Having kids.......

how do you feel about having kids?

ok, just figured i would see how you all felt on this subject as far as having kids goes. i mean i know you all love your kids if you've already had some...LOL! but i'm curious to know how everyone feels because i do not have kids. i have a couple friends who say different things to me. one says have them now before you can't, they're great. another says, anyone that tells you it's great is lying. most of my friends look mentally and physically drained and it's kind of scary....LOL! so, just curious how you all feel, even those of you who don't have them. so i've created a silly poll to see how people feel in general about the subject.

Depends on what sort of lifestyle you currently have. I mean if you're working 8 hours a day, and you have children, then obviously you're not going to be home all that much and you might get even more stressed out with normal everyday things like a temper fit, or waking up to go to school or feeding. So if you're a stay-at-home type mom, or dad, then yeah, probably having children would be a great idea and might be stress free... well not totally but you don't have to worry about the added stress from work. ;)
 
Having kids is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me and in many ways it's a form of redemption for the soul. I used to regret a lot of stuff in my life but since having kids I can't regret anything as it's the path that led me to having them. Because of them I've lived a life without regrets which is a great gift from them to me.

Also, if you do have a stressed and busy lifestyle like Dallen mentioned then kids make it so much easier as when you're doing your crappy job with no money 'till payday, credit cards debts, high blood pressure, wife stressing you out over stuff, and you think 'why do I put myself through this?' then you can just look at the picture of your kids on your desk and it gives everything purpose and meaning.

You get the idea, I love kids, I'd just keep having them if I could afford to keep buying a bigger house every year :D
 
I love my kids, best thing I’ve ever done was having them.

I feel for those kids in the world that aren’t getting a 100% out of their parents. pretty much sucks.
 
I have 3 great defining moments in my life. Marrying my wife. And the births of each of my 2 kids. If I had it to do over again....I'd do it in an instant.

yes, i can agree with this as well. i do work full time, guess that is why i am in no rush, but my biological clock is ticking...LOL!

purpose and meaning......i'm sure seeing them excited to see you after a long day at work is rewarding. very sweet. :)

can also totally agree with this. if i were to have kids, i'd want to be able to devote myself to them.
 
Kids are great. I have 1 and he is in his terrible, and I mean terrible 2s, but I wouldn't trade it for anything, even on the worse day when everything is a fight. No matter how bad of a mood I am in, one smile from him, or a little laugh and it makes everything better. It really is amazing.
 
on the serious sidde, i definatley love my babies. we do lots of stuff, and we learn alot from one another, and they make this living experience very dynamic.

Girls are best, my little girl is 5 and she's never thrown tantrums or misbehaved. The boy is only 1 so I'm hoping her behaviour will rub off on him
 
I'd be suprised if i didn't have a couple of kids that i don't know about.

But seriously, i definately want kids, my sis got pregs at 16, and i love my niece loads. I'd be a good dad and i know it :D

If i got my gf pregnant now i wouldn't even care. But if i want it my way, i want kids when im around 25, and make as many of the f**kers that i can (if i can handle it) ;)

I am content with having boys...then I only have to worry about their penis. With a girl, I have to worry about all the penises
