Firing-Up the Spirit Between Members

I was thinking It's more a case of 2 like minded (in terms of goals, and current stats) get in contact with each other, either by PM or Instant Messaging. If they are cool with each other they continue giving support etc Then after around a week of two of training with competition They start a competition in some Thread. For however long, Update at a time convenient for both participants and then let the other forumers' decide the winner.

As far as prizes... I'm really not sure aside from the pride of winning, the encouragement you get through out and like i said rep points. I mean I know I personally (Being 15 years old) don't have tons of money to buy prizes so I'm not sure how it would work. Also i haven't been on this forum long enough to know about the inter member relations, so i don't know whether other members will buy prizes.
 
Well you could have two people with like minded goals being essentially e-training partners. They could have a dual journal to share ideas with each other, and where other members could share ideas with them.

However for other people to then train them is asking alot I think from the forum members who would partake. That would sort of be like a Physique Clinic thing. That would get into a battle of who's advice is better, instead of the real idea: two people motivating and keeping each other accountable.

I think it would be a great benefit for a dual journal. Instead of a competition really, you're both trying to get to the same place and win. Thats the way I see it.

i read Chillens opening post only :p no offense, but I wanted to answer him...

This is already going on big time and if it were a "mentor program" so to say, it would lose it's personal interest dynamic.

the member I am working with I feel very good about helping because I am doin so out of interest, not out of following a program.

WEEEELLLL, I also feel a sense of duty, because of all the help I have received.....

you know Chillen, you may be sucking the spirit of service out of "IT" by trying to define it......... just a thought I have develope as I wrote this post.

^^ That was a serious post. Everyone who wants in could give their name. Then the names are divided or randomly put in half. Then ordered and each person gets to pick their partner in that order from the remaining pool.
