, People who do not sweat or sweat very little often do themselves harm thinking they just need to push harder.

Speed my friend. 4.0 is the speed I'm at walking on the treadmill. I do my intervals between 4.0 and 6.0. which is better then where I started.
My inner thighs, I lay on my side and curl my leg over then life my leg up using my thigh until I feel it. I will find a video and send it over to you because I don't think I described that well at all.
I'm feeling much better but that's not to say tomorrow or a day down the road will not be difficult. If any of you folks need me, I'll be here for you too!

Thanks for the tip!

Glad this works for you, listening to my body or something is what got me into the state I was in a few months ago. I've been fighting to ignore it...

You seem to have a pretty good approach, keep up the good work!

I know how frustrating that is but you ARE doing what you can. Try to compare yourself to yourself a while back rather than other people who seem to have it all together (but whose demons you don´t know about).

I have the advantage of having been doing this since I was 14. I'm 37 so by now I know what works for me. I will post an after picture when I get to 125, 130 but in the mean time I want to support you all. I can't believe how supportive and sweet you all are.

I love this! It is a great community & we do all support one another & new members. It's how life should be. LaMa is right.
I think you'll fit right in!
