Great job Q! I need to catch up on my entries. All still been walking. Will need to think how to change this for next month because the Feb weekly weigh in challenge I am behind 9.5 lbs and am actually still UP 0.5 lbs. NOT COOL!!! But it's what I get for not putting in more effort. Seems walking for me isn't doing much if anything at all.

I'm guessing you will already know what I'm about to reccomend, but running would certainly give things a boost. You could start by adding a short slow jog into your walks and increase little by little.
 
I made a chart for my calories and as I get closer to my goal weight, I burn less calories, so I have to start walking/running for longer periods. That's the case for everyone, so the best thing to do is increase your activity and see how it helps for the week. If you listen to music on an Ipod/phone or smart phone of some kind, I suggest the Zombies, Run! app, it tells you when to start jogging and when to walk. It's got a cool story too!

Anyway, I've had a few off days, but I'm doing at least 40min of walking a day now, so I'm getting back on track.
 
73.9 miles which means I've run from the house to the outskirts of Shreveport, Louisiana. I live in Texas. :D
 
Thanks for the challenge Icy! I was able to stay pretty consistent, still haven't got the weekends down though. But, I say if I can do a Saturday every other week. thats 5 days and then every other week 6 days. I think that's pretty good.

The challenge, makes me come and write it down, it makes me feel good, keeps me motivated.
 
7 days a week for 8 weeks. 56 workouts in a row 22 runs in a row. Tomorrow will be a rest day from running. I really wouldn't have done this well without the challenege. My hip has been hurting for the last couple of days, but I wanted to finish strong.

I used to play soccer, but I don't generally run just for exercise. Plus my "walking" is on the spot walking usually. Too cold outside to do anything. I try to do a bit of running/jogging but usually not.

I will look into that Zombies, Run! app....

I need a break for most challenges and think for now I will stick with just the weekly weigh in. But will try to start another one up in the coming weeks. If someone else wants to start it please feel free!
 
Sounds great! Well sorta. I hope you get others joining in there :) I took a quick read but I don't think it's for me.
