Ok....so when your weight changes, or on Monday weigh in's, just update your first post. If you want to talk about your day, how you're doing, etc then make a new post.
 
So hows everyones week going?? It seems as if I've lost all motivation. Ill be good in the morning, i'll exercise and eat healthy, but by around 10 or 11 i just start pigging out. I just hope I can lose SOMETHING by Monday!

Current Weight:157.3 (71.5kg)
High Weight:189 (86) - when my daughter was 3 months
Ultimate Goal Weight:132 (60kg)
Goal Weight for this comp:147 (67kg)
Plan to achieve goals:
- Exercise DVD every day (salsa, tae bo, hotpants or dance)
- 2 serves fruit, 3 serves dairy, 3 serves carbs, 2 serves protein, 5 serves vegies
This plan has got me down 25kg already (>50lbs)
 
oh okay, i think i understand. so we're just going to edit our stats in the first post rather than reposting every time something changes. that would indeed make lots of sense. am i getting that right? thanks for your patience :p

Thats exactly what I meant. I should have been more clear, sorry guys. I just thought we should update our original posts with our stats and if you have other discussion, you can just start a new post. Hope everyone is doing well.
 
Yay! We are all on the same page now!

I've just been not so motivated. It's my last week before classes start and I don't want to get serious...dumb.
 
Angelica and Kandazzle, I totally understand how you're feeling about lack of motivation. I just went through weeks of that, but I picked myself back up. You know what pushes me to really get to my goal? Getting dressed. When I am getting dressed for the day and the clothes are not fitting me comfortably or I know I'll have to walk around sucking my stomach in all day... that's when I'm like "I'm seriously going to stick to this!" Day after day of being unhappy in my own clothes, it all adds up and I've had enough. It gets so bad that I won't go out anywhere because of how I look. And that is not good. So for this past week I've been going to the gym daily and really sticking to eating less.And I'm already feeling slimmer. I just can't wait for the day that I don't have to worry about the roll on the top of my jeans. No more muffin top!!

I don't know if anyone can relate with the getting dressed thing, but that's really what gets me to want to workout and end up looking great in any outfit.

I find when I visit these forums daily, I tend to stay on track also. Just seeing people's before and after pics inspires me. Find something that really pushes you. Maybe you want to look amazing for the holiday get togethers? Or feel good being naked? Or just feel comfortable in your own clothes? Whatever it is, keep it in mind and just reach for your goal! :)
 
nessa, i totally agree. i have my "skinny jeans" from high school that i'm desperate to fit into again. i'm tired of having to sit a certain way to hide my pudgy tummy. soon, i won't have to!

as for me, i'm trying to eat MORE. first year of college was rough, and i was awful at balancing my time. end result? i ate an average of 700 kcals a day. so my metabolism is pretty screwed up right now, but i'm really trying to get it back on track so that i can start losing more weight. it's really rough... i'm working out 5 or 6 times a week, sweating like a pig, and eating healthy food. but i'm still not losing much at all... it's crazy how the body seems to have a mind of its own!

Yeah, the clothes thing does help. It's hard to feel fat in some stretch men's gym shorts...I need to get dressed in real clothes every day!

My new jeans are getting here tomorrow and they should fit (perhaps a tiny bit tight). They will be an inspiration. I plan to lose enough weight so that they don't fit by Halloween.
 
I know what you mean about the clothes. I have these size 5 jeans that fit me last year and dont even go up past my knees now. And it sux when going to school in the morning and having absolutely nothing to wear just because nothing fits right. I really wanted to get to the 140's by Sept so that I could go back to school shopping and get some nice stuff without being concerned about my belly but with it being only 15 days away, I dont really see that happening..oh well I guess I'll just have to keep working at this during school as well..i guess that's what this challenge is all about :doh:

High Weight: 215 (That's the highest I remember, I may have been higher)

Goal Weight for this comp: 175
Plan to achieve goals: I'm going to try to stay motivated (stick with exercise vids and going to the gym) and not give in to cravings so easily. I think I'm going to start taking the stairs instead of the elevator. I also got a pedometer; I want to do the 10,000 steps-a-day challenge.

The jeans are a tiny bit tight...*sigh*

Tomorrow is the first day of classes for me! Ahhh. Stress.

I'm going to really buckle down and track everything I eat this week. I think I'm underestimating calories.

I did lots of exercise today, but ate heaps too! I went shopping to celebrate my weight loss so far and it was awesome fitting into jeans and nice bras but I didn't buy anything. Instead I bought a new exercise DVD, I want to go down one more dress size before I spend money on clothes.

Has anyone done anything to celebrate their weightloss so far?

I've got a weigh in this saturday, I'm excited!

Anyway, eat well and work those butts off!
 
School started for me today. I've eaten pretty well so far, except for a little chips/salsa/queso fest, but I'm going to end the day on a good note. I'm getting ready to head to the gym for 30 minutes cardio followed by 30-45 minutes of a Yoga/Pilates blend (a class). I'm tired already from an early morning, but it will be worth it!

In regard to the celebration of weight loss, well I haven't lost any weight for awhile, so no not yet. When I get to 210 pounds, I will reward myself with a pedicure.
 
good on u kandazzle for exercising when you're tired. I have a baby and do med so I know how hard it can be, but I always feel so much better and awake afterwards even though it's the last thing I feel like doing.

My diet has taken a pounding. I am so stressed - my daughter won't go to bed at the right time and I have exams coming up.

I weighed myself early on a different set of scales and it looks like I haven't lost any weight (even though I have done soooooooooo much exercise this week!), so I'll have to work hard before saturday weigh-in. I REALLY want to get to get in under 70kg.

When I reach my next 10% goal, I'm going to reward myself with a pair of jeans, which I haven't been able to wear in years.
 
good question stuco... i was wondering the same. i thought it was monday?

i move in today... i'm kind of nervous. my roomie called me yesterday (she's already there) and she said she went to the gym, and was intimidated by the weight room. so she asked me if we could make a date and go together :) yay.
 
I think i'll withdraw from this challenge. Uni is too stressful at the moment, and I'm just going to exercise everyday, but not watch what I eat (won't be too bad because I only have health food in the house anyway). I don't have time to concentrate on losing weight until exams are over (5th September).

I am currently at 129. i think i may reach my goal before the end of fall semester! i'm hoping to be at 120 by the end of the month
