Aww not too long :)

I'm slowly getting used to it, i'm just over two weeks in, but it's been hard..Although I'm getting better...My total needed loss is 6 1/2 stone, but I don't expect to lose that in the 6 months. I had my first weigh in on Wednesday of this week and i've lost 18lbs, so just over a stone :)

Hows about you? x

i have to lose about 3.5-4 stone ideally ..i think I'lln be guided more by getting back into pre 14 stone clothes that feel comfortable etc and off course to get back to a healthy bmi...

18lb in two weeks is excellent news you must feel great...can you notice the difference as yet?

1st weighin

first weigh in and the results are good-8lbs down, hardly surpising given i am still on motly liquids, at the moment when i eat something a bit heavier than toast it comes up several hours later after sitting heavily in my throat for hours-would love a glass of diet coke to burp and clean but i dont know if it is harmful or detrimental to the program?

I am really pleased. But it's alot to lose and too be honest I have been very unwell with it all, so it's not really a healthy weight loss. The only good thing about it is, the last 3 days I have been eatting 3 tiny meals a day and they are staying down and I was expecting the weight to go back on a bit, but it still seems to be coming off, so thats good. I even brought my Wii Fit out yesterday, lol, so I'm def on the mend, but have to be very careful, it's very hit and miss with foods and drink. It will be 3weeks on Wednesday :) x:party:

not as bad as i thought

Hey! so u got it all done, how was it?

hey yeah, i got it done, i feel so in control now that i have it:driving:, the procedure went fine first few days were sickeningly awful but its been 9 days and i am getting better still struggling with the solids and cravings its hard just cos u cant have it does not mean u dont want it- i never realised how much food i eat its like all day before i had the balloon i was constantly grazing but now i am so full for hours after even a light meal that even if i did want to eat i couldnt, i am so happy i got it done and i am feeling really positive but then it has only been over a week so i dont want to get overconfident.:leaving:

Hey, i went with the hospital group in scotland as they were £1000 less than everywhere else. The procedure went very well, the hospital itself was very clean and staff were great BUT the aftercare isnt great (i think thats why it costs less). A dietician phones me once a month to ask my weight, first time she called she sent out info on foods to eat but thats it. To me i felt a bit let down as on the website it makes out u get lots of help etc etc but i feel all on my own with this. Its entirely up to u but if u can find somewhere else for same cost i'd do that and hope that the aftercare is better! good luck!!!

I can imagine its strange not to want to eat..like u I graze ( and pig out sometimes lol) I dont know what I'll do with my time lol..well apart from being sick that is:puke:

Have you noticed a difference in ur weight over the last 9 days? im the same, no regrets at all! im almost 4 weeks in and have lost 11lbs which im happy about. I aim to lose 3stone, but would be happy with 2 stone and work on the 3rd once balloon removed.

i am trying not to pay too much attention to it in case i jinx it but i notice a huge difference in my clothes already they are much looser aroiund the middle and my bra straps are starting to slide a little just enough for me to know that even 8lbs makes a physical difference-do u notice a difference in ur clothes? i want to lose as much as i can with the balloon to make it easier to keep up after its removed, i have about 4 stone+ to lose

Consultation

Hello all, I'm new here but hope to be a regular soon! I have a consultation in Vancouver this week, am excited and nervous. It's been great to have these blogs to read, and they've helped answer so many questions already.

Hi Chick1980 - I'll definitely check out your thread. For anyone with extra time on their hands  I've started a blog where I plan to follow my progress online - it's gastricballon(DOT)blogspot(DOT)com - Sorry for the (DOT)'s but the site wouldn't let me post a URL so just replace the (DOT) with a . (like you couldn't figure that out... :blush5:).

Good luck to all you ballooners out there and nice to know we're not alone.
