Overwhelmed aside, what do you think of the new job?
 
Okay, I am late posting but I did weigh in when I said I would.

August 1: 219.0 lbs
August 7: 219.4 (oops!)
August 15: 223.0
August 22:

August 31: 215???

I will not be hitting my original August goal, but I'll get as close to it as I can. I am really surprised with all the Caribbean food and drinks I did not gain more. Got on the scale this morn and was already back down to 222.4, so maybe I didn't do too much damage.

Time to get serious.
 
Angela, I had a similar bump from my vacation, but it came back to where it was before in less then a week. The hard part is getting off that vacation mentality and back on the horse. What's your workout plan like this week?

I don't really have a real specific plan this week. My goal is to get to the gym at least 4 days and use the elliptical - which gives me the best workout. I would also like to go swimming if time permits. It's always hectic when school starts. :willy_nilly:
 
Cool. My plan is to run at least three times this week. I haven't done it yet so it's a challenge for me. Yesterday's run sucked big time, so I'm hoping to make up for it today.

Bad news: Last night I ate like shit. I didn't care. I was back to school shopping for the kids and there were some pants on sale so I tried them on. They fit like shit. I had no motivation. I was thinking that this is about as low as I'll get because all this shit sucks. That was my attitude last night.

Good news: This morning I woke up early and went running before work. I did 5k in 26 min 18 sec. That comes to just under an 8.5 min mile average. The weather this morning was perfect for running, too. 65 deg crisp air. Sun just peaking over the trees. Mother and two baby dear prancing away from me. The best run yet. It got me thinking that I can do this, so I guess it was a short lived funk.

Everyone goes through "I don't care" phases. I am glad to see you snapped out of yours really quick. That's what I like about you, Tropsie. You kick your own ass into gear! :D

I have cracked down on my binging at night quite a bit. It's been a couple days. I must say since I haven't had time to workout, I'm quite impressed that I'm still hovering in the 135 range. I thought I'd be up at around 140 by now. School is soon and you can bet I'm gonna be making up for this month hardcore. I've developed a workout schedule for this semester and I have time to fit in a workout everyday. If I can just finish the month at 135 I think I'll be happy. Then full force with the weight loss.
