Insomniac's exercise

2 bowls of cereal (1800kJs)
2 pieces of chocolate 220kJs
1 small pumpkin scone w/butter (700kJs)
2 bowls of soup (1300kJs)
1 shallow fried sausage on bread with a slice of cheese (1000kJs+)
Eight chips (300kJs?)

TOTAL: 5,000kJs +

Can't be sure about today but I think it's cruising around the normal amount.

I don't seem to have dropped any weight in the past week. Not a measly kilogram! Doesn't even seem like I've lost half of one. I've easily cut back on the wavering of about 4000kJs - 12000kJs that I used to do. I've knocked back multiple chances to get drunk or eat pizza or the like. I've even gone from no exercise to actually doing things. Yet, any improvements? No. Nothing.

And let's face it, a week of THOSE exercises would not have replaced fat with that much muscle. Not on me anyway. My body won't gain muscle without a real fight.

*sigh*

All so demoralising. You'd think you'd see the most changes in the first week! And I'm stressed out. Everyone in my family loses weight when they get stressed out. I binged once and even then it wasn't huge - it was just over maintenance levels.

Don't give up hope - it's only your first week after all. Hard though it is, stuff like wine, chocolate, and butter has to be a real luxury if you're wanting to take off weight. You've made changes, now you need to make more. If it were easy, everyone could/would do it. Just hang in there and keep your eyes on the prize.

2 bowls of soup - 1300kJs

1 half-schnitzel (500kJs), 2 chilli chicken tenders (2200kJs), 1 potato (250kJs), carrot (150kJs), brocolli, peas and corn (200kJs). Gravy (50kJs). Oil to cook in (1000kJs). Total - 4,350.

Made biscuits...
3125 - butter
1800 - sugar
2000 - sugar
400 - nuts
6000 - self-raising flour
200 - Kahlua

TOTAL - 13,525

Make 8. 1690kJs.

Ate one and broke it up, giving away about a fifth to others.

Medium banana.

TOTAL ALL DAY - 6,850+

Won Burger Ring packet. Saved it for another day. Refused a slice of chocolate mud cake. Had a diet coke rather than a diet coke and scotch.

If I wanna eat, I'll eat celery.

Damnit, I forgot that peanut butter cookie. It was just one and not large? Seemed like peanut butter lined with a thin layer of chocolate. I hope it's only about 500kJs. I worked that out, right? :p

Yesterday ended up not being too good. Today should hopefully be better. Irritatingly, I looked over the meats. Each sausage appears to be about 1500kJs, no matter which sausage! Thats 357 calories per sausage. That's a bit extravagant! If I eat two sausages, that's almost half my daily intake gone.

(And no, I wasn't planning on just eatting sausages - I just figured there were a dozen otherwise light and healthy meals I could make with sausages for the meat).

Meat is so calorific. If the meat itself isn't, the oil required to cook it, is.

Gah! It's all so expensive, time-consuming (taken me almost three hours to do the dishes, create a soup, create a stirfry and shop for the foods at a supermarket that's only a five minute walk away) and stressful because half the time it seems impossible to find something okay to eat.

Can it be put on a frying pan without oil or just grilled/baked?

If it's a non-stick frying pan I think you could do it without using oil. I currently prefer baking because I can add some barbecue or other sauces to the meat and smell it as it cooks.

Baking is pretty darn good.

I really hope that brand of puff pastry was as low-calorie as I remember. All of the other puff pastry brand are really terrible.

I love baked goods! :(

Also, went to Body Combat instead of Body Jam because I went in early. Didn't like it, so I left to do some cardio ... got six minutes on a bike before busting the pedal. Went to report it and when I got back, all the bikes were taken. Waited a bit but got bored and headed back.

Still too nervous to use the weights room.

Lost three kilograms in the past three weeks (about 6.6lbs, I do believe).

Yesterday I felt really dizzy, a bit queasy, and very tired. More tired than my six-seven hours sleep would warrant. I wonder if by cutting back on meat to about a serve a day I've cut back too much on iron? Back when I nutrient-counted I found out that I normally get between two thirds to four fifths of the daily requirement. Folate was always at about 25%. I do wonder...
