Hi everyone..

YAY! Finally made it to refeed :) so so happy. Anyway...here's a run down of Day 1!

Starting weight: 56.9
+ 1 slice bread
+ 1 good fruit
+ old protein
+ new protein

Breakfast: Egg + Mushrooms + 1 piece of toast
Lunch: Tuna and Salad + 2 CB (Crispbreads)
Dinner: Steak & Veges

Snacks inbetween: Fruit Salad

Just that little bit of extra food today has gotten rid of the starvation! I was only a little hungry about 1 hour before lunch.... I actually had NO appetite what so ever for dinner tonight as today our air con was not working at all...and it was 42 degrees outside! I spent the whole day trying not to fall asleep at my desk so tonight I'm absolutely buggered..

I spent my lunch break doing refeed planning on my computer and have it all sorted up until next Thursday... so my mind is at ease =o)

Congratulations on officially beginning the refeed!

Your first day sounds fantastic and just that extra slice of bread must have also helped i'm sure. You are very organised having done everything till next thursday, sure it will make the time fly on refeed for you and before you know it you will be done :)

Try to eat what is on re-feed even if it seems too much. It's getting your body ready for the rest of your life. When you finish re-feed that should be roughly the right amount of food for you. Well done sweets. You have come such a long way in so many ways, xoxo Cate

Yes ouch to 42 - luckily we had some relief today after 3 days straight 40+ with 31 today. It was so much nicer!!!

Day 2 has gone well...its simple up until mixing proteins! I had some time at work today to do some planning so Ive planned the whole thing...but Im sure ill make some changes when I come up with new exciting ideas of way to mix things up!

Day 2
Weight: 56.8
Change since start: -100g
+ 1 bread
+ 1 good fruit
+ old protein
+ old vege

Breakfast: Yoghurt with Blueberries (Yum!)
Lunch: Tuna & Salad in one piece of bread + Tuna Salad
Dinner: Steak with veges

Snacks: Kiwi fruit, Apple and 2 crispbreads.

Feeling much better today... and I'm sure I'll start feeling better and better throughout refeed. Cant wait to get into the exercise!! We're going kayaking on Australia Day in the morning so I'm really looking forward to that because I'll have lots more energy to give it all I've got!

Was thinking today what will be the first thing that I have when I'm on my own in maintenance. I thought there were so many things I wanted to eat... but there's no one thing that I really cant wait to have. Maybe just some vegemite toast! I'm glad I feel like that. I think because of all of the thinking and food adding in refeed, it kind of makes you feel like that. You're happy just with the new protein, vege etc.

Off to zip down to the venue we're having our engagement party at to book it - yipeee!!

Kayaking- I was just saying only last week that I would love to go kayaking again. What fun! I'm going to go snorkelling up at the Great Barrier Reef on my 57th birthday in May.

Awesome Cate! I have never been snorkeling, I would like to do that. Friends of mine have a kayak of their own, one with pedals! It's really really hard work, last time I did about 10 minutes and had to ask to turn back... so this time around I'm hoping to give it a bit more of a go!

Hope you all had a great day. I was feeling quite off all day. I think the restless sleeps are slowly catching up with me... I have not slept right through for I dont know how long!

Day 3 of refeed went well... this is how it went;

Day 3
Weight: 56.7
Change since start: -200grams
+ 1 bread
+ 1 good fruit

Breakfast: Yoghurt with 1 mango
Lunch: Chicken and vegetables
Dinner: 1 piece of bread with melted mozzarella (omg yum!) with a cheesy vegetable bake + grilled mushies on the side

Snacks: 2 CB + Apple + Rockmelon

Down another 100grams...hoping this becomes a trend and I keep slowly dropping throughout refeed. The melted cheese on toast was sooooooo yum...!! really enjoyed it hehe.

Anyways, cant stay around.... have just done my food shopping so now I have to go bag up all my portions of meat for the next week and make my food for tomorrow.

Dinner: Curry chicken stir fry

Snacks: Fruit salad of apple, kiwi, rockmelon & pineapple (yummo!)

Hi Kristy, Try to remember how much you enjoyed adding these extras in refeed & hold that thought. It will hold you in good stead forever if you can stay being happy with what you are eating now but just adding a few "treats" as an exception, rather than letting them become a regular habit again. One example is we only have chocolate on Sunday night. Don't be frightened of maintenance. You will have the knowledge to make it work. It's very exciting Kristy! I'm so happy for you,

Thank you again Cate... that is very true. I have enjoyed adding in the little extras the past 5 days, so I will remember how that has made me feel. A treat in itself!

Have had a good day so far. I got up early, had my breaky and then went off for a nice 40 minute walk. Felt good! I jogged for all of 2 mins of that 40 mins - haha! But its better than nothing :)

Day 5

Breakfast: 1 mango + yoghurt + 2 CB
Lunch: 1 bread (chicken, mayo and lettuce 'half' sandwich) + chicken & salad
Dinner: Fish & Salad

Snacks: Fruit salad of apple, rockmelon and pineapple

So far so good. Was pretty full after dinner last night, but didnt stop me having my refreshing fruit salad a bit later - yummo!!!!

Must say I still dont feel like I'm getting enough food haha, I am a bit of a guts :( Looking forward to tomorrow where I'll get 2 pieces of bread so I can have a sandwich! Yum!

Off shopping with a friend in about an hour - shoes and a new dress! woo!

Morning everyone!

Its only the morning but seeing as I'm on now, I'll let you all know the plan for Day 6.

Oh and yesterday was supposed to say + 2 good fruit.

Day 6
Weight: 56.3
Change since start: -600grams
+ 2 good fruit
+ 2 bread
+ old protein
+ old veges

Breakfast: Yoghurt with 1 apple and cinnamon
Lunch: Tuna & Salad sandwich + left over tuna and salad
Dinner: Steak & Veges (a much bigger piece of steak than I'm used too!)

Snacks: 2 CB, fruit salad with apple & rockmelon

Happy that I've dropped 400grams over night. Not sure why... may have been my walk yesterday then lots of walking around the shops!!! I managed to find some hot shoes to go with my engagement dress! they just go so perfectly....they are pale pink, reallly high haha, strappy on the top with 3 little roses....and the best thing was they were half price down to $60! Score!

I'm off for a walk with a friend in about 40 mins and then on for a coffee.. (black for me of course) and then after lunch Chris and I are going to hit the shops again, hehe :)

Hi :)

I'm so glad I'm loosing! Being 1.3kgs away from top end goal weight makes me happpppy! Kinda hoping to get to 56 but won't be too fussy! It is really surprising loosing on refeed, considering the increased food! I guess its all scientific :)

I just enjoyed a nice (hot!) walk with my friend, we only went for 30 mins and were both sweating! So humid today. We then went on to have our coffee and I was surprised how much I enjoyed my black coffee. I do not even add half a sweetener like I was before. I am definately going to stick with it. As much as I used to love my lattes, they did make me feel bloated and really full - now I know why! they are a meal!

Tuna & Salad sandwich time in an hour - woohoo! Then off to find myself a new hot dress and shoes for the bday celebration!

Jinxed myself! I'm 500g up today. I have a funny feeling my scales were playing tricks on me yesterday when it flashed up 56.3. The first time I got on it was 56.8.. then the next it shot down to 56.3. So hmm. Either that or it may be because its coming up to TTOM and I am feeling quite yuk and bloated today. We'll see tomorrow.

I had all intentions of getting up to go for a walk this morning but I slept so crappy I ended up getting the extra hour sleep.

Off to work in 10 mins - so glad its back for one day then another day off! Have a great day all. xo

Just popped in to read the posts i miss on the weekend, we have internet at home but do you think i can ever find the time to log in and just have a quick read?? No chance :)

I wouldn't worry too much about the 500grams could be due to many things and could it not also be something you ate the day before that you haven't before? Not sure how the refeed works 100% but isn't this how you figure how what is good or bad for you in terms of either losing or picking up weight?

Your shoes sound absolutely amazing and you will definitely have to stay on the forum once you are done and keep us updated with all you news including all the wedding info :)

Hope your day has improved and you are feeling a bit better.

I added 2 pieces of bread yesterday - that was the difference. I guess it could have been that, but it didn't effect me in a bad way when I ate it. We'll see what tomorrow says.

This is how Day 7 went:
Weight: 56.8
Change since starting: -200grams
+ 2 bread
+ 2 good fruit
+ old vege
+ old protein

Breakfast: Yoghurt & Mango
Lunch: Toasted mozzarella & tomato sandwich + vegetables with melted cheese
Dinner: Chicken breast with veges

Snacks: Fruit salad of rockmelon & apple + 2 CB

WOW! I am SO full after dinner and I still have a portion of fruit salad to fit in! I would have not even normally eaten that amount pre cohens.. phew! Had to force it down...!!

Really looking forward to tomorrow. Kayaking, picnic, swimming, bbq! Tomorrow is where I can add in bad fruit, looking forward to a banana. Also upping the bread to 3! eek. hoping that the scales stay the same or go down tomorrow - really hoping they dont go up again :(

Hi all.

Im not feeling well at all today, I have quite bad cramps, hence why I think I have gone up a little on the scales. I really dont think it would be the bread, I have had no other reaction to it....

(I also made a mistake on yesterdays post, was supposed to say change since start: -100grams.

Day 8:
Weight: 57.1
Change since start: +200grams - not happy!
+ 3 bread
+ 1 bad fruit
+ 1 good fruit
+ old protein
+ old vege
Can mix proteins from today.

Just had breaky so far.
Breaky: 1 piece of toast with 1 egg scrambled and mushrooms.

I really hope I go back down tomorrow. I don't think I am going to count the drop to 56.3 the other day - it was one of those times when I got on the scales, it said 56.8 - i tried again, it said 56.3 - so I took that! We'll see what tomorrow brings. Today I'll just try and enjoy myself (apart from the cramps!) and not think about it.

Kristy, I had cramps towards the end of refeed (or just after) & my consultant recommended putting a little Celtic salt in a water bottle. You buy it at Health food shops. Don't worry about the scales unless your weight goes up by 1kg & then you know what to do. It's all good, xo Cate
 
Ah Kris, i really hope you feel better soon, and take Cate's advice, don't worry to much about the scale right now also wait until you feeling a bit better and then have a look, could it also not maybe be close to your TOM? Maybe that could be what is affecting your weight and where your cramps are coming from.

Its definately TOM cramps. It's been really awful all day - no drugs have helped!! We did kayaking (that actually made me feel a bit better) and a picnic but we were home by midday. We were supposed to head up to a friends for swimming and a bbq in the arvo but I felt so cruddy that we ended up staying in and watching movies in the air con.

Here's Day 8 cont...

Lunch: Tuna and salad sandwich with mayo and chicken and salad
Dinner: Grilled steak and chicken & veges (not inventive at all but i could not be bothered thinking!)

Snacks: 1 banana, fruit salad of apple, rockmelon and kiwi divided into 2 portions

I am so scared to get on those scales tomorrow. I know if I go up it wont be 'fat' weight, just water retention etc but it's hard not to get worried/anxious when you are so used to seeing the scales decrease not increase! My TOM is just such bad timing. Anyways, tomorrow I'm cutting down to 1 piece of bread because I'm not even enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I like the crackers so will go with them.

Sorry for my whinging - poor Chris has been putting up with it all day.
