A little lesson for the kids from a wise old man ;)

Girls learn from a young age to have pre-set excuses and stories to tell guys as a form of self defence or as Spicy mentioned, to let a guy down gently.

In this instance, the girl found herself alone being approached by a guy on a bike. For all she knows this guy could be a total loser, idiot or far worse, so she carts out the old ‘I’m waiting for my boyfriend’ line. This answer sends the message that she doesn’t want to get hit on, or if the guy was a potential attacker/rapist, he might think that it’s a bit too risky and ride on.
Once you spent the time to talk to her even though you’d accepted that you weren’t going to get laid she realised you were a nice guy and asked for your number

Thats always a possibility C, But i recon she'd of told him by now that she doesnt really have a bf.

I know loads of girls who'l go out with other lads while they have a bf. Iv done it myself! :D
 
I'll bet you a rep that she was single all along :). If she was a player she wouldn't have mentioned the boyfriend straight away.

That's pretty much what i've been tryna say, only with not as much detail as described here.
 
well, I cut the crap and called her up, she sounded happy and excited that I called her.. I am gonna go for a walk with her by the river tonight... get to know her better.


She wants me to be the man, left all the plans totally up to me, what time, if we were gonna bike or walk, etc.

Yeah, she probably didn't have a boyfriend... I barely considered that.

P.S. Man... getting girls is all about the confidence, I use to think it was way harder, but ya just gotta talk to em'.......... and dress good.

Good choise on walking vs biking. It's way more convenient to talk if you walk. Just make sure you don't talk in rhyme since then it will seem as if you're a bit out of your time

I believe it was because of a past relationship that made me want to live the single life for a while...

I just didn't care about getting a gf, seemed like way too much work. Just was concentrating on college and gaining muscle.
