oh yeah right Scrappy!!!!! no I was at work til 3 today. FIlled in a bunch a shifts this week too. AND next will I will be doing that as well. I have no day off until the 27th. UGH. that feels like an eternity.
Scrappy, you found me out. I HATE VEGGIES. Fruits I try. I really do. So after this I will get out the pears in fruit juice and the dried plums. OH does yogurt count as fruit? ha just trying. BUt you are right. and I know that vegatables are sooooo important. I buy lettuce and then I usually and up feeding it all to my snails. ooops. Okay

NEW GOAL: FRUIT AND A VEGGI EVERYDAY!!!!!

TODAY:
10am-cereal
3pm-turkey sandwhich and pickles

Okay and now I will go have some fruit.
 
Another veggie hater join my club mate lol. What veggies, salad fruit do you like? Maybe I can help you with some recipes that you can freeze and have as easy dinners for when you are working so much.
 
I guess I like all fruits pretty much, I just hardly ever buy them ya know. And vegatables, I don't like the greens so much. I like corn, carrots, sometimes broccoli and cauliflower. Ummmm, I HATE PEAS. anything else I can tolerate. I just don't enjoy eating ya know. I've never been called mate by an authentic Australian!!! That was fun to hear!!! thanks rosered!!
 
Lol, its starting to get cold there ay give me a couple of days and I will get you a few recipes typed up. Do you like sweets…deserts? If there is something you don’t understand in the recipes let me no, sometimes we call things by different names.
 
weight watchers is great. I was going to meetings every Monday. But then money got really tight. that's why I started coming here. I get way more support here than I ever did at WW, and I don't have to pay!! I am going to see if I can continue losing the weight without attending the meetings...so Kim keep an eye on me!!

You are so right! This board is the best support group ever!!!! I truly believe that this forum is the missing key to weight loss. I mean let's face it, we all know that healthy food, more water, and more exercise will cause weight loss. But, I think, by participating here we kick it up to a more permanent level!
As for the veggies... is it the taste/texture or the work level involved? The more convient I make fruits and veggies, the more likely I am to eat them, but, then again, I like them. If you don't want a carrot, you still don't want it if it is already peeled and sitting with the dip!

I have tried in the past to cut up the veggies and put them in individual portions in the fridge...but I never feel like "oooh I want some raw broccoli right now" It's terrible. I will try though I need to focus on stuff like that. ANd you know I never would have thought of it. but you guys are here to point out stuff like that for me. And I appreciate it a whole lot!! It's kind of easy to miss things about yourself you k ow.
 
ugh, I'm having the same problem. You just can't get me to eat my veggies. Maybe I should try keeping some canned sweet corn and maybe some broccoli. But I really don't like broccoli that isn't steamed and mixed in with pasta. Maybe try some carrot sticks with your lunch and some corn or something with dinner?

I can't really say though. But hopefully you can keep up weight loss!!
 
you ladies could try celery sticks with low fat peanut butter... or celery sticks with salsa...... I dont like carrots anymore! I'm carroted out! LOL
I find that if you can cover up the veggie taste (partially) with soething low fat or healthy, it helps with eating the veggies....

I used to make a veggi dip with plain fat free yogurt and ranch packets. It was pretty good. Hmmm maybe I should do that. Yes I have snails in my fish tank. They love romaine lettuce and cucumbers.
 
Okay James comes home tonight. We're staying in though. whew. but tomorrow he wants to go see a movie. does anyone else have that problem with movie popcorn like I do??

I could eat a whole tub of it myself. And it's a guy flick we're seeing so YOU KNOW I am gonna be all over that buttery sh**. Oh boy.
 
today at work I will try to eat more of the vegatables at supper. I think I am making corn and fresh veggies. Probably carrot and celery sticks. Those are alright. WHenever ever I smell celery I think of my sister Becca who's 7 and my brother Tyler who's 1 1/2. Becca always had a celery stick in her hand when she was little, and now Ty is the same way. they are out of town this weekend. I miss them already.

My sister JenaLee is at a youth group thing out of state-she's 16. and so I am in charge of watching my 14 yr brother. he was supposed to stay here last night. But he called and asked (at midnight) if he could stay at home with a friend. I was just like whatever. But Ma's gonna kill me if she finds out. Oh well. Oh, there is no school here today or yesterday. Hunting season.
 
So far this morning all I;ve had is a Diet Rockstar. I'm not hungry. I know I should eat something. BUt a cigarette sounds much better today. UGHHHHHH when will I quit this nasty habit again?? I need tooo. My body turns to jello when I think about it bc I feel so.... GUILTY and WRONG when I smoke. It's really terrible. To depend on something like this. I never thought I did before. I could go days without smoking. NOw if I don;t get one whenever I want I go crazy inside. What is wrong with me??? Girls, got any ideas?

Melissa~ smails sound cute. I used to have one in my tank but he died.. I felt sad, but then I noticed my tank was a million times cleaner! he always left this slime trail on the glass and everywhere really...
No school for hunting season? INSANE! We dont have that in Chicago... We hardley get off school for snow days and stuff like that.
And Diet Rockstar.... I have NO clue what that is LMAO!
Hopefully you dont get in trouble with your little brother... i know how that goes. I have an older bro and sis but I was always the resposible one in charge....
Yeah we got in A LOT of trouble, cause I was still in my partying stage!
I could eat ten tubs of popcorn, or until my lips fell off from all the salt! LOL
Try to stay away, or dont get butter.... That may be better!
 
Funny about movie popcorn, I always want it when we get to the movies, but by the time we leave the movies I want to be sick. I'm not sure if it is sheer amount of grease or the overload on the carbs, but I really can't eat a tub of it, even though I want it. And I don't see much point in eating it if there isn't salt and butter on it. (which is funny because at home i am content to eat healthier popcorn.)
Sounds like you have a big family!

Well, we were going to see DOOM. I wanted to see North Country. I through a big enough fit, and we didn't go to a movie at all!!!! we went and rented a bunch of movies, and sat at home all weekend. It was a really good time. although the snacking was a bit overdone. not too too much, but you know.

I have 11 pts left for the day. And I plan to run for about an hour tonight. Errrrr maybe 45 minutes...
