Sorry to read of your lady's injury. xo's to her.

I have noticed in your posts you have been keeping an eye out for injury. Checking your achilles, hammies and all that--- STOP IT!

you look for injury and you is gunna find it

a marathon is guna be a piece of cake for you. Do you have a goal time you are shooting for?

Thanks FF! Hips, butt, whatever you want to call it. :p

I have had issues several times in the past with achilles and hammies, so it will be a good day when they are out of my mind. It has usually happened towards the end of longer runs when I try to push it hard up a hill.

When I started training, my goal was under 4 hours. Now my goal is 3:45. We will see if that goal changes before the race. I am heading up with my dad on May 24th and we are going to run the first 23 miles of the actual course. That may tell me more on what I should expect for a time.

Wow, Drex, those are some terrific improvements. Your body fat has gotta be below 10%. Do you have a six-pack?

Thanks Richard! The top two of the 6 pack are pretty clear, the bottom 4 can definately still be more defined though. I will be posting some pics, probably within a month. I kind of want to be to my goal by June.

Ran 8 miles outside; 1:09:01.

Today marks 1 year of working out without missing a single day. I have not had a day without at least one work out incorporated into it since I re-started May 1. I didn't start on good nutrition until the end of August though. :)

My wife had her appointment with the surgeon today and got some very promising news. He gave her a different brace to wear that should replace what the torn tendon was doing. If it works, she will be able to run and play ball. It may or may not heal on its own, but if it works, even if it doesn't allow it to heal, it will at least allow her to hold off having surgery until winter. If it doesn't feel better in 2 weeks though, it will be off to surgery.

I am still thinking about this and I am still shocked by this. That is unfriggingbelievable!

It's a streak I am proud of, but unfortunately it will be coming to an end in June. I am going to have a couple off days in the week before the Marathon.

Ran 6 miles on the treadmill; 44:28.

Biked for 90 minutes.

Thanks Sparrow! I have my eyes on one in August. Once the marathon is finished I'm gong to look to get into a swimming class. I haven't really done any swimming since high school.

AM
Rowing for 30 minutes.

PM
Ran 8.2 miles outside; 1:07:43.

Was there lightning? I love running in the pouring rain because it is still warm. Running along a coatal road Ipod blaring with bob marley looking out to sea and seeing giant bolts of lightning hitting the water on the horizon sure is something.

I wasn't outside much, but I didn't notice any lightning. The rain was coming down pretty heavy though. I certainly don't mind the rain when it is warm, but it was in the low 50's and I just decided it would be much more comfortable inside. :) Plus I had biking on the schedule too and that was going to be inside for sure with the heavy rain.

you do realize your event will go off, rain or shine :D

of course you are 6'5" so you would be the highest point for lightning. Hey, I could come run with you and be safe. hehehe
