Weight-Loss
I had a good day yesterday, I ate very well, I added in extra protein and ate around 1750 calories, pretty good!! I went and did ONE HOUR of group Centergy at the gym, and it felt great! I'm sitting at exactly the same spot on the scale that arrow hasn't moved in weeks, it's really strange, I'm just waiting for that day I jump on and it's down 3lbs again. I think I'm really molding my body into a muscle machine, so I'm really fine with the scales, I just hope to see smaller sizes in clothes really soon. I'm just about there, stuff is really getting big. :) My goal to reach by the end of the month, is more tone definition. I'm getting ready to start so I'm feeling a bit bloated, time to download a ton of water the next few days! Good Luck everyone!

I ate very well and got in all my water. But I didn't get any exercise in. I'm not sure I have time. i have so much going at the moment. But I am expecting to be 155 by Mon. If all goes well. I have discovered that in one week's time I am to have a PMS visit. Which usually means a gain for me. So If I lose 2 lbs. aon this end of the month, I will be happy!!

My goals for the rest of the month are...

To pay more attention to my caloric intake and eat more fruits and veggies
Cut out as many carbs and salty foods as possible to be as bloat free while on my cruise
Continue to guzzle my green tea and water
I'd like to hit the 160 pound mark by the end of the month
Increase my weight used during exercise
Not to pig out while on vacation

I did really well yesterday. 1537 calories plus a three mile run with my daughter in the jogging stroller. An extra 23lbs to push while running is definitely a workout! I really need to focus on drinking mroe water. I am working out with my trainer tonight so that should be about 400 calories burned!

my goal is to get down to 135 by the end of the month, i'm currently hovering at 135.8 and at least 130 by august 20!

Terrible yesterday! Over 3000 calories. Absolutely no guilt for some reason, either! :rotflmao:

Still trekking! Going to make up for it the rest if the week!

Luteal phase is making me consume more. NO MORE BEER for a while! New promise!!!!:jump:

Cinderelly, you did 10.5 miles on the elipticle in one session??? You are my hero, its stroke time for me at .6, ha ha. Good job!!

Seven days left in the month of July and I want to see 180. I know 3lbs is a bit much to expect out of one week, but I'm going to try for it anyway and see if I can't at least make it to 181.

Things I need to do over the next seven days:
Increase water intake by 32oz.
Keep track of ALL foods eaten including nibbles while cooking.
Keep on schedule for going to the gym.

hi all! curvie girlie , i too can eat 3000+ cals in one day, indiscriminintly too. when im having one of those days, i just shovel whatevers around into my big mouth. i must learn if im going to pig out then at least make it something i really want. i hope you enjoyed it. :)
well im 0.8 lbs nearer to my mini goal and i ate well yesterday. had a lovely tea - soft tortilla wraps, grilled chicken, salad and i cooked some mushrooms in garlic to go with it :drooling: . but i must get more active again. ive been slacking a bit. we have had the most terrible "summer" over here in the uk: torrential rain, flooding and storms. doesnt inspire me to get out and about. slim

I did fairly well yesterday, managing a calorie deficit of 438 calories. This mostly came from exercise, including burning 200 calories on the elliptical and 300 calories on a brisk walk in the park with my baby.

I'm still trying to get out of calorie surplus hell, still have 68 calories to go before I even begin to shoot for my additional 1/2 pound loss (i.e. I believe the pound on the scale is not water weight so that needs to come down first). So now I have 6 days to burn 1800 calories. This should be doable if I make the effort, which I will since I'm in the End of July Challenge :D.

Good going everyone, keep on reporting and motivating the rest of us!

Ha Ha Ha - yup I did - the most Ive made it was 11.25 - it all depends on tiem and the kidlette's...However I totally had to work myself up to it - at one time I could only do like 3 mins and then 5 and so on:)

Well you are doing it chicky!!! This thread was great look at all the support you are recieving and hoe many ppl are jopining - maybe since you need this accountability you should do this at the beginning of every month and we can all set out monthly goals to work towards...I do that with the challeneges b/c that is what keeps me going :)I still dont understnad any of that surplus stuff...Kelly helped me figure out my numbers and such but I still just dont get it - I figure eat healthy exercsie lots and so be it!!!

I had a good day yesterday I ate about 1700 calories, I burned 350 at the gym doing my group groove class. I wasn't really hungry when I got home after the gym, just hot and thirsty. I had a few slices of jalapeño cheese and 1/2 steamed potato with salsa, that was about all I could stomach. I did munch on about 12 peanuts, had to shell them first. I had my normal bowl of honey nut cheerios for breakfast and chicken fajita for lunch, but substitute the refried beans for steamed beans, and I don't eat the rice. It was very good. Today, I had cheerios for breakfast with 1C 1% milk and lunch it's a slim fast shake. Dinner, not sure I'll be home alone so probably something easy and quick, maybe salad and fruit. I have group Groove and Group Power tonight, I'm really excited. That's about it! Enjoy your day everyone!!

I stayed within my goals yesterday. 1545 calories and 96oz of water. I burnt 500 calories at the gym last night with my trainer. I am super sore today fromn the workout but it was well worth it. I plan to have 1600-1700 calories today to fuel up for a 4 mile run tonight.

I'm gonna repost this from the 300+ club:

I have had a frustrating day today, I woke up, did my .5 on the Elipticle, walked a half mile with my baby, then worked biceps and forearms. Yesterday I only ate 23 out of my 43 points. I gained 1.5 pounds......

After thinking about this, I have been stalled with my weight loss for about a week but also have considerably added more exercise in the last week. Like I said earlier I am supposed to eat 43 points for weight watchers but looking back at my log, I have been 15 - 20 points below that for each day for the last week and a half.

So I'm going to make myself eat at least 35-43 points a day so my body doesn't go into starvation mode and hold on to everything. Also I'm going to drink more water, I have really been slacking on that.

I spoke to my boss who is a health nut and he suggested I should take measurements, I may be loosing size but not weight right now, so I did that too.

I may be a little bummed but not defeated!!! My workouts are getting better and better!!!

No reason to be bummed hb, you're doing an excellent job. You've lost a lot already so sometimes your body slows down a bit for a little while and like you've noted, change becomes necessary. As you noted, increasing the food and exercise is a good idea. Try mixing up the exercise with higher intensity intervals. Its hard work but from the tons of learning on the subject, it seems you burn way more fat that way (do a search on HIIT to find out about it). I had reached a plateau a few months ago and I was doing tons of "steady state" cardio but it was apparently getting me no where. Do you work out at a gym or home? I would use the weights more on the larger muscle groups rather than focusing on the arms. You burn tons more calories that way. But you really do sound like you know what you're doing, having lost all that weight already!

HBKOLB, my sister lost 70lbs on weight watchers, BUT.... she ate the amount of points she was supposed to based on height/weight. She rarely ate under her points, and she drank a butt load of water. During her meetings, they told her ALWAYS eat up to your points allowance, because your body will go in starvation mode. I think you need to up that food and meet those total points, I'm sure you'll see a difference right away. If I didn't see her lose all that weight, I wouldn't have believed it works, but it does!! GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the kind words Blancita!!

I have a Wieder 9625 2 station gym at home along with an elipticle and a stair stepper. I also have some free weights. Here is what I'm doing on a daily basis:

Elipticle .5 miles
Walking .5 miles

I weight lift 4 times a week, just started a new program implemented by my boss at work that splits up the muscle groups like this:

Day 1- (ARMS)
Biceps
Forearms

Day 2- (TRICEPS & CHEST)
Chest
Triceps

Day 3- (DELTOIDS)
Anterior Delt
Medial Delt
Posterior Delt

Day 4- (BACK & SHOULDERS)
Lats
Rhomboids
Low Back
Traps

I'm going to try adding intervals to my cardio, thanks for the suggestion!!!

Thanks Miss Ladybug, my wife just said the same exact thing about eating all my points, she is very happy with herself that someone else agrees with her and I am wrong

Seriously though, I am going to hit my points and see what happens!!

I'm doing the same thing!

I walked to the post office today when I woke up at noon (I was having a great dream about snuggling with some made-up cute celebrity and then being an improv actress in some weird play lol) and have been eating some good yummy food today. I have a 4 mile run in two hours  but then after I am going to Applebee's with my best friend from high school because she hasn't eaten out since May! So that's a really awesome reward to look forward to.

This thread is really gonna keep me accountable for tonight. I might get ONE Applebee's flavored lemonade cause they are soooo yummy and I'm thinkng the Portobello Steak, only 350 calories. I'm lookin online now so I'll know what I want to order when I get there.

Though I will probably end up eating like one or two of my best friend's fries or something, lol. But one or two is WAY better than a whole plateful and stays within my calorie limits!

spas, that's definitely the way to eat out, knowing what you're getting into before you even get there. Too bad they didn't all have their meals' calories online.

hb, don't hate on us wives. You know we're always right!

I have found in the past when trying to lose weight that the leg work outs are actually the best. The bigger muscle groups obviously burn more calories and its also very useful when they get bigger so those new muscles are burning more calories at rest and increasing your metabolism. Maybe switch the arms for the legs or add the legs if you have time. Just a suggestion, but its very obvious you're doing great regardless.
