Drinking water for weight loss

Lol I dont think that water will burn fat, but i'm sure that water is very good for your health! I always drink 3l water everyday! :)

drinking water is good to lose weight easily, even research as show that by talking up to 8 glasses of water will help you to burn fat
agree with your advice to loss weight..but i think it's not "easily"...i have tried for a week, maybe i drop down...but the new problem is coming...i always go to WC ..at my spare time,wc maybe is quite normal, however, when i'm at work,i still go even every hour..i have drink about 3c a day..haha , i think my boss have something to say.
maybe sometimes some green pills can solve the problems.

You are absolutely correct. People sometimes confuse thirst with hunger. You can end up consuming extra calories when a glass of water is really what you need. You should aim to drink about six to eight glasses (1.2 litres) of fluid, preferably water, every day – or more if it’s warm or you’re exercising.

I don't you should drink specific number of glasses. Instead, use the color of your urine as an indicator to how much you should be drinking.

Every persons body will have it's own "specific" happy zone for proper hydration. Indeed your urine should be clear when your properly hydrated. Of course consumption of vitamins will have an effect, however minus vitamins if your urine becomes yellowish in color you need water. If your urine starts to turn yellow/brown, that might indicate other issues. The effects of using water to lose weight is a matter open for discussion, but certainly sufficent hydration will help the entire bodily functions operate better.

Damn 3-4 Liters! Isn't that nearly double the (8) 8oz recommended?

I thought I was doing good at 1.8 Liters!

Is the reason for the additional ounces to curb hunger?

If I remember correctly, A woman once died for ingesting +5 liters of water in a day.

Not really sure anymore, saw that a long time ago, but there is no reason to force yourself to drink so much water.

I believe I drink I fair amount, I keep a 1 lt bottle (It's not a bottle, actually, but I don't know the english word for it) around me and drink through the day. I usually refill it 1 - 2 times.

My point is, don't obsess about it. Keep water around you and drink if you want, but not to the point of feeling bad.

The recommendation is based on the person's weight. A heavy person could easily found that they should be drinking A LOT more than 64 oz water.

The standard recommendation that I often see around different forums (the recommendation from the International Sports Medicine Institute) is 1 ounce for every 2 pounds that you weigh. That would make 64 oz just fine if you weigh 128 pounds...

Unfortunately quite a lot of us find that we weigh a lot more than 128 pounds...

If only I weighted 128!!

Thanks for the info, I need to be drinking a lot more water! Double in fact!

I have a hard time drinking the 64oz.

Lots of us struggle with water...

I can find loads of threads through the years here where crowds of us have complained about how tough it is to try to drink water at the calculated quantity... Challenges have often set it as a target for everyone to try - and so many people have found that they should drink more...

Most of us feel like we are swimming in it - and running to the toilet all the time...

The bottom line is that we have come here because we have not had ideal exercise and nutrition habits. We can work on improving things and do better - but it isnt realistic for us to expect perfection from ourselves... Skinny people are not perfect either... If we identify that we should drink more water - we should feel good about every day when we have more - even if we do not up to the targets that experts suggest. We are all a work in progress and not going to be perfection overnight.

Drink a lot of water is really good for health and also helpful to lose weight. With all that if you drink plenty of water your skin looks good that makes you feel good.

Are you sure drinking water is beneficial for reducing weight?

My mother takes at least 5 liters water a day, but still she get much weight :(

Drinking water is good for when you feel like a snack, by drinking water this will suppress the urge to eat.

Remember most of the body is made up off water, like all things it is good in moderation and you should certainly drink water before any other liquid like juice or fatty milk.

Calorie burning process needs adequate amount of water for functioning properly and dehydration minimizes rate of burning calories. so we need to drink sufficient amount of water.

The more water you drink, the more likely you will clear all impurities and lose weight.

8-10 glasses can be a challenge for those who have to work out of the office and be on the move constantly like taxi drivers, bus drivers etc.

That is why most bring water bottles with them whenever they drive.
