Weight-Loss Holiday (Christmas) Challenge Week 4 Bonus

Weight-Loss
This weeks challenge will be just what I need to kick my butt into the exercise gear! and I'm all updated!

Real challenge

OK, in order to get the complete set of points I am doing 4 days of this week additional 15 min of exercises on top of my usual activity. I have decided to exerciese my dough tummy. I do not enjoy it but I am glad that I do it because I have never ever exercised more than I do now in my life.

You can't spot reduce. But man, do I wish you could. I'm losing weight in all the places it needs it least..lol. Your body will lose inches where it chooses, and all the crunches in the world won't make you lose fat from your belly. It will tone the muscles, though. :)

There are studies I have read about that evidence that some spot reduction is possible, I forget the science behind it but something about heating up that area. But probably not to the extent we all want.

I will never know why but I lost loads of weight off my left thigh before any came off my right thigh. There was a vast difference between them. Anyone would swear that I go round hopping all day based on my legs when I had lost 35 pounds. Thankfully it evened up later.

this should get me motivated to hit the gym after this past week! although i am happy there was no difference in my weight from this past week! now all i need to do is survive the next 4 weeks of holidays. Keep the chocolate and candy canes out of my view!

bonus 4

Oh well I know spot reduction is not possible. I can say this because even when I was slim I used to have this life-belt always with me. But ok it doesn't matter I'll work out as it was possible to get rid of it. By the way the video I am doing is called "15 min abs workout" but the exercises actually go for only 13 min so I do 2 min of jumping on loud music. I am punctual to get my points but you can't make me exercise more than this! :banghead:

Oh, next week's bonus is to work out for a total of 8hrs. :smilielol5::smilielol5:

Noooooo! ;) I'm already cursing DDR, which is my main opportunity for exercise in this cold damp weather. Way too high-impact for the benefits, IMHO.

I need some new exercise ideas. I like my morning stuff, but that's only 15 minutes long, and I don't like it enough to do it multiple times a day. I have access to a NordicTrack (the ski machine thing, not the elliptical) at work, but I can't do too much of it, because it strains my shins. MIL wants to get a secondhand treadmill (she has the same problem I do - she doesn't want to walk in the dark in the cold on our unlit, unsidewalked street); I'd rather get weights, except there's absolutely no place to put them. (Gym membership totally not in the budget - it's $40 a month or more at every place convenient enough that I'd actually go, and the budget has no extra $40 in it.)

So what fun stuff do y'all do to get your exercise in? (And before anyone suggest bedroom athletics, I'm not that athletic. ;) )

Pilates are supposed to be good. I've never done them myself, though. I love my exercise bike during the winter. What about walking in a local mall? Do you have any close by? I've also got some Turbo Jam dvds but I rarely use them.

Eight hours - please - pretty please.

Go on - it sounds good to me.

It's not like you said 8 hours a day - now that would be excessive!

Umm....no. I'm (as are others) struggling as it is to get in 4.5hrs this week. I think I'd have a mutiny on my hands if I made it 8hrs..lol.

Hey team-mate Ally!

Check this out...

I'm askin' for it on my C-Mas List

Denise Austin Dance Mix is also fun!

Only $9.44 at Super Wal*Mart!

My favorite routines are the Latin Groove and Club Funk.

:waving:

What about walking in a local mall? Do you have any close by?

The closest one is 11 miles by GoogleMaps, but more like 30 minutes due to massive traffic. Plus they close at 9pm, and DD's bedtime is between 7 and 8, so the timing doesn't work out. I live in the middle of nowhere!

I need to check out the shows on TV, so I know what I like. We have every cable channel under the sun (due to a long long story that saved us $100+ a month on phone bills).
