They have you do a lot of pull-ups in boot? That might be why for the rows. How about adding 2 sets and do a 5x5 for all.
In basic, we did pullups 5 times a week. I think I could probably hit 16-20 in 1 set right now; I never maxed it though. I'm not adding 2 sets because the way the program is set up for me not to change it. I don't want to jump weight either; I like the linear progress.
