Lei's Big Huge Log

Yep, but it isn't as bad as the carpel tunnel in my wrist.

There are also some friction burns that aren't very comfortable...

Lmao thanks guys

Your journal name...

wow Lei, I just noticed your ummmm...big...huge log. I don't know how I could have missed it, I mean it's a log that's ummm...big and ummm...huge LOL:p

And it gets bigger everyday ;)

6/3/07
(sets x reps)

Complex A:
A1: 1 Power clean
A2: 1 Press
A3: 5 Front squats
A4: 1 Press

Complex B:
B1: 1 Power clean
B2: 1 Press
B3: 4 Front squats
B4: 1 Power clean

Warm up sets of pressing and front squatting at 95 and 115
Ax2 @ 135 and 155
Bx1 @ 165

Ring work circut: X2 (second set didn't have many dips...I was wasted after this)
8 Pull ups
5 Muscle up progressions
5 Iron Cross progressions
5 Dips

Tried to go over gong fu forms...I'm forgetting ONE step which makes the form go all over the place and look ugly. I still remember the 'why' and the rest of the 'how', so the rest is just making the form look pretty so I don't start the form in the driveway and end up in the backyard.

ooo ok. I get it now, nice! Sorta like a half Bear workout with the clean-press-squat-press in a way. I'm impressed you can clean and press enough to get a decent squat workout in. Nice job

Thanks...but that's also a bad thing. Unless I was Pyrros Dimas...lmao.

I did some presses and cleans working up from 95 to 155. Then I deadlifted for a set of three at 225 and two singles at 305.

My heart, mind, and body (knee started hurting out of nowhere at beginning of warm up, hence no squatting) were not in this at ALL. I am just...elsewhere. Most of the time I'll struggle with the mind aspect as my body is usually fine and my heart is in what I do most of the time. Not so, recently...I just want to be somewhere else. I was really hoping I could start bjj and mma this summer since I decided to take a break, but the only real school in my area teaches when I work...and there's really no way around it. All I want to do this summer is train mma/bjj, hang out with friends, drink, read a few books, and beat Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Oh, and LMAO

Look at those traps. This is a real ad that was at the bottom of the page.

Ring work:X3
8 pull ups
>5 dips
Many iron cross progressions and muscle up progressions

Bodyweight squats-
2x50

Had one poor punch while doing bag work a few days ago, so wrist was kind of tender, or else I'd front squat.

Well, I've been gone for a little while...I did some odd workouts but none that I really needed to remember or record. For the past several weeks I has the opprotunity to spend time with my extended family whom I don't often get to spend time with. Since my cousin is a physician, I was able to shadow him at work, talk to him, and really learn some things about a future I might have in medicine...In the end I know now that I have to really sacrifice myself to study if I really want to be the best. So I don't know where that puts the military and the military academies I was looking at. The biggest draw I see that the military can offer me is the chance to become the man I want to be-- the man who has conqured himself. But here's where things might go another way. If I apply to a milirary academy and actually get in, what will I do? The research I've done tells me that they don't really have a good way into medicine. I could enlist, but time can be saved if I pursue the ends through another means. And I know that in medicine, if you want to specialize, the younger you are, the better. I feel that if I train hard and compete in some sort of vigorous physical activity, I just may be able to gain what I need in order to become the man I want to become. And just what would that physical competition be? I feel that my best bet would be mma or something legitimately "brutal". What's the correlation to fighting in the ring and joining the military, you ask? Well if you do, I'll tell you what I think.

Anyway...so my wrist got pretty ****ed up. It wasn't a big deal and I've been getting better, but today I tried to OH press and it hurt quite a bit. Enough for me to stop. Since I haven't lifted seriously for almost a month, I didn't really pay attention to sets, reps, or weight. I just wanted to get back in and get a feel for things.

First time trying these, was trying to get a feel for the weight I should use and how much I should jump. Couldn't get off the ground with 205 but was able to shrug the weight fully, which explains why I did so many sets. I figured since they were called "jump" shrugs, that I could be jumping.
